• Change sound 5.1 with Adobe Audition 3.0 PP CS4 timeline?

  Hi all!

  I use PP CS4 and Audition 3.0 - both installed correctly, both active.

  I have a 5.1 mix on a timeline that I must make a small modification to, I click right on the sound file and of course the option 'Edit in Audition' is available and I click on the option.  Adobe Audition 3.0 opens as expected and it opens with 6 separate audio files loaded into the Panel files (Centre, Front left, front right, left Surround, right Surround and LFE). So far so good!!!

  Then, using Audition, I do any sound changes in individual files and have everything just as I want to.  That's where I'm confused - according to what I infer from the PP CS4 help, all I have to do is 'Save' files in the hearing and changes will be displayed automatically in the chronology PP.  But for me and maybe I am doing something wrong, it does not work.  I save files to Audition, but when I go back to PP (always open, never closed) and play the timeline it plays the original sound, without any change, I did.

  Maybe I'm missing just a little, maybe the sound editing 5.1 in Audition is not possible?  I don't know, but I wish someone could help me to understand.  I've been playing with this thing for a few days with no results, please help.

  Multi-track editing in hearing is a little different. You'll need to export a multi-track file and replace your asset in PrPro. If you had just a mono or stereo stream and were not in Multi-track of the hearing mode, simple recording would be nice.

• Adobe Audition CS6 works with Wasapi or Wasapi-event Style?

  I think of buying a card internal sound for my Office Windows 10 PC to improve the audio peripheral base embedded in the motherboard (VIA HD Audio V2021). The sound card, I'm interested is the Asus Xonar Essence STX II, which was very welcomed. However, I'm not sure I could make it work with Adobe Audition CS6 because

  (a) if I use the ASIO driver, it ignores completely all Windows controls and I will remain no control over the volume either. That wouldn't matter if I was going to feed the analogue output to an external system, which had its own analog volume control, but I want to use it on my desktop with a helmet and so I should always be tuned to the output at full volume!

  (b) the next best thing would be Wasapi-event Style or just Wasapi. It would give me high quality sound and volume control. But I've never seen in the output of Adobe Audition CS6 settings, Wasapi offered as an option - I never saw Ms. or ASIO and as far as I know, Ms uses only Windows Live Sound, not Wasapi. So I wouldn't be able to use Wasapi with Adobe Audition.

  I could of course simply use MS with Windows Live Sound. But the sound quality reduction would contradict the point to get a better sound card. The other big problem with MS and Windows Direct Sound is that you must manually adjust the sampling rate in Adobe Audition based on each track that re-read you, otherwise hearing resamples it to match your last used setting. I don't know why it will be not only reproduce the beaches at their native sample rate but it will not be that's why I use ASIO or Wasapi.

  Yes, am I right to think hearing CS6 does not support Wasapi? Other thoughts?

  There is a lot to say about it - I'll try to cover at least some of them.

  CS6 hearing only supports MME and ASIO. Later versions will support WASAPI.

  Yes, there are not so many internal cards available nowadays, and those that there are tend to be expensive. If you really want a good map, then watch a Lynx L22 or something like it's – but make sure you're sitting when you read the price! However, a manufacturer that is more affordable than you may be interested is ESI - especially to their devices Maya44 and Juli (check specifications carefully before choosing). Avoid the Prodigy, as he uses the creative devices chipset, and you should avoid anything that bears this name attached to it - there was usually bad experiences with them for serious use, as their technology is really intended for the players, too.

I will propose allowing you to buy CC that is creative nails a base subscription model because CS6 is the previous version and the CC is the version the recent but, hearing CC is a 64-bit application.   I tried to see if other people had my same problem, and I have found that I must:

  If I have understood correctly, you are not able to get this option in first Pro CC to edit the clip in Audition.

  

  1. Please make sure that you have selected the audio clip you want to edit in Adobe Audition.

  2. If the above stated option is grayed out, please try to start the hearing, make sure that its job very well.

  Please check these two things for now, I will be search and will update the post.

  Hi all, I am having trouble with Adobe Audition CS5.5.

  The first time I ran it, it said that of the inputs and outputs audio frequencies were not the same, so the hearing could not save.

  This is almost certainly the root of your problem. Whenever Windows plays a sound, it resets the audio device to its own ridiculous parameters and does not return them later. As it says in the installation instructions very clearly - turn Windows all sounds OFF firmly.

  Please note: I am a newbie (only 2 hours old) with Adobe Audition CC on Mac OS X.

  I'm trying Adobe Audition CC but problems using Creative Headset WP-450 (Bluetooth) that comes with the microphone integrated and helmet.

  Under "Hearing" preferences: Audio hardware - default input and default output: when I select the "Creative WP - 450 Headset" adjustment so I can't record audio.

  (Under 'signal Input Meter' I can see the test signals - which means that the sound is captured by the helmet by the software).

  However, if I change my "Default" entry to the parameter "Bulit-in Microphone. so I'm able to record and play audio without any problem.

  This means: I can't use built-in headphones headphones/microphones with hearing CC and I have to use the built-in microphone or do I have to buy a separate microphone to record audio.

  Or, what I have to do a few extra settings in the software which I am not aware of.

  (I also searched a pilot about Creative WP - 450 headset but it does not come with any driver since it is a version of bluetooth and supported by Mac OS X).

  Hope someone can help me in the forum.

  It is possible that you have a mismatch of sampling frequencies. As you can probably not change of the headset, you will need to go into the configuration of Mac Audio and try a different sampling rate. You will also need to verify that you have the same settings in hearing.

• How to install VSTi in Adobe Audition CC?

  I tried to follow some tutorials, but they all seem to be very old. As it is now, my Audio Plugin Manager can't find anything, including .dll files that were provided during the installation. What I want to do is install some VSTi and use them with a MIDI keyboard, which seems to be possible in recent versions of Adobe Audition - but I can't find much information on how. I can't tell if the files I'm trying to install are just not compatible, because the Audio Plugin Manager doesn't register anything at all.

  Any help on the use of VSTi with Adobe Audition CC would be much appreciated.

  Hearing CC does not support VST or any MIDI control. The last time you could was with 3 AA which is probably the tutorials you have found and are not, I fear, relevant for current versions of Audition.

• Captivate 5.5 & Adobe Audition (Trial Version)

  I don't know what is happening here, although I can take a guess... CS6 hearing is not a part of the package 'rental', so it should not request new authentication - it must remain on the machine, as it does on my installation of it.

  So I guess something is happening in your machine is to destroy authentication - pointing well on something disturbing any registry that have been made. Favorites here (especially since you lose preferences as well) are so-called "anti-virus" software packages - especially Norton, but I am not convinced that McCaffee is less guilty. You need a relatively benign, such as AVG, that will not mess up your system for you. The other thing that can make a difference, it's how you are connected to the machine. You need to be a user with administrative privileges, otherwise all sorts of things stop working.

  The question of password, on the do not re-use, is normal - to do this, most of the organizations. But as I said, you shouldn't need to do this - it's certainly something in your computer security settings and the involved software that does this for you, not hearing.

• Adobe Audition 6 and Mackie MCU Pro Control Surface

  I recently opbtained a Mackie MCU Pro Control Surface, for use with Adobe Audition CS6. At first I used it with an i7 HP running Windows 8. He worked like a dream, do what I expected from him. Now, I have it plugged into my laptop, running Windows 7 Home Premium. Unfortunately, she refuses to meet orders in both directions.   I think I'm going to the end of the track and I have to just accept that hearing/Mackie work needs to be done on the desktop. It's a shame, but life is full of unknowns.
