  You can have as many channels of the same type (in this case of analog input) in a task.  If your simple solution would be to have four channels in your task.  You also need to set your Read DAQmx for multiple channels.

  I just got a new NI DAQ, compact and am currently trying to get LabVIEW to read from multiple channels on this subject.

  In short, I have an input for thermocouple and a current input on my Board and I want to do is read from multiple channels on each module. However what I would like is for the display of the user to be updated in real time of these readings, then that I only want to open a session (or write to the file) all values at a rate of once per second.

  at the moment I can do either both in 1 second (which makes the clunky and slow user interface) or I can do both very quick which makes the nice user interface, but the journal file massive.

  Also I have questions about access to data acquisition channels and whether I need a producer consumer loop if I am only wanting to log every second.

  First data acquisition:

  To access my strings, I used the virtual channel NI DAQmx create VI and wired the necessary things. Now it works, but I wonder now, how can I change this option to apply some scales to each channel individually. I have 5 pressure sensors with slightly different min and max outputs (data calibration). I thought I could do this by specifying a project task, but it gives errors saying that I have duplicate layers or something. Essentially, each channel has its own custom scale.

  Producer/consumer

  Do I need to bother with a producer consumer? I thought it is a pretty nice way to ask things, especially with a queue, but really if I connect 1 times per second, the queue will never really have more than 1 thing in there. In addition, I find myself with an array of pressure measurements and an array of measure of temperature against time and queue wants a string input. So it don't work anyway.

  Is it possible to put a slower loop inside a quick loop to check?

  I use the PXI-7350 controller and MID-7604 drive to run a motor drive.  I would like to be able to measure the motor current while moving the engines.  This measurement is possible?  If so, what commands are required to read the motor current?

  the 7604 can limit the current to a value that is selectable by the user and you can activate the current reduction if the axis is stopped, but there is no way to read the current engine. If you want to measure the motor current, you must do it with an external device, but due to the current chopping and multiphase, motor control stepper motors is not a trivial task. Micro step mode the current phase looks like a rough sinus with lots of harmonics signal, so you will need to do a true measure requiring RMS of expensive measurement equipment.

  Anyway. If you need to know the temperature of the motor you should better measure the temperature directly. The most inexpensive device OR do is the NI USB-TC01, but there are many other options available.

  I'm using LabVIEW 8.6/DAQmx with a DAQ card 6225 of series M, connected to a terminal block of CB_68LPR.  I want to measure the temperature of a thermistor.

  First of all, I connect the two wires of the thermistor to AI6 (J25) and HAVE GND (J24) because I assigned AI0 to Ai5 to six voltage signals.

  When I tried the example of temperature measurement, if I set up the channel as "2-Wire thermistor Iex" ai6 and choose the internal excitation source, I got the error message "measurements: device to which is attached the sensor was not a source of excitation internal avaible. But the requirement for this example indicates that the PXI-6225 can run the example. So here are my questions: is not my connection reflectometers to the terminal block? Which device should provide the excitation source, the map DAQ or other Terminal, if I really want to choose internal source?

  Then I tried to use DAQ Assistant to configure the channel as "Vex 2-Wire thermistor" ai6, I received the error message "measurements: configuration 2 son resistance is not compatible with the excitement of tension", no matter if I choose 'Internal' or external"source of excitement." But in general configuration 2 son is good for thermistor. So my thermistor is not the type thermistor Vex? So, what type of thermistor is Vex thermistor? The technical details of my probe says nothing if it is Vex or type Iex.

  PCI-6225 doesnot have an internal excitation source, but you can use one of the AO as an excitation lines if you have not the external voltage source, in this case, you should always configure your task as external excitation and measures four sons and in the program, you can take care of task AO where you can specify what exciatation you need. The measure of two sons is not supported in Vex-thermistor task. The connection diagram is shown in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) in your task DAQmx.

  Another possibility is to you can measure the resistance of the thermistor and map it to the temperature at two scales, but you will still need to have the excitement of current external OR-6225 has not built in power source, which is what he does in the task of Iex-thermistor.

  We discovered that the problem came from our wiring to thermistor does NOT of installation. If Differencial has been used, the conversion of MAX worked well. If this is not the case, only directly blood pressure will work.  Bryan

  Assuming that the DAQ cards can handle it, you can set an analog trigger for the channel of the tension.  Then you just X samples to get your 100us data value.  Keep the last sample.
