Memory card Tester

I was wondering if anyone knows of any applications to test the installed SD card read/write speed? I can test it on my computer, but I'd like to test it on my phone. I know that the app is there, I can't find it. It would be useful to compare my class 6 Transcend 8 GB Micro SDHC card Flash model TS8GUSDHC6

The reason is that I notice the video is very choppy when I move the camera or if there is ongoing action. I know it is recommended to use a Class 10 card with the HD videos (and probably reg videos) on cameras and camcorders... I know that the class 6 is a 6 MB/s and class 10 is 10 MB/sec minimum.

I wonder if the choppy video is the result of trolling of phone or card SD writes not fast enough.

Thank you in advance.

Hey Ingram, I just did a quick search for you, and I came across this site. http://www.AndroidPIT.com/en/Android/market/apps/app/Br.com.fast4ward.sdcardspeedtester/SD-card-Spee...

  • Memory card SD in 5200-902

    Hello

My 5200-902 does not recognize the SD card.
The SD memory card reader is recognized by the computer, but not the map. The problem occurs in 2 steps,
the first step: the computer makes kling klong when I insert the card, but he was not recognized or is indicated as reader in the eyxplorer.
step 2: after restarting the computer, there is no kling klong longer when the card is put.
And the map is not displayed in windows Explorer.

Only for a very short time, the green light is on when the card is updated.

Until today the card works properly on this computer.
I used a different card with the same negative results.

All the solutions for me or proposals for tests?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

Have you removed the SD card safely?
Usually, if the SD card has been used the small icon should appear in the taskbar with the message: remove the drive safely.
If you n t use this option and put the card without removing the card safely for the card or the slot can have a default.
I recommend you remove the controller from SD card from the Device Manager, and after restarting again try to reinstall the drive

  • SD - Satellite A100 memory card compatibility

I have a built in my Satellite A100 standard memory card reader. But will he be able to work with faster memory cards? For example, it will read Ultra2 SD 2 GB memory card 60 X or is it only able to read maps SD old and slow?

    Hi sikl

I didn t find any info about it and according to the specifications of laptop A100 can handle with SD cards 8 MB - 2 GB of capacity, but there is no word on ultra2 SD cards. Of course, you're the first person who asks this question. If you successfully test it please let us know.

  • Envy TouchSmart 17 t-j000 Quad Memory Card Reader

My Quad TouchSmart Envy 17 t-j000 memory card reader does not work.  Laptop is only around the age of six months and I tried a memory stick for the first time yesterday, and nothing happened.  The memory stick works fine in another computer.  When I plug the memory stick, there is no windows autorun and it is not listed in the window of this PC.  In Device Manager, I don't see the card reader USB controllers and hard drives.  I see not listed in Device Manager in a Realtek PCIE card reader memory technology devices.  It is activated and the latest driver.  I tried to stop, unplugged the power cord, removed the battery, reverse the procedure and restart the laptop with the memory stick installed, still nothing.  This desire came with Windows 8, and I've updated to 8.1.  In addition, all four USB ports work.  System diagnostic test has been carried out and everything.  Should I try to uninstall and reinstall the Realtek PCIE card reader?  Thanks to all who can help?

  • Pavilion a6120n: USB ports and slots memory card does not

My Pavilion a6120n desktop computer has worked brilliantly since I bought it. Since last week the 2 front usb ports and 2 unused usb ports in the back have stopped working. My printer is plugged into a rear port and my wireless mouse is plugged into a second rear port and these work very well.

I use usually a USB key for the exchange of data or card reader locations (which have also stopped working). I no longer see memory card icons in the window 'computer '. When install something again the "new hardware found" statement appears, but the driver install always fails. I think it's a software problem, but there is no usb drivers to download on the HP/support site that I can find... so...

Here's what I've tried so far.

Run antivirus software. Full scan & scan memory - no problem

Don't scan complete malewarebytes - no problem

I tried to reboot several times without success.

Catering to several previous = failure restore points

Computer restart in repair = failure mode

Use the repair disk I did = failure

Control the management of the power supply for each usb port see if power was properly routed = ok

Removed the cover of the housing and carefully inspected the cables and connectors.

Finally I tried to uninstall the drivers usb = failure

After restarting the computer the last time that the boot file has failed, and after several hours of attempting a repair, I had to reinstall Windows 7 completely.

Still no usb or memory card function.

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thank you

OK, after a lot of frustration and a reflection to when the problem started. I discovered it all started when I installed my new HP Envy 4500 printer all-in-one. It has wireless capabilities, but I installed it via a usb cable.  I just didn't know it would be the problem but I started with this premise.

I got all components usb of the computer (except the mouse at the moment). So I uninstalled all the usb drivers I had on Device Manager.

After restart, drivers loaded automatically and everything works fine now. I see my camera via the connection cable, the work now in sd slots and all the work of the usb.

I left the 4500 want connected and installed the printer with the network provided on the installation disc software. I test printed from my computer and iPod so far, and it still works properly.

I did have to reinstall Vista. Could it have been a glitch in the installation of the software want to through the usb cable? Don't know and don't care at this point. Just happy that everything works.

Thanks for the comments, and I consider this problem to be solved.

  • Lost all my images on the memory card

I just bought an A2300 and he took on a week hiking trip in Colorado.  At the end of the trip, I took the memory card from the camera and gave it to one of the other backpackers to load my images on his Mac.   He said he saw half a dozen on the map on the .jpg files, but couldn't open them.  When he gave me the card back and I put it in the camera, the card was empty!  I had more than 100 photos on this card when I handed to him.  Now I have nothing.  Any ideas on what happened to all the files and what I can do to recover all the images?

There are several threads on this topicalready & many lists some software free links interesting to try BUT here is the link to a very good program that you can test drive to see if the images are there & recoverable before you pay for it. IF she finds them you know at least they exist & that you have the choice between either pay for licensed software or try the free stuff & see if it works for you.

  • Memory card recommendation

I'm about to get a 5 d Mark III and am looking for a recommendation on the memory cards. I remember reading that the Mark III wrote to the slower speed of 2 cards.  Is this correct?

I'll use the camera for General, non-professional photos.

    Steve F

The CF card slot is a slot of UDMA7 (it is very fast).  But the extremely fast technology for SD cards is called UHS1 and the SD card on a 5 d III is not a location of UHS1.

The standard of UHS1 was very new to roughly the time that the 5 d III is released, so depending on when all the engineering on this body has been finalized (well before it goes into mass production) if the standard of UHS1 was not far enough along, we understand why the 5 d III didn't.  Each Canon EOS camera that came out since (which uses SD cards) using UHS1 technology.

But this isn't the weird bit.  The weird bit is, several photographers say have tested this (I didn't) and demand, is that even if you configure the 5 d III to write exclusively in the slot for CF card and ignore the SD slot, simply having an SD card inserted into this cause slow write speed (it slows down at a speed "as if" he wrote in the DD even if he is ignorant of the SD card.)  I can only imagine that they are both connected to the same "bus" IO and Canon slows the bus for the lowest common denominator, if the SD card is present.

These photographers argue that if you're shooting fast action photography, eject the SD card and only use a CF UDMA7 card - and your writing will finish faster so your camera erases the fast internal buffer and is therefore ready to fire executives earlier.

I have not checked myself and have not read all the articles that display specific data (how many continuous burst for RAW images I can shoot with just a CF card, vs a CF and SD card times in camera before the buffer fills and the framerate slows down.?)

  • max 6 d memory card format

Don't know if there is an answer to this question. I see others asking also, what is the Maximum memory card format that will probably work in the 6 d?

I checked the manual, I checked store descriptions, no one seems to know the answer to this question.

Someone here has never used a map of 64 or 128g in the 6 d? What are your results?

    TIA,

    Craig

You don't have to worry about the limit, at least not with anything on the market today. The 6 d can read two FAT and exFAT format the card, so it should be able to see up to 512 TB of cards at least. But it only supports SDXC, so the upper limit should be 2 TB.

There are some people have already tested the Lexar 256 GB SDXC with the 6 d and it works fine. Here's a review: http://www.technologyx.com/pc-hardware/storage/lexar-professional-600x-sdxc-uhs-1-256gb-card-review-...

  • SanDisk 4 GB Ultra II Compactflash (15 MB/sec) capacity memory card problem

I have Canon EOS 350 d (Rebel XT) and Sandisk 4 GB Ultra II Compactflash (15 MB/s) memory card and I was using this card with my camera almost 3 years.

I have no problem and it has worked great so far.

This is my problem: I am inserting my Sandisk 4 GB Ultra II Compactflash (15 MB/s) memory card to my camera and start shooting. After 70-80 photos he says CF card is full!

When I insert the card into the card reader on my computer (which was the same computer and the same card reader), it shows that 1 GB of the card is full, but when I check the properties of the map on my PC it shows 4 GB...

I have already formatted (FAT32) and tried the same results, but it... It gets only 1 GB of photos...

I tried to format it in different formats E.g., FAT, FAT32... Same result...

I don't know if it's related but 3 months ago I bought a USB card reader so I can transfer my pictures on my laptop when I travel... It's called Sunpak 72 in 1 card reader... I used my card with this drive, and it is the quick read as HELL! I was very happy with it, but now I think that if this card reader is originally anyting? I don't know maybe not relevant...

While the guys do you think? What can be the problem and what could be the solution?

    Thank you in advance...

    Best regards...

Here's something you can try to test the map. put it in the computer and format it. Make sure that the map shows the amount of space available. This should be 3.75 GB of something similar. If it's showing corectly then use computer data and copy of the card. Fill the card completely full. Then look at the properties and see if the card can be filled to capacity.

  • SanDisk Ultra 32 GB class 6 (20 MB/s) SDHC Memory Card

    Hello;

The playback speed is about 18 MB/s, but the write speed of the peaks at about 7 MB/s using H2testw 1.4 in a card reader internal / writer (Windows 7 x 64, 12-core processor).

Is this normal for this category of cards?

    Thank you.

"These powerful cards with files large, right?

That's what my tests showed. To see this in the extreme, I backed up my favorites to a flash memory card. I have a lot of favorites on my pc. Each file is less than 1 000 bytes. I think that speed when the backup of a large number of them has less than 1 Mbps, while safeguarding the files with the same configuration was more than 7 MB/sec.

    Hello

1 have had any changes made on the computer before the show?

    2. do you get an error message? If Yes, what is the full and exact error message?

    Method 1:

I suggest to test the card by inserting it in a different USB port and later in another computer to test and check if it is detected.

    Method 2:

I also suggest you to check if the memory card is detected by a different card reader.

    Method 3:

I suggest you to see link and check if it helps:

    Welcome to the forum!

the T400 can accept as DDR3 modules.   no other module does physically fit in the slot.
