  You don't give any info on what was the original problem with the computer.

  You have set the Bios Setup to boot from the CD/DVD drive?

  At startup, it will say press F2 or delete key to go into Bios/Setup, or maybe F12 to go to the Start Menu.

  And have you tried also to tap F8 at startup and choose Safe Mode from the list of Boot Options?

  Use up arrow key to do this, press on enter.

  Browse your Hard Drive manufacturer's website, download software from here and test your hard drive for errors.

• Im trying to install the Nvidia drivers for my new video card and its saying that my operating system (windows vista 64-bit) is not compatible, which means they are 32-bit drivers, it's fake.

  What version of Vista are you using?  You have the Fax Vista and the scan function activated (if available in your version)?  If so, try turning it off to see if that causes some kind of conflict with the HP software attempts to essentially do the same thing (or disable HP software and try to use the Vista software insttead if it is an option).

  The truth is, you need to obtain assistance from HP about this problem.

  This a Yes/No/maybe answer.  Most of the software, games included, works with vista, and has very few questions, as appropriate.   However, some are not entirely compatible.  To check if your games is comapatible with Vista please visit the compatibility web site:

  If the game is he listed as compatible, you're all set.  If it is listed as not compatible, you will either need to contact the manufacturer of the game for all possible patches or it will be inconsistent and you will not be able to play at all.  If the game is not listed either, then it simply means that he hsaa was not tested yet and it could very well be compatible.  In this case, I would try to install / them and see if it works.  Alternatively, you can try to run the exeutable for the game in one of the compatibility modes listed in the properties of the executable file of the game.
