Maximum memory upgrade ZE4904US Pavilion

According to the specification, this laptop uses PC2700 DDR 333 memory and the maximum is 1024 MB (1 GB). Is there anyway to increase by 2 GB memory being available in modules of 1 GB PC2700 DDR memory?  What hardware or software restrictions are preventing the system goes beyond 1 GB?

The limitation may be either the chipset on the motherboard or bios, you can do anything if it's chipset, HP increases not the maximum allowed in an update of the bios, then there is nothing you can do, sorry.

I looked through the revisions of the bios for this model and no mention in addition in addition to ram max, but they don't always say when they do.

Does not look good for this model, if you buy the memory of a place with a friendly return policy you may try and see if it works with 2 GB.

  • Max Memory Upgrade for Pavilion a810y

How can I find the AMT of max memory I can put in my Pavilion a810y?  It of sites that say 4 GB and other telling that to 2 GB.  Is the real answer please stand up.

    Hello:

Your PC would have the Intel 915 chipset.

If the motherboard has no memory, each with 1 GB of memory, 2 slots then you're at the max.

Locations of Intel 915 chipset memory cannot manage more than 1 GB of memory.

The crucial memory upgrade link I posted said your PC had 4 locations of memory, so that the info is wrong.

If you upgrade to W7, I recommend you only go with the 32-bit version on your PC.

A 64-bit system requires more disk space and memory to run as a 32-bit system doesn't work - not double, but, with only 2 GB of memory, a 32 bit OS will perform a little better that will be a 64 bit OS, but who is to you.

  • Questions about memory upgrade HP Pavilion 13-B080SA

    Hi all

Recently, I bought the laptop above which came with 4 GB of memory.  I want to upgrade the memory up to 8 GB I have run a Windows VM in Linux and will require more then I have.  I was wondering if someone could please tell me how much memory slots that laptop has and what a memory, I need to get to 8 GB.

I had a glance on the HP site and am not able to find all the information about the amount of slots on this laptop.  It would be nice to have 2 slots like that I can buy a single 4 GB chip instead of replace for a 8 GB.

Is also the currently installed memory compatiable with the brands of spare parts, HP uses something different which will cause problems?

    Cheers in advance,

    Hello

Currently she has 4 GB in a dwelling, you can add 4 GB to another location to make 8 GB:

    2 SODIMM slots DDR3L - 1600 MHz
    Support for DDR3L-1600 MHz
    Dual channel support
Maximum memory supported on-board 8096-MB system

The BEST option is to buy the same brand and features of the existing to have RAM the best of both worlds: compatible and double channel. Many after market barnds may not work with your computer. Hello

I believe that your laptop memory is DDR2, if that's the case, DDR3 won't work (or made) because they are physically different modules

This is the upgrade for you mobile recommended by Crucial

Check the memory you already have installed using CPU-Z - when it is installed, launch the application, click the SPD tab (if it shows nothing change memory slot selection in the drop-down list box) and check if your memory is displayed as DDR2.

  • Pavilion G6 memory upgrade

I'm looking to upgrade to 4 GB memory on my g6 pavilion laptop, but want of memory site to know what version of the g6, IE there are several dozen computer laptop g6-xxxx numbers of model in the list, so he can advise the best elements.

The pages of OS system information and Device Manager the list just like a g6 pavilion, and the physical label on the back of the camera is not even go that far.  It does not list the item such as a 584037-001, whatever that means.  How can I know which (the suffix xxxx g6) my g6 is in fact so I can identify the best modules of memory for an upgrade?

    Davdik10

You have a laptop HP Pavilion 2002au g6. Unfortunately you happened to choose a laptop that is not so simple to upgrade.

You will need to contact an online memory provider and ask them for help to find a guaranteed compatible 8 GB upgrade or buy the upgrade from HP.

Search for suppliers of memory online using Google or Bing and ""memory upgrade HP Pavilion g6-2002au ' as keywords. " I strongly recommend that you don't settle for anything memory compatible modules less guaranteed by well known memory manufacturers.

  • Maximum memory recognized for a Satellite Pro 4340

Read the previous posts about the extension of the maximum memory for a laptop Satellite Pro 4300 series suggests that the possible maximum memory upgrade is 320Mo composed of 64 MB on board more than two banks of 128 MB (128 128 64 = 320). I asked Toshiba in England if the SP 4300 range will recognize the PC100 256 MB memory modules, but they couldn't give me a definitive answer one way or another - just that they had tried to 128 MB with success modules. However, the specifications of the machine have been written before 256 MB modules were generally available, and so I would like to ask the following questions of the readers of the forum:

    1. someone has actually tried a bunch of 256 MB of PC100 memory in banks of memory your laptop series 4300 SP? -If so, what was the result?

    2. even if the maximum memory that can be recognized is always set to 320 MB, this could be achieved by simply using a bar of 256 MB and 64 MB on board?

    3. has anyone actually tried to put into one or two modules of 256 MB memory in the memory banks and see what happens? Are they recognized?

It is clearly an expensive experiment to try then I would hear earlier for other people who may have already explored these options rather than buying the memory myself to see what is not recognized! I'm really interested in hearing from someone who has actually tried what I mean above (and either successful or failed) not of someone who has read the specs on the Web from Toshiba site that says maximum memory is 320 MB and then a few citations that back for me.

    Hello

I found exactly the same info on the memory modules. You can use the 128 MB module with PA3005U - 1 M 12 part number.

I have gift? t understand why you want to use this module of 256 MB. If you want to have the maximum performance, don? t complicate just use tested parts and enjoy life.

  • What is the maximum amount of memory in a Pavilion P6020 - Win8 upgrade?

I can't find what the maximum amount of memory can be placed in the Pavilion P6020.

As it is necessary to do a re-install of the operating system supplied with the system (Vista), I would check if it makes sense to improve the Win8-64 bit system and increase memory to 3 GB to 4 or even better of 6 GB.

Currently, the system has 3 GB of memory (1x1GB & 1x2GB), the way in which he indulged.

This configuration really makes the relative system slow lately.

    Peter

    Hi, Peter:

There are several variations of the P6020.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/pfinder?cc=us & DLC = in & LC = on & os = 228 & sw_lang = & Tool = & query = P6020

I think they all have the same specifications which indicate the maximum memory you can install in the PC is 2 x 2 GB memory (4 GB).

Before you "sign on the dotted line," to buy Windows 8, go ahead and start the download and it will first run an Upgrade Advisor to check your PC and report incompatibilities.

Your PC is more than likely won't be supported by HP with windows 8 drivers. My main concern would be the video card, do not have drivers available.

  • HP Pavilion 15-n048: maximum memory allocation for HP Pavilion 15-n048

Does anyone can tell me what is the maximum memory loss for HP Pavilion 15-n048

Officially, 12 concerts. See the owner's manual here:

    Link repair manuals

See page 47. Pavilion 15 manuals are often a bit difficult to understand, does not mean that they are sometimes a bit misleading. Some models are configured with one or two memory locations, so the first thing I would do is to open the Bay of memory and see if there are 2 slots for sure. Your laptop came with a single module of 8 GB DDR3 - 1600, then the question is whether you have an open slot. If so, the specs say you can add a module of 4 GB of the same speed and type. Others have reported success with the addition of a module of 8 GB for a total of 16 concerts. Attention to the black blocks how are on the side of the module that you already have. 8 unlikely, what makes low density. Get the same module 8 GB or 4 GB.

    Post back with any problems.
