Media Player does not burn audio discs
When I try to burn an audio disc, I get a message saying that Windows has a problem (unspecified). This does not happen if I burn a data disc.
I have Windows Vista (Service Pack 2 installed recently). Following the advice I reinstalled the drivers from the chipset (laptop Advent 6311). This does not solve the problem. What should I do?
Hello
You can try to disable and enable the Media Player Control Panel.
Steps to disable Media Player.
(a) click the Start button, select Control Panel, click programs and then click turn on turn Windows features on or off. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
(b) to develop media features and uncheck the box next to Windows Media player. Click on ok and wait a few minutes to complete. Once this is done, restart the computer.

Media Player was working fine until recently. Now when I hit the button "Start burn" the burn starts momentarily, the time of the audio files is displayed, but when I insert the CD in the drive, it reads 'CD error' and there is no sound. I recently installed a new security package (Webroot) but none of my other software has been affected. Tab of computability, I noticed that it is set to windows 95 (I have windows 7), but the program does not allow me to change it. I checked for driver updates, but the computer says that all drivers are current and the device works correctly. any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Media Player does not play audio properly during playback of video file.
I have Windows XP and made a few videos using Adope Prime sofdtware. When I play them back on the Media Play it starts OK (both video and audio) and then the sound stops, but the video continues until the end I tried to reduce the audio file by lowering the quality, but it did not help. This could be the cause to happen?
Download and install the audio codec: -.

My windows media player does not automatically recognize when a disc is placed in the disc drive. I have to put the disc in the disc drive, and then close windows media player, with the disc in the disc drive already, then re-open windows media player. Reopened WMP with the disc in the disc drive, it recognizes the disc in the drive. It then functions well until I need to change the disk at this time I have to start the reboot stop of WMP. This problem has not allways exists just started a few months ago. Thanks for any helpful information.

Windows Media Player does not recognize the new downloaded songs
I have a Pavilion a4310f Prod Nr: race AY014AA-ABA, Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
I just found out that Windows Media Player does not recognize the songs, I recently downloaded from Wal-Mart music download Site. The songs can be seen in the music library in a folder called 'Downloads' and I can open each song and he will play when double-clicked. The problem is that I can't create a playlist containing the new songs and burn a copy of the reading list, because the songs are not listed in the Media Library Player any hot it is sorted (artist, Album, Genre, etc.).
Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
MitchProblem solved!
Went to: start == > Control Panel == > troubleshooting == > view all == > and ran troubleshooting on the library and the settings of WMP.
Convenience store detected library corrupt and "in media files appear in the WMP library. Then ran convenience store on WMP settings which reset OMP to default settings. After that, everything worked as announced.
Thanks to Big_Dave for putting me on the right track.

After you enter the PN, click Next, then choose the software & Drivers. On the next page use the menu drop down to select your (probably Windows 7 64-bit) operating system. A list will fill with the drivers. Download & save the last Audio driver.
