Maximum external resolution for Satellite L50-A-19N (PSKK6E)

Hello

What is the maximum resolution supported by this laptop to an external output (provided with HDMI Cable DVI)
To sum up, the laptop contains Intel HD 4600 and GPU from NVIDIA GT 740 M

To extend my question:
How can I find the version HDMI of this notebook and how to evaluate if the laptop will produce a good refresh (60 Hz +) to graduate to Full HD resolutions?

External resolution depends on the graphics card as well as the interface.

Greetings, on portable Satellite L50-A-19N (GT 740 M + i HD 4600), I get this BSOD more often than occasional crash (~ ~ once a day).
Driver name, I guess it's GPU problem (or GPU driver software).

After installing the latest graphics graphic drivers dedicated, and integrated Intel HD Graphics 15.36.21.64.4222, Geforce 353.06 WHQL, this problem persists for about a year, however in the last few weeks in high intensity.

Mobile home is connected only to external LCD for output (via original HDMI 1. 4A, audio HDMI cable activated, resolution 2560x1440@60Hz). Also, using the official monitor of the manufacturer driver (it's just INF file).

I don't know if it's a software driver or card/GPU mother/HW failure problem. Eventually can be caused by bad HDMI Cable or display panel (?).

I have clues to find the source of the problem and take the next steps to remove the problem, thanks in advance for any relevant info.

Hello, I think I have the same problem.
In my case, the problem goes away when I run out of battery. Try also chain the parameter of dynamic frequency Cpu bios of low dynamic forever.

  • Satellite L50-A-19N - sound doesn't work sometimes

    Hello

I am currently the owner of a Toshiba Satellite L50-A-19N and the sound does not work sometimes.

When I play an audio file or a video or same file while playing a video from YouTube, works well for a while and then suddenly it stops.
When that happens, his is always recognized the system because you can see in the volume control, but no sound from my speakers.
The same thing also happens when I connect my external audio interface (M - Audio Fast Track USB).

    I use Windows 8.1
Please help me, because I use my Toshiba mainly for music production and play.

    > When that happens, his is always recognized the system because you can see in the volume control, but no sound from my speakers.

Have you tried to connect a headset while this problem occurs?
    Please check.

In addition, you must uninstall the audio driver installed.
Then you must reboot the laptop and after installing the audio driver (you can get it from the page of the Toshiba driver) once again.

Finally and above all, you said that you are using an external audio interface.
I m not quite sure all these software but it might be possible that these additional 3rd party software could affect the internal sound card / driver. This should be checked as well.

If possible I recommend you test the laptop without these 3 tools/software audio

  • Clasps to satellite L50-A-19N - hard drive

    Hello

I own Satellite L50-A-19N, seen the question I sometimes hear a clap louder or the series of several shots of the laptop.

Probably, it comes out hard drive.
If I find SMART for internal HD() is no problematic interest, record Cdystaldiskinfo status is evaluated as being healthy.

However the occasional claps don't look too normal for me, never heard these and with such a volume of my previous computers.

Is this potential precursors disc collapse?
The laptop is not too old, about eight months only.

I guess that this noise is coming from the HARD drive.

I had a HARD drive (as far as I can remember it was at Hitachi) in the past who created similar clicking sound.
But the HARD drive worked properly.

However, I created a backup of my important files in case the HARD drive would be crashed.

  • Satellite L50-A-19N - HARD disk controller is not compatible SATA 3

    Hello.

    I have a model of L50-a-19n satellite.
The hard drive it is HGST Travelstar 5 K 1000 750 GB, SATA 6 Gbps (HTS541075A9E680/0J22412).

On Web site of the manufacturer and as Aida64 diagnostic software the hard drive is named SATA-III 600 MB/s.

But when I run the Crystaldiskinfo software or simillar, it is said that the taken and current transfer mode supported SATA/300.
    Why is it like that?

Is this some sort of software limmitation?
In the Bios, I turned on the performance mode.

HARD drive supports SATA 6 Gbit/s, but the portable controller is probably limited to SATA II (3 Gb/s)

If the HARD disk controller does not support SATA III, HARD drive performance will be limited.

  • Need drivers for Satellite L50-B-169

Okay, so I recently got a new laptop (Toshiba Satellite L50-B-169) and I installed an older version of Windows 7, I had to this topic, but I lost drivers disks provided when I got it and now I don't know which drivers and where to get them.

    Any advice? Thank you

According to the specifications of the computer laptop Satellite L50-B-169 was shipped without a preinstalled OS, there is no disk with drivers.
What you can do with this machine is the installation supported operating system.

All the necessary drivers, tools and utilities for your machine, you can find on the download page of Toshiba - http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp
I can see that your machine is supported for Windows 7 64-bit, so I think it's the best option for you.

If you need help with Windows installation or configuration do not hesitate to ask.

  • Need software Win 7 Fn for Satellite L50-A-18R

I have downgraded to windows 8.1 x for windows 7 64 x 64 and I was download all necessary drivers, but there are no drivers for the fn (function) key and when I adjust the volume and brightness I can do but there is no indicator to do this, is that all the drivers for the other satellites with windows 7 64 x factory installed that I can use? Thanks in advance

You may need to install the Toshiba value added Package for Windows 7 64 bit.
Value added package has been released for the Windows 7 system and this software is not in the laptop model...

So you can pick up this package, which has been published for different series of L50 - A, but also the other laptop models.

  • What is the maximum screen resolution for a 201 X (t) via X 200 ban & Displayport?

Since the X 201 (t) has such a small screen (when will we finally see tablets with 1400 x 1050 screen resolutions or even 1600 x 1200?) Manufacturers - wake up!) I plan to buy a large external screen.

But what is the maximum that a 201 X (t) can lead by the Displayport 200 X of the ban? I couldn't find any reliable information on that and the installation program does not say, as long as there is no such screen attached.

I read somewhere that it is capable of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Sounds great, but I have some doubts, that it is indeed the case. Could someone using such a screen please confirm that? I don't want to buy me such a screen high resolution just to watch some blury, set on the scale of resolution 1600 x 1200 (or other). Integrated graphics is actually capable of managing this resolution and this resolution will then be just unbearably slow?

    Michael

the displayport can lead a monitor 30 inches of WQXGA (2560 x 1600) resolution in its native resolution using either the displayport or if you use an active displayport to dvi converter dual link.

If you are not running any games or other graphics intensive programs, the X20x can drive the resolution max is very good.

  • Keyboard, audio and low performance with Satellite L50-A-19N index output

    Hello

I recently bought this laptop and I am very disappointed on the keyboard.

Construction seems pretty harsh, but typing typing particularly fast, I'm leaving A LOT of (double letters) or letters lack mistypes.

It seems to me that imperfect contact of the bladder base key.
I wanted to know if this is normal with this model or is to be retrieved.

Second disappointment is on the quality of the sound, using IDT pilot the most recent laptop (6.10.6491.0) Web but barebone sounds incredibly ugly.

I need to activate the audio component DTS which is turned OFF by default, only after the beep for the external speakers seem its listenable, but still not as good and audio of my previous laptop with Realtek HD Audio (about same class).

Can anyone recommend a better sound improvement or how to reach generally of better sound quality?

My third disappointment is on the performance of the processor, although he should have the processor i7 (4700MQ), the computer index in Passmark PeformanceTest reached only about 6600-6700 points, while different configurations with the same processor unit reach up to 7900-8000 points.

I would like to know if that could be a defective unit of CPU in my laptop or is rather caused by other circumstances as more slowly other components.

Thanks in advance for any tips/tricks out of this mess.

  • Upgrade processor for Satellite L50-A-138

What are the processors spend at L50-A-138?

    Can I put Intel i7-2820QM?

Update CPU or Exchange is not supported so, in my opinion, you should not think about it.
More info on what you can read on - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9401AX0001R01.htm

Since my upgrade of the CPU experience (I ve tested on older models) will not offer a spurt of fast execution. If you want more performance without risk to upgrade your 4 GB maximum RAM 8 GB support and exchange standard fast SSD HARD drive.
Believe me you will see the difference.

One last thing. I don't know how old is your laptop, but this action will void the warranty.

  • The search for OLD BIOS for Satellite L50-A-160 PSKK2E

Hi all! After the upgrade to 1.90 BIOS there is a problem with my SSD (840 EVO).
Where can I get old 1.70 BIOS?

    L50-A-160
    PSKK2E

    Thank you

Generally on Toshiba BIOS download page is always latest bios offers download and older versions are not available at all.

Can you please tell us what type of problem did you notice with new SSD?
Have you noticed this problem with the old BIOS version?

I can only imagine that Toshiba service provider in your country can get the older version for you. They have access to the database of Toshiba and I think they can get what they want.

  • Satellite L50-A-19N - need to update driver nVIDIA - some games do not work

    Hello

I have the problem with drivers nVIDIA for my 740 M,
The thing is that I can not update drivers because any drivers I have install my core 580 MHz GPU clock drops everything at stake. But when I return to the first drivers that I had on my base GPU clock portable (326.60) is 1058 MHz all-in game.

The problem is that I can't run some games because I need to update the drivers.
Just some games do not work on 326.60.

I tried to contact customer support, but the page is not available. -.-'

    Hello

First of all, please note that use of the 3rd third-party drivers is at your own risk.

You must use the drivers supplied by Toshiba driver page because these drivers are changed and designed for mobile use.

This driver supports the overheating protection, which means that in the cases that the temperature of the GPU would rise to higher level, the driver would clock down the GPU to maintain the temperature at the lower level.

Of course, as I said above, you might try to test the drivers from nVidia page but it is at your own risk.
