  • Upgrade memory for Pavilion dv7

In October, I bought a Pavilion dv7 (model dv7t-7000) with 16 GB of RAM.  Is it possible to upgrade to 32 GB?  I also want to add an SSD as a second drive.  Is this possible.

    Hello

It's a CTO machine so we can have its specifications.

    1. for the RAM, I think 16 GB is its limit as shown in the following link:

  • Pavilion dv7-3078nr: upgrade memory for Pavilion dv7-3078nr

Hello! I have a portable entertainment dv7 model 3078nr number (number of product VU152UA #ABA). It has 4 GB of ram, which I had remembered as being the maximum installable. I recently upgraded to Windows (64-bit, home) to Windows 7 (same) 10 and have found that basic memory usage is higher, and he hits the high waterline much more quickly than before. (for example alert low Windows of memory, then programs disappear suddenly after.) I was surprised when adressing this notice that the model profile page lists the maximum memory 8 GB.

So! My question is especially that after searching around for some time, unable to really find anything clear, the maximum memory I can install anything (I read on another model dv7 modules available because the documentation was written enabled 2x8gb instead of 2 x 4 GB, for example), and what my best options to acquire it.

I tried manually by lifting my laptop on the Crucial site, but it has not been expressly listed. Their donnГ diagnostic tool using a results page with two 8 GB kits listed, but both at $239, that seems kind of evil? The listed modules were:

    8 GB (4GBx2) Kit DDR2 PC2-6400 unbuffered NON ECC 1.8V 512Meg x 64
    8 GB (4GBx2) Kit DDR2 PC2-5300 unbuffered NON ECC 1.8V 512Meg x 64

I believe that what are already installed are 2x2gb DDR PC2-6400.

Memory modules are used in these different workbooks and therefore rarer than those used in a configuration standard tour? I don't have memory before and would appreciate any guidance on what the options are and what specifications of the modules in order to search. Thank you for reading.

Right! Both tl; Dr: compatible with the motherboard modules are old and rare, which makes them incredibly expensive for what they are in today's terms.

  • Max memory for dv2670ee

    Hello

I have laptop dv2670ee that has 1 GB of RAM with the Vista operating system. Now, I want to update my RAM. The spec sheet of product available in the HP website, the maximum memory can be upgraded is 2 GB, but the scanner tool online as said crucial.com memory maximum upgrable is 4 GB, 2 GB per slot. I'm confused now says the product spec sheet 2 GB per slot or 2 GB as a whole. Please can someone tell me if I can improve my RAM to 4 GB.

    Thank you

I was under the impression that all the models dv2500 and upper could use 4 gigs. Repair shows models with Intel processor and AMD discrete graphics (like yours) card can use 4 gigs. But I also see the 2 GB max statements on several sites of memory. Here is the Manual:

I'm sure you can use 4 concerts, but I'm not going to guarantee it.

  • Max memory for 600th

I have a 600th I just updated the 40 GB HARD drive and upgraded to XP Home.  I want maximum memory on this machine.  When I search the suppliers of memory and other tips TP, it seems contradictory information about the maximum amount of memory that can be used.  Some say I can add two modules of 128K to give me a total of 288Meg.  Other tips and seller sites say that I add two modules for a total of 544meg 256 meg.

I'm running bios represented as the most up-to-date on the site of Lenovo INET36WW 20/11/99.

What is my chance of success if I add two 256Meg modules?

    Any experience or advice appreciated.

    Kind regards

    Bill

There are 2 PC100 low density or 133 glue to the maximum your machine's memory. These will be have 8 chips per side (16 in total) and will give you a total of 576 MB, assuming that your machine has 64 MB on board because most of them don't.

    I hope this helps.

  • Max Memory for Satellite Pro L10

What is the maximum amount of memory that can be installed in Satellite Pro L10? When I bought the laptop in 2005, it was 1 GB. This limit is now higher with the new BIOS, released November 6, 2009?

Satellite Pro L10 (PSL15E) can manage with only 1 GB of RAM.
BIOS update has nothing to do with it and after the update of the BIOS, that this value will not be changed.

  • Max Hardrive for CQ70-120US

Hello.  I want to improve my hardrive.  Anyone know what's the max hardrive taken capacity supported for my CQ70-120US laptop model?

Also is the maximum RAM supported limited to 3Gigs?

Here are the official specifications of HP:

    Plug

He said that you are limited to 3 gigs, but according to me, what they are referring to the max memory for 32-bit Vista which is 3 gigs. There is no need to go beyond 3 GB if you have a 32-bit version of Windows. I'm pretty sure that the laptop would be 4 GB of DDR2 memory, but it will be of use if you are installing a 64-bit version of Windows. The processor T3200 does support 64 bit OS' are unless HP has somehow that disabled in the BIOS.

With regard to the hard drive it is SATA so that you can install any drive laptop size on the market as long as it is 2.5 inches wide and 9.5 mm thick. I know you can use a 640 gig drive and they are even now 750 GB drives and 1 TB that will be adapted, but some of the biggest records wide 2.5 inches are too thick for laptops... more server blades are so careful to check the dimensions of what you buy.

  • Max Memory Upgrade for Pavilion a810y

How can I find the AMT of max memory I can put in my Pavilion a810y?  It of sites that say 4 GB and other telling that to 2 GB.  Is the real answer please stand up.

    Hello:

Your PC would have the Intel 915 chipset.

If the motherboard has no memory, each with 1 GB of memory, 2 slots then you're at the max.

Locations of Intel 915 chipset memory cannot manage more than 1 GB of memory.

The crucial memory upgrade link I posted said your PC had 4 locations of memory, so that the info is wrong.

If you upgrade to W7, I recommend you only go with the 32-bit version on your PC.

A 64-bit system requires more disk space and memory to run as a 32-bit system doesn't work - not double, but, with only 2 GB of memory, a 32 bit OS will perform a little better that will be a 64 bit OS, but who is to you.

  • Upgrade memory for Satellite 2800 400

I am trying to upgrade my ram to 128 on the laptop. After following the instructions for the instillation, that I turned the laptop on to find that it was slower than before and that the new ram had not registered as 128, and always thought it was 64 in someone can help me solve this ir is there anything I can do?

    Hi Ben

Maybe you used the memory modules bad.
As far as I know that you can upgrade memory for max 192 MB
The 64 MB has been installed in an internal memory and cannot be deleted.

    I found these compatible modules:
    PA3003U - 1 M 03 32 MB
    PS3004U - 1 M 06 64 MB
    PS3005U - 1 M 12 128 MB

  • Satellite Pro A100 - 828 Max memory speed

    Hello

Can someone please tell me the max speed of memory for Satellite Pro A100-828, I'm wanting to move to the 4 GB maximum but is some sites say the maximum speed is 533 MHz while others say to 667 MHz. For example, the Toshiba site lists only memory 533 MHz under the "Compatible" Options yet other sites list 667 MHz memory as compatible.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hello

You should check which bus (FSB) front would support.
Install the hardware diagnostic tool like Everest home edition, and you should be able to find this value.

If your chipset would support 667 Mhz then you can use these modules and the modules would go with 667 Mhz too.
