Media center and netflix script errors
I have windows 8 pro 64-bit. When you try to play a movie in netflix, I get a script error. http://cdn1.nflxext.com/FilePackageGetter/sharedSystem/pkg-pages/player/wiplayer-a03fc0a08c000004a00000000100000000000000000208000000000000000 with another error. Any ideas?
I am able to watch netflix with the netflix app that I downloaded from the windows store. I am also able to watch if I go to the website of netflix with google chrome. If I try to watch netflix on internet explore, he told me that I have to download silverlight. I had disabled extensions so I activated silverlight and can view netflix in Solution Explorer. I always get the error in windows media center. I have all the windows updates. I have Zone Alarm as a firewall and silverlight is approved.
I am running Windows 7-64 bit. I have set up my Media Center and the folder where are all my songs. Then, I used the Media Center Extender to connect to my xbox. I went on the xbox and liked my music through my sound system.
Now, when I try to listen to my music on my computer Media Center or WMP 12, I get the following errors:
Media Center: the file you are trying to play (insert file path) is either corrupted missing or in a place that is currently not available
WMP12: Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The player might not support the file type or does not support the codec used to compress the file.
I can play my music on my PC with the help of another player as my Rhapsody Player. It seems to me that Media Center and WMP 12 does not like to play my .mp3
I'm leaning towards a problem with a codec, but how you updated codecs on WMP 12 and Media Center?
Or everyone does not think that there is another type of problem?
Good people. I figured this out, and I hope this will help some of you. I have his next card: Creative Labs Audigy 2 ZS
I went to control panel > Sound > playback > speakers
I went to the Advanced Settings tab and unchecked Audio enhancements allow
WMP12 restarted, a popup told me that there was an error with a plugin and disabled the plugin, and soon I was dancing on top of my desk.
I found the information at the bottom of this thread:

I am including instructions below a scan to help repair the system files related to some components of Windows, including Windows Media Center, and Windows Media Player.
Repair Windows Vista Media Center files
You can use the following steps to repair files that are part of Windows Vista Media Center:
1. click on the Start menu, choose all programs, then Accessories, then right-click on the item to the command prompt and select run as administrator
2. click on continue to allow it to open a prompt with administrator privileges
3. run this command in the cmd prompt: sfc/scannow
4. the cmd prompt should list text stating "start system analysis. This process will take time. »
5. wait for the scan to complete (this may take several minutes, so be patient). This command will scan all protected system files and attempt to replace the incorrect versions by appropriate Microsoft versions
6. once the analysis is complete, the SFC tool will indicate whether or not it found no problems and whether or not he was able to correct
7. If any errors are reported that SFC could not resolve, there are steps in this knowledge base article which explain how to locate and attempt to correct errors
8. after fixing errors that are found, try to use Windows Vista Media Center again.
Fix Windows Vista Media Center registry entries
Unfortunately, there is no easy way to fix key/registry values that are installed by Windows Vista, as there are files. If you want to try to repair the registry values/keys that are part of Windows Vista Media Center, you will need to re-run the installer of Windows Vista operating system and repair the operating system.

Media Center will not sync music!
I recently opened Media Center and I had no music in the library. I have constantly played music from the library so I didn't know what is happening. When I try installing the library again once it tells me that a necessary component for Windows Media Center is not available. I have not changed or downloaded something different. I went to check if Windows media Player is the multimedia file sharing. The message I get from that is, basically, that something is missing. Now my Windows Media Player is not even opened. I wonder if my Zune Player (80 GB) has nothing to do with the problem. I charge my player when this has happened, but I do this all the time so I am at a loss. I went to the page "problem reports and Solution." It is the symbol of the Media Center window and says that the problem is caused by Windows. The solution is to update to windows; which I am fully updated. I tried to restore the system to an earlier date, but that doesn't work anymore. I'm at a loss to know what being of any help would be appreciated.
As a side note video playback, TV and photos also works very well in Media Center.
Thank you, Shay
You can try the following steps and check the result:
Step 1: Run the sfc scan to repair system files missing and corrupt.
a. Click Start, click programs, accessories principally made, right click Guest and then click Run as administrator.
If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.
b. type the following command and press ENTER: sfc/scannow
The sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.
For more information, visit this link:http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833
If the problem persists, try the reconstruction of the library:
Step 2: Library rebuild Windows media player.
This problem can also occur if the library is corrupted. Rebuild the library and check if this solves the problem.
Follow these steps:
1. exit Windows Media Player.
2. click on start, run, type %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Media Player, and then click OK.
3. Select all the files in the folder and then click on Delete on the file menu.
Note: You don't have to remove the folders that are in this folder.
4. restart Windows Media Player.
Note: Windows Media Player automatically rebuilds the database.
If this does not resolve the problem, disable the Windows Media Player database cache files. To do this, follow these steps:
1. exit Windows Media Player.
2. click on start, run, type % LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft, and then click OK.
3. Select the Media Player folder, and then click on Delete on the file menu.
4. restart Windows Media Player.

I installed an ATI TV Wonder 600 PCI card in Vista Home Prem 32-bit edition. I installed the latest 01/10 ATI drivers. While setting up Windows Media Center, said the card is not supported in this area (Canada). It's funny, I bought it in Vancouver. I ran the configuration by ATI Catalyst TV program and it worked. I went back into the Media Center and he accepted the Canada as a regional parameter is valid. Media Center worked for 2 days, buy yesterday I went to watch TV and could not find my TV tuner card. Restarted my computer (cold start) and he finds the TV card but I had to re-run the installation program, I don't know why. Now, it is said the Canada is not a region supported by this map. It works in catalyst program (terrible picture and sound) and it works in Nero Live. Why not in Media Center (the best quality of image and sound)? My regional settings are set to Canada, what is happening?
What is a hybrid tuner, and if so, you are trying to configure it to ATSC (digital terrestrial) or QAM (unencrypted digital cable)? Unfortunately, Windows Media Center does not support ATSC or QAM tuning to the Canada. This isn't as far as I know, for technical reasons, which is why the tuner can work in the third-party software, but not Microsoft.
You're not entirely out of luck. I suggest you read the Peter's blog about thegreenbutton.com. Peter wrote at length on this subject, and you are likely to find help with your tuner here too: http://thegreenbutton.com/blogs/pnear/archive/2006/11/22/202706.aspx
Original title: why Windows Media Center does not detect my DVD?
I built my computer motherboard ASUS P658D, Intel i7 processor clocked at 2.6 gHz, 12 GB RAM, 750W Corsair PWR. power, Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit & ie9. When I put or the other two DVDs in one of two DVD players, Windows Media Center appears and when I click on "Play DVD" Media Center give me a window that says:
"Windows Media Center cannot detect a DVD in the DVD - ROM drive. Insert a video DVD in the drive." Two DVDs, I've tried are educational for DVD
my Nikon D300 Digital camera and a family video DVD or both these very well play in a bed of same computer running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, & ie8.
I tried Microsoft Fixit, no help. I tried to send Microsoft Support, and I got NO HELP. I did not bring any changes, and installed any program, just
scoured the internet. A DVD player is a Sony Optarc with Microsoft Driver, the other is ASUS. I also tried to use Windows Media Player but nothing
rises or it returns me to Windows Media Center and it does not detect to play either of my DVD. How can I get help here, or from Microsoft? Thank you.
No, there is no yellow warning in Device Manager and the device manager says that two DVD players work properly. Mr. Fix it's
automated download from microsoft that is supposed to automatically fix some problems, but he provided no help here. I think it is more likely
that there is a problem with Windows Media Center or Windows 7 Pro 64 bit and either of my two new Sony DVD drives
I thought my way in a solution. My thought was: Device Manager indicates DVD players work properly and both are new and we're Sony, and the other ASUS so I think only an unlikely problem with readers. The problem is with Windows Media Center "do DETECTED is not the DVD. So there must be a problem with Windows Media Center. I thought that I might need to reinstall Windows 7... then I thought that maybe if I just reinstall Windows Media that will work. He did. My problem was:
Start > Panel > programs and features > features on or off Windows activate > then uncheck the box for multimedia functions > restart the computer > and then re-check the box to restore the multimedia features > now both discs play both DVDs, I tried. Both disks are operating normally. Reinstall the characteristics of media Windows 7 resolved the problem. Thanks to all who offered solutions.
I downloaded the software you need to watch your netflix on Windows Media Center. Once I'm inside the Windows Media Center, I click on Netflix, my user name and password for netflix pops up, then I think that enter to go... I get an error message that says "Please update the computer clock you and or update your timezone. '. Both are already up to date, but I get this error message.
Check your time zone. If all goes well, then it's a question with netflix. You can contact the support of netflix.
Alternatively, you can try to reset your information newspaper: -.
Separated from this thread.
The installation is successful, in my case; However, when I try to use the function search I get an error message 'No internet connection' and close the search window.
As this solution is supposed to be a local, I am at a loss as to what is happening. Streaming movies works btw, so I don't have an Internet connection available and functional.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!
Edit: I have Media Center running on Windows 8 Pro.
I appreciate if you could help us with more information.
You can use search Netflix when you connect using a web browser?
Is the Windows Media Center works correctly and can access the Internet other than with Netflix?
If the problem is with Netflix Media Center User Interface, it is supported by Netflix.

When you try to set up my Tv Tuner in Windows Media Center, I get this error message: "TV Setup has encountered a serious problem. Click Finish to exit, and then try again. If this problem persists, restart Windows Media Center or the computer. »
I have a HP m8034n pc with a tuner Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1600 NTSC/ATSC Combo. The pc came with Vista and Windows media center worked great just with the tv tuner. I upgraded to Windows 7, December 2 and fail to put in place my tv with WMC tuner. The recorded shows that I had before the upgrade to Windows 7 appear and play without problem in WMC. I used the hardware diagnostic tool that is installed on my pc to control the Tuner, and during the test, I can see fine TV stations. This unit is compatible according to microsoft Windows 7. I have the latest driver and tried to uninstall and reinstall. I ran Windows Update and everything is up-to-date. After that WMC checks tuners, it says:
WMC has discovered the following:
Analog cable (1 Tuner)
Other tuners or TV signals were detected but will not be configured.
Is this Setup correct and complete?
o Yes, configure TV with these results
o no, show more options
When I click on show details, it is said:
No TV Signal
If a TV signal should be present, check your signal for following tuners connections and try again:
Hauppauge WinTV 418 BDA Tuner
There is another question, because he does not list my correct tv tuner. I click, so I'm now on A screen again.
When I click Yes, set up TV with these results,-(for the analog option Cable(1 tuner), I select my cable service is, and then click Next.) It then displays a confirmation of analog cable and my cable provider, I click Next again and the error message "installation TV met with a serious problem. Click Finish to exit, and then try again. If this problem persists, restart Windows Media Center or the computer. "appears.
I even tried to set up the signal manually and on the confirmation screen, I click Next, and get the exact same error.
I would really appreciate any help and if more details are required, please let me know. Thank you!
I don't know what happened, I left my PC off overnight and planned reformatting today. But I decided to give him another chance. Instead of saying the tuner was not available. He showed me a static snow image strong, as he was trying to use my Analogue tuner. In fact, it is supposed to use the composite input for my cable box. I re set my TV signals, and now everything works well again. Its strange because I reboot half a dozen times last night and it's never worked. Leaving the PC turned off for the night must have done the trick, I guess.
I started having errors on my Qosmio G20 ehExtHost.exe when pass the screen of Media Center edition to record a television show.
Language Runtime Debugging current Service ID = 0x17d4 (6100) and id = 0 x 138 (312)
I have a glance on the web and found a few comments about Norton screwing of the NETWORK settings, I've just updated Norton Internet Security 2009 version so it's possible.
I have also a message with something not being able to connect to Windows Messenger so don't know why it would.
I recorded a program and it's OK when I played it back.
Anyone has any ideas how to solve this problem (or problems)?
Googling around you can find so many reports about this. I also found an interesting article on this subject. Please check it out. Maybe it will help you to solve this problem.

The "Startup Type" value in the manual. not automatic. This fixed my issue.
