MD3200 interruptions of supply current

Hello

We had a few failures with MD3200 PSU (50 units), power supplies stop working while starting or if we get the power failure, the power supply can start working, after reviewing the questions, we discovered that when you disconnect the Raid Controller, wait a few minutes the beginning of power supply to work properly.

my questions:

1. This could be a bad communication between the raid controller and power supply/fan modules? update the firmware to the latest firmware may solve this problem. ?

2. is there any procedure to circumvent the power of the controller and run the power without any control? and if it's dangerous?

Thanks in advance.

Hello Halim_younsi,

What is the current version of the firmware that you run on your MD3200? If you are running old firmware as 07.80.41.60 then I would upgrade the firmware to a new version because there are a few updates that was connected to the power.

As for your second question, I'm not aware anyway to bypass the controller the controller must control the fans to cool down the unit.  The system fans are part of power supply and if you go around then you might cause a thermal event or something else.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.

  • AlienWare x 51 R2 - computer doesn't power supply current

So I got my AlienWare X 51 R2 for 1 year and about 20 days. It's barely out of warranty... I came home 2 days ago to find it was off, but there was a very low light on my power button, no other lights. I tried to turn on and the computer (Yes, fan and light included) enabled for everything as long as it took for me to release the power button. I've tried everything. I don't know yet if it is the right place to post this but I hope. I tried my surge protector to jump and goes directly into my outlet, using another outlet in another room, unplugging everything and hold the power button to get rid of all of rest, power everything. My adapter, I call it a brick, has its power switch on, but my computer has only the power dim light. The light at the back which lights up blue, if it has power only when I turn it on for a split second when I try to turn it on. My computer has a virus and has been completely analyzed nightly at 02:00 by Microsoft Security Essentials. I played games like Guild Wars 2, World of Warcraft, StarCraft 2, and ArcheAge. ArcheAge was the last and only game I played for about 2 months before he died. The computer was great, never overheated and ran easily all my games without problem. I am at a total loss. It was also no lightning because we did not have any all week. All possible suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

UPDATE: because my diet shows that it is powered with the Green LED lights up, I think it's something to do with my computer receives the current. When I got my computer, I heard something fall, around a screw maybe? I don't mean inside my computer for any problem, but any help would be great! I think that my diet is very good, but somewhere in the connection to the computer, this is what is wrong. :[

You can test the supply system (products inside the machine) with a $20 Digital power supply tester. If it fails, it is likely that the adapter sector or "Power Board" (Council of DC - DC Converter).

Not sure of your skill level, but it sounds like you will probably with the help of a qualified computer technician. Real problem could be any number of things at this point... including the motherboard.

  • NAS200 after power supply current

    Hi all

could you please confirm this behavior after a power failure:

-the Sin starts normally and for a few seconds I can access via the web. But if I try to force the closure, he answers me back is not possible due to the scandisk is underway

-After 2 minutes, where the green light turned on I see the two light of the two bays which lie on. The problem is that the I only have one disc inserted into the SIN!

-the system is not accessible. I read the manual it is normal when the sin is the scandisk. But it is not clear to me it does, because flashing power/ebaydisk1 noither.

    Any suggestion?

When the NAS200 sees that the disks were not closed properly, he made a blink of LEDs from disk at startup for you know that it is the cleaning of discs; they stop flashing when the cleaning operation is complete. If I understand correctly, this is not what you see: you see two disk lights on.

Normally you should never see both lights of disc on if only one drive is installed. Try unplugging the power supply and then restarting him. Maybe it was just a small problem and it runs very well this time.

If it's the same thing when restart you with the installed drive, try running it without disc and see if the lights are still to come. Both hard drive lights should turn off if no drive is installed. If they remain, you may have a hardware problem that causes the software hang (or perhaps to trigger a kernel panic).

If it starts fine without the disc, but both lights keep coming with a disc, there may be a problem that can be fixed by connecting the drive to a PC and booting with a CD of SystemRescueCD. You may need to ask someone who knows Linux to help you with that.

On my Toshiba Satellite laptop mouse (touchpad) is inactive when the power is connected, but only works on battery!
The battery usually takes place during this period, but we can't use the mouse!

    How to solve this problem?

Out of curiosity, but what model of laptop do you have?
Are you using the original pre-installed OS that you got with your laptop?

You can toggle touchpad by using the FN + F9 key combination?

  • Background noise when connected to the power supply current

I recently bought a laptop series Equium A100 and am generally very happy with it however I noticed that there is sometimes a background noise through the speakers (crackles and whistles) - this happens only when the AC adapter is connected does not when running off the battery voltage. The noise is present in the onboard speakers and if connected headphones/external speakers. It's definitely coming through the speakers/headphones not the mechanical parts of the laptop or the battery itself.

I see that others have had a similar problem also but no solution seemed to be posted. I was wondering if someone has solved this problem yet?

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

It's very strange. I have the Satellite A100 (Vista laptop) and I don't have this problem. Satellite and A100 are portable similar and there is not much difference.

Your laptop comes with Windows XP Home or Vista edition? Have you tried to update BIOS. It's a really stupid question and I think that whistle is quite annoying for you.

Have you also tried to contact service? What they say about this?

    To start the line

    Selected: 0 to 6840575 scale 6197758 SR 44100

is not a very good idea, because you try to select beyond the end of the file on which you operate. If you select 6197758 in the scale of 0 to 6197785 SR 44100, then you will select the entire file. But then again, if you have selected 0 to 1 scale 1 SR44100 you reach exactly the same thing.

If you are using this as a part of a batch file and backups do not work properly, you'll probably need to check all the parameters of format in the treatment by lots - but try to fix the script so that it seem weird first.

  • Non-linear voltage with current variance

[10/07/2014 edited by moderator as requested]

I'm trying to measure the design resistance of the voltage across my test using NI9205 sample. I have a power supply current constant and 30 cm of wire across copper as connectors to my example. I'm exploring various levels from 20 to 500 my.

However, the resistance or voltage/current ratio do not seem to be constant on current values. Current increase seem to increase the resistance of .01ohms.

I change the lines in my daq between 200-1-5 a 10 V.(+-) of heat due to the current, and changes in the sample of it are not a factor. Is that an offset voltage when changin ranges that affects it? I use the daq with no custom scale Wizard. I do, however, collect samples from 1000 to 1000 Hz and their average.

Tried to use 4 wire measures?

0.01 ohm in 30cm copper wire... seems reasonable...

so: two sons for the current and two sons for the measurement of voltage (differential).  Guess the image below that is screwed is current and voltage

  • Where can I buy an original Xbox 360 slim power supply

I got a new xbox 360 slim power brick came from damage, very hot, the fan does not turn on and the xbox turns off.  Where can I buy a new power supply for Xbox 360 slim?

    Hello

You will probably want a replacement. I would have you contact Xbox 360 support and ask for a replacement.

If you want to buy a new Xbox slim 360 power supply current, no doubt, you can visit Microsoft store and order a.

Except that it is impossible to find one on the Microsoft Store website. A search sorted by relevance shows several pages of results, but stops to those connected Xbox without a power supply, appearing never to return.

So where/how in fact buy a replacement power supply, please?

    Hello

This info you have posted has been extremely useful. I contacted the: contact Xbox 360 support as described above and crossed the shoots of boredom to verify that it is indeed, the power supply cord. Then, I could order one for about $35.00 with shipping and taxes, (since the site checked that our original warranty had already expired).

    Thank you :-)

    I need help...

    Hello

Hey man what are you doing? It is logical that installation operating system should not be interrupted and the laptop must be connected to the power supply current.
    What can you do now?

Only one way to install OS now is to use the installation discs.

You created those discs on your own?
Try please start the installation using the disc 1.
Do you know how to do this?

  • My Satellite A series PC laptop does not light

I just bought a new machine and got it home, plugged in, and it won't turn.

    I don't think I've missed something.
Battery light flashes orange and there is a white light to the shower entrance.

    Any ideas out there?
I hope someone can tell me that it takes a full load... but he said nothing about it in the documentation.

    Thank you

    Akuma is right.
When you plug in adapter, then the battery leave for awhile and then try to restart the laptop.

Please note: first portable computer startup must be connected to the power supply current while OS will be installed. This first installation must not be interrupted. It is very important and be careful with that.

  • Satellite L40 - 1.90 bios update has no effect on the reboot of Vista except

    Hello

We have a laptop L40 and very happy with it. There BIOS 1.60 and I want to update to 1.90. 32 - Vista Home Basic has been installed by default. He now has SP1.

When I unzip the package and run the bat file (that start with binary winflash), the 'dos' window opens and stays there for a while. Nothing happens and then the window closes and the system is restarted.

When I run just winflash, nothing happens. There is no dialogue or any other message.

    How is - a is updating the bios on the L40 - 14Y (PSL48E)?

    THX!

    DickS

    Hello

I'm really surprised, why you start the file beats if there is no exe file. Unzip all of the files on the desktop to the laptop and open the winflash.exe file, follow the instructions on the screen.
Make sure that the laptop is connected to the power supply current and NOT to interrupt by running the update of the BIOS.

  • Resync ASM disk in 12 c

    Hello

Please can someone tell what is the difference between ASM resynchronization and consolidation of disk drive?

Are they different? If so, what is re-synchronization happens and when to rebalance?

    Thank you

Fast ASM disk Resync is used to recovery failure a failure to make temporarily unavailable group is considered transient failures.

As the disconnection of the cable, controller failures or interruptions of supply disk or host bus adapter current.

You just put a time (duration) where ASM Diskgroup will be to track all the changes up to recover this failure. If records are retrieved using the last State when, down disc Resync then update all the blocks on the disk recovered from survive failgroup.

If drive failure is not picked up within the window of time, records are automatically removed from the diskgroup.

The process of adding these drive broke diskgroup start the rebalancing process.

Resynchronization occurs when updating the out-of-sync disk track.

Rebalancing occurs when data are not balanced or when to add new disc on diskgroup.

  • Satellite A300 restarts randomly when it is plugged in power chords

I know it has been on many topics and forums before but-

Satellite A300 Toshiba registered repairman after only another technician claimed the question was the motherboard.

So a new hard drive had to be replaced (it was old age) by registered repairer.

Graphics card died - map is part of the motherboard = motherboard replaced.

Supposed to win - phone to make sure everything is well = "there still the issue."

QUESTION = RANDOM COMPUTER RESTARTS WHEN THE POWER CORD IS PLUGGED

Don't forget not that the shop has been informed of the initial question
    1. phone call.
    2. by myself (wife) when I dropped the camera repair
    3. in the drop by my husband via phone
    4. by myself at diagnosis
5 once again by my man when diagnostics
    6. by my man when he discussed the hard drive with 2 people at the store options
    7. after replacing hard drive
    8. by myself when new montherboard was "mandatory".
    9. my man at the same point

So you can imagine today is both 10th, 11th and 12th, the store has been said that they do not listen

I got to say REGISTERED REPAIRER WHAT TOSHIBA to TROUBLE THE PROBLEM!

    NOW for my NEXT question.

On all THE forums I have read about it, I always come back to the same answer - replace NEC/CATHERINE Proadlizer

However, in looking at the published images and instructions I now get the image that this is part of the motherboard also. This is why I wonder how actually to our brand new motherboard installed days ago!

If the capacitor is part of the motherboard I think which was replaced why this question is STILL being implemented?

If not where is it located?

At our graphics card on the old Board REALLY dead?
Or was this like the last technician and as demonstrated - surprisingly not listening?

All related information (and directions to give the tech) would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

I'm really sorry to hear that you have such problems after Exchange of motherboard and I really don't understand why service is not properly check and test the features of the laptop.
To discuss these issues is quite complicated because we can only speculate what may be the problem and no one can say with certainty why this happens.

In my opinion all you can do is to do some tests and try to do a rational conclusion, but in the end service should solve the problem.

Just a few questions about described:
Everything is OK is when you use the power supply battery?
How it works with power supply current when the battery is removed?
Start the machine and enter the BIOS settings. Leave it for a while and check if computer laptop turns off again?
What operating system do you use? Are you using the original OS that you got with the A300 or clean install of the OS?

  • New Satellite Pro L670 - 14 M turns on if the charger is plugged?

    Hi all

New to the forum so grateful for any help on this matter.

I bought a brand new laptop Satellite Pro L670 - 14 M last week. Now it works fine up until today. The last time that I used it while just running the battery was Monday night. I was working on the laptop, send email etc. today, and I decided to change rooms. For some reason, I still have to discover that I disconnected the charger from the wall (instead of simply unplug the charger from the laptop) so that it was plugged into the laptop and the laptop just turned off much to my shock. It was sparking that I saw the decision-making that I removed the CAP, but now the laptop lights not unless supply current is connected. If I unplug the charger, the computer does not illuminate.

Now, my first thought is I (crossed beams) killed the battery, but the strange thing is, when the laptop is plugged in and turned on and I'm on my screen and I click on the battery icon in the taskbar it States 94% available (plugged in, load)

While I wait for some answers I hope I shut down the laptop and leave the charger plugged in to see if the battery has loaded more than 94%

    Hello

I think that the BIOS update would be worth a try in your case. Take a look at the Toshiba driver download page:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp

But before you start the update: make sure that you are logged on as administrator and close all running programs. Unzip all files from zip archive first.
After update successful BIOS load default settings in the BIOS.

Are you using the original Toshiba battery and AC adapter or they are 3rd parties gone?
