  No, there is no hard-coded limit. The amount of data in a cube, you can handle will depend on available resources. For example, you can build a much bigger cube on a server with lots of CPU, memory and fast disk that you can build on a smaller system. I built blocks with more than 1 billion lines effectively the good material. Care to share more details of your situation?

  You can combine up to 12 files at a time in PDF format. If you need to combine several files, combine them in lots of 12 or less to PDF and then combine these PDFs.

  On Windows 10, second gen Core i7 with 24 GB of RAM using Lightroom 6.1.1.   Trying to stack a little more than 1000 pictures.  Lightroom not responding initially, then seems to have completed the task, then according to the use of Task Manager ~ 16% (4 hyper threaded cores) CPU, 2, 3 GB of RAM not used, no hard disk activity.  This last for hours if I let is sit (watch a movie).  Out of Lightroom, it disappears and continues to consume CPU until I have killed him.  Go back to the top of Lightroom and no tails do occur.  Tried this several times.  Tested with an own catalog as well.

  Disk i/o is probably a bit more critical than the disk space that the DB generally is not larger than 10-15 concerts.

  Ability wise, your system is CPU/RAM.  Disk i/o will probably be your main bottleneck and the thing that will determine the maximum number of agents that can have on the server.

  Splitting of the DB from the HQ server would certainly help in the perspective of General load.  Definitely put the DB a system with several piles of discs (part of a San, fast raid) will help you in the disk i/o.

  If I was trying to answer the same question, I guess that I look at the Scriptures on disk on the DB as starting point, test the drive with systat/iostat or something to see what the drive is capable of in terms of read/write speeds and also look at postgres for slow queries, duration of execution of query, used memory and cpu.  Naturally, I would do the majority of "look at her" go to HQ itself :)

  Title says it all. What is the practical limit to the number of files that can contain a single folder? These would all be tiny files, usually less than 20K, I'm looking for emotional limit of Windows, rather than the clear disk space limit.

  I think that with Win7, 20,000 of handling should not be a problem.  Depending on how you access them (such as manually via file |) Open who needs time to load all files to choose among them) it will be slow, but even XP that will handle a lot, even though it may be slower.

  Any control or indicator that you create in your FPGA LV code allocates space on the Xilinx FPGA. As with all coding, FPGA, there is no way to tell a 'limit' on the space. When you add several controls and indicators, your compilation will take more time and do different things to optimize where everything is stored on your FPGA.   There is no upper limit for the extraction of the records. IF you count very well systems you can do millions and billions. I don't so much think that those millions will be retrieved, if so recovered it will give you memory.

  go to the query governor, and to restrict the DataSet to retrieve any value as millions or billions.
