  I have some problem try to Push sample work.
  I have the widget client running in the Simulator.
  I'm running the server java example (found at http://www.blackberry.com/go/pushwidgetsample) to send the request. Client and server are on the same machine.
  I changed the PIN used in the example of 2100000 A to 2100001 A server since it is my default PIN Simulator. When an attempt to send a helping hand with 2100001 A, the command console displays this error:
  Sending push button / http://localhost:28080? DESTINATION = 2100001A & PORT = 100 & REQUESTURI = localhost
  java.io.IOException: server returned HTTP response code: 403 for URL: http://localhost:28080 / push? DESTINATION = 2100001A & PORT = 100 & REQUESTURI = localhost

  And if I try the url specified in a web browser, I get:
  HTTP status 403 - no map device 2100001 a host to the PDAP.

  As suggested somewhere, I browse to www.google.com or www.rim.com a couple of times before you send the push (to register with the MDS), but it does not help.

  I Uncomment the push.application.reliable.ports line = 100 in C:\Program Files (x 86) \Research In Motion\BlackBerry Widget Packager\mds\config\rimpublic.property.

  If I try to push the default PIN 2100000 a, I get:

  Answer: Content length: 0

  which seems to indicate success ('Push connections' increments in the statistics page), but no response given that nobody is listening on this PIN.

  So why I can't push at 2100001A?
  Or y at - there a way to fix the PIN code of my Simulator "2100000A?

  Have you had any success pushing an e-mail instead of a PIN?

  Open the rimpublic.property file that is associated with the MDS Simulator - CS you are using (you can find in the file MDS\config of the installation of the BlackBerry Web plugin folder) and check that the values are found in the section [Simulator]?  It may look like this:

• In Device Manager, OTHER DEVICES has yellow question mark

  I always have problems with sudden black screens with auto restart.  It has been suggested that I get a new video driver, so I went into Device Manager, and since there is no list for video devices, I looked in the other devices section (which has PCI Simple Communications Controller, SM Bus controller, video controller, and video controller - compatible VGA) there is a yellow question mark next to each one.  I opened each of them and read, "Unknown manufacturer", and "the drivers for this device are not installed (Code 28) ' how to find who is the manufacturer and model and the version?

  It might be true that it doesn't work with Windows 7, I never said it would work with Windows 7 (it's the XP forum, don't forget!) but there may be something similar.  Since WIndows 7 is so wunnerfool, they just left that have a completely since there must be no need for this.

  99% of the things on which I work is some flavor of Windows Server, XP or Citrix and haven't seen nobody wants to even consider moving their campus everything to Windows 7 and I do not see happening any time soon!  It is not in their plans at all.

  I support a handful of populous (just a few) who have systems that require Windows 7 for some features and other things though, but they are just itty bitty compared to the basic XP installed.

  Because you have material in / connected to the computer that you have not installed the drivers provided by the manufacturer of the device for the hardware on your Windows XP system.

  Don't know if this forum is still monitored by the Oracle team and if it remains just to post in the ovule. In any case, I posted the same on my blog here, but I hope this will help others to put it here.
  I had some problems with the latest devices of Peoplesoft (for VirtualBox):
  1. in/etc/selinux/config, SELINUX is not defined, it raises a lot of mistakes, to work around, I put it in "" disabled "".
  2. the definition of report on FSCM92 node is undefined (I'm surprised because it is set to HCM92), have to do it manually
  3. several Samba error like 'cannot connect to CUPS server localhost:631 - Connection refused", I added the"printing = bsd"line in the file /etc/samba/smb.conf to work around
  4 when I started two of the devices, the Samba triggers another error like "register_name_response: server IP 192.168.1.20 rejected our VBOX < 20 name registration > IP 192.168.1.21 with error code 6, it's because the"netbios name"is the same on devices, change to something unique this problem (read file).
  5. the FSCM92, the application does not start at the start of the server, to make it right, I did:

• Module output print size question

  Since the upgrade to CC, my output in the print module size does not work like it used to.  I have a custom file size that is configured to print to jpg (for blogs) and am able to points.  I put it to 800 x 600 pts, 300 dpi.  When it prints the jpg, the actual size, it sends it is 3333 x 2708 (or various other huge files).  It's the same way I always have, but now it seems that it is not change the size of the image file full original size at all.  Any suggestions?

  Points are a measure of the physical size, unusual to use instead of inches or in centimeters, but perfectly valid.

  800 points is 800/72 = 11.111 "@ 300 DPI = 3333 pixel"

  600 points is 600/72 = 8.333 "@ 300 DPI = 2500 pixels"

  The foregoing is what to expect, the output specification that you mention. It seems great for blogging purposes.

  So, I wonder if your numbers 800 x 600 are supposed to also go out as the dimensions of the pixels ?

  If for your PPI, affecting 72 instead of 300 , will map each point (physical size) on a pixel (in output file), since 1 pt = 1/72 inch (per current convention).

  If you get an image of 800 x 600 pixels for the blog.

  800 points / 72 = 11,111 "@ 72 dpi = 800 pixels"

  or to say the opposite, 72 points is 1 inch and 72 dpi, an inch produced 72 pixels.

• Weird disk size question

  Sorry if this sounds too easy.  I looked in the other posts but can't find an answer.

  I'm using VMWARE Workstation 6.5.0 and have been very happy with it, but I can't find an answer to the question.

  I have setup a Windows XP Pro Virtual Machine and installed a number of software packages, all work very well, but I went to install another product and can not because there is not enough free space on hard drive of the virtual computer.

  -When I check properties Win XP Pro, in VMWare's watch a 45 GB HD specified

  -When I start the virtual machine and check under Start, my computer, drive C: shows GB total 21.9 and 1.29 GB free.

  Is not jive with the allotted 45 GB size and I have no idea how to solve this problem.

  For a graphical interface within your VM XP, right-click on my computer and select manage. Then select disk management. That should show you scores and their sizes. Any expansion that you have done will be displayed as free space until you re-partition it.

  For XP, it's easier to use a 3rd party partitioning program, I was using Partition Commander for several years. The most recent live CD Linux distro will do, but I would be careful.

• Phone and Tablet Menu size questions

  Hello again!

  I have trouble to adapt to the size of the menu bar on the phone and Tablet layout of my site. The layout of the Office is good to go, but the problem here is I want to make the menu bar in the smart phone of my site layout adjusts automatically to the size of the screen while keeping the three expand button on the left and the tabs in the menu bar in the Center. I would like also for the menu to expand only when the user clicks on, and not only when the mouse pointer is placed on it.

  Apart, another issue I'm facing is the menu bar on the presentation of the Tablet, how can I do to make it develops across the screen entirely and not just after the last button in menu bar? I want the menu bar completely through the entire screen is any size of the tablet.

  The problem I see in this design is that if any attribute is changed there is no surrogate key, the new record is inserted first taking the key dimension based on the (natural_key, source_name, current_record_ind).
  Shouldn't it be kept as follows based on the principles of data warehousing.

  Correct, your second example for example by using a surrogate key is design to go with.

  Flaws with the original design:

  -There is a relationship one between Dimension_Key and Natural_Key, no need to keep both.
  -Si Dimension_Key is the FK with a fact table, there will be a number of many relationships between fact and Dimension.
  -Additional processing to search for Dimension_Key rather than simply for example use a sequence.

• 6248P TROLLING MAX FRAME SIZE Question

  Just curious, if there is no performance gain by increasing the size of the frame of the ports in a GAP between two switches (both are 6248P)? If Yes, what size would be best?

  I know that you did not mention the frames, but this article does a good job, discuss the ins and outs of allowing larger images on your network.  The answer is really subjective to your particular network you traffic are running through it.

  I believe you can. You not remove the account from the BIS, just the e-mail account. You won't have any future emails transferred from the old to the new, you lose nothing of the old address when you remove it.

  Another reason not to use these addresses (outside all uncontrollable mails they collect).

• Beginner frame size question-new sequence is not what says PP

  I want to crop 30px from the bottom of a 576 x 352 movie. If only I could drag a marquee selection autour with a crop tool and save it would be perfect.

  All that I know to do is create a new sequence with the new frame size 576 x 322, then copy the old film in it. I have create a new sequence of Custom, and PP dialog box shows that it has the desired size (scrn bottom CAP), but it isn't... its actually much smaller and the most cultivated in all parts. When I copy in the 576 x 352 images in to the new sequence, the image size is not yet near. What I am doing wrong?

  The spacing in pixels between these two screens do not match... are the pixels of your film footage square pixels, or more narrow les.909? Make sure your settings to completely sequence corresponding to the size of the image file - and all other things except to change the dimension of height. So remember to slide images of this sequence, using 'set to the size of the image' and see if it works better.

  We use 9 Captivate and we want to create a quiz results page customized with five categories (each question in the quiz is tagged with 1-5 interaction IDs) each question in the module will have the points assigned to one of five categories. Each question will be worth 10 points. Each question uses an integrated in multiple choice or reactive quiz question slide. We want the results to calculate and display screen the score of the learner in each category. Thus, for example, if there are three questions in class 1 and I get two right, we want that results screen to view it: category 01:20 / 30.

  In short, we want to create five numeric variables. Each question will be assigned to a variable. Each correct answer should add 10 to the numeric variable. The results screen should display a count of five numeric variables.

  How can we do this? Please help :)

  In this case, you have the second approach. Create 5 user variables v_cat1, v_cat2... v_cat5 with a default value of 0. Create a shared action that you can attach to the success events and failure of the glide of the question. It will be something like this (didn't try, little busy at the moment):

  • Expression v_cat1 = v_cat1 + cpQuizInfoLastSlidePointScored
  • Go to the next slide

  Only the v_cat1 variable must be a parameter. When you apply this action to both events of a question, you only have to indicate the correct variable.

  On your score slide, insert this user variable in a text container.

  You want to have the maximum calculated also? Then you will need 5 user additional variables v_max1, v_max2... v_max5. Add an order more to your shared action:

  • Expression v_max1 = v_max1 + cpQuizInfoPointsPerQuestionSlide

  This means that now two parameters (variables two user).
