Memory evolving!

Hi all

I got an Acer Aspire 5532 from a friend more then about 6 months ago. I recently installed Windows 8 on the laptop but got rid of him shortly after. Since then, my laptop requires a slight slap/vile so he can start, otherwise I just get a black screen. But when I get to start the RAM is evolving. For example, I have exactly 3 GB of installed Ram but the most I managed to do show never was usable 2.75, and it will be 2.00 (usable 1.75) sometimes and 1.00 (750MO) installed. It's extremely frustrating and I can't have full use of my laptop because of it. Someone please Help!

AMD Athlon (TM) Processor TF-20 1.60 GHz
Supposed to be 3.00 GB
32-bit operating system
Windows 7

Everyone remember that I tried: change RAM, RAM of cleaning, cleaning computer RAM of switching between computers.

Please,
Mark

Is there a way to make the video card Ram is not used?

-Mark

Laptops do not normally have a video card. Instead they have video support built into the motherboard. And since there is no video card, it has no memory on the video card video, and they take a part of the memory of the main mother Board for this purpose.

* However * the memory key amount they take for video application is fixed and does not change the way you describe. I do not know what is causing your problem, but as far as I know, it may be.

    Hello

I put t know what information did you you get different people, but it seems that the simple PC2100 200-pin memory (266 MHz) DDR SODIMM modules are compatible and supported!

You should be able to upgrade the laptop with all the modules that supports the specifications above.
It seems that two module slots are evolving and you can use max 2 x 512 MB.

  • How can I move virtual memory on hard drive external?

I use windows xp. I have problems with virtual memory. I have an external hard drive. How can I move virtual memory external hard disk? I get a message that my virtual memory is low. My computer is running very slowly. Is there another answer to my problem?

You can increase virtual memory instead of what you think now... You can find good info on how to do http://www.delete-computer-history.com/increase-virtual-memory.html and http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308417. However, for convenience, I'll include some steps below...

"How to increase virtual memory? ."

    In Windows XP

    1. on start and then click Control Panel.
    2. click on performance and Maintenanceand then click System.
    3. on the Advanced tab, under performance, click settings.
    4. under the Advanced tab, under virtual memory, click on change.
    5. under drive [Volume label], click the drive that contains the swap file that you want to change.
    6. under paging file size for selected drive, click custom size check box. You can enter the amount of memory you wish to book for virtual memory by entering the initial and maximum size.
    7. click on set
When you are prompted to restart the computer, click Yes.
Special note: You must choose the same amount for the initial size and maximum size. This will stop your CPU from the pagefile evolving. "(found in the link above)

  • Error message says that my system's virtual memory is too low.

Hello, I have increased the paging files such minimum and maximum values suggested by various sources of help and my computer seems to be running a little faster, but negligible so. I also understand that moreRAM will help, however, I have the maximum RAM my laptop can take internally (256 MB). Is there such a thing asexternal RAM I can get to increase my RAM? I work withWindows XP Home Edition and I understand that I need a minimum of 256 MBRAM for my virtual memory to be ok. Verification ofRAM to my system , I see that I have 256 MB of RAM (physical memory), however, only about 10 MB ofRAM (physical memory) is available for use (I got this information from thesystem information tool). I don't know what that means. Should I have 256 MB ofRAM available for use for my virtual memory to be ok? My hard drive is 20 GB but I have about 0,6 GB of free space, so I think I have anexternal hard drive in order to have more space. Can get an external hard drive to upgrade my RAM? Any help
    very much appreciated. Tony.

Hi, I sympathise with your situation, but my answer may not be what you want here, even though I think you'll find credible and useful information (I have a degree in computer service technology (end of the 1980s, but I do not work in this area).)

In the computing environment today with all web 2.0 and 3.0, sites which consist usually of a large number of graphics and flash type software, you must have much more memory...
For simplicity, there are memories of basically two types that apply to your situation, and it is the RAM (to run your software as applications etc., then the memory of your hard drive (to do most of the work...)
The computer, I am writing about this time is about five to seven years of age. He had 500MB of RAM when I bought it and 80 GB of hard drive memory. Then about two years ago I started to have virtual memory issues so I bought a stick of 1 GB of ram and installed what brought my RAM to 1.5 GB of ram and it took care of the issue of virtual memory. (I use a Dell Dimension 2400). I also bought a terabyte external drive to organize the future all downloads and transferred from the stuff that was on my computer on the external drive to free up some memory hard drive of my computer.
Here are some points to remember and a recommendation or two. If you can, buy you a bar of RAM and install it... (instructions should come with the RAM on how to install it and you can also search the creator of computer Web site for assistance). It's a fairly simple process which consist essentially of find a connector available on your motherboard near where your already installed ram is located and pop in the newly purchased RAM stick. You should be able to get at least another stick of ram of 256 MB and this should help.
You also have another problem, however, you indicate that you have seulement.6 GB memory hard drive of 20 GB. From my experience, when you use beyond the mark to halfway to the memory of your drive hard your computer can start to slow you down to the bottom of issues.
20 GB hard drive is not really much memory in standard today for the internet. If I was buying a computer today, I would get at least a terabyte of disk hard memory (and at the very least, the computer should have at least 500 GB memory hard drive). You could probably make it thereby half, but I mainly throw these numbers out there so you can get some perspective on how just 20 GB is not get it for the internet today, especially if you use your laptop or desktop (20 GB might be great for palm pilot but even these computer really little, I forgot the name off the coast of the hand have more than 20 GB...)
I hope that this information was of some use to you. You can find me doing my thinghttp://www.informationinternetmarketing.com/
    Good luck
    Floyd
P.S. I just noticed you said you within your capabilities of ram in your computer... If you can not increase ram, then you should try to increase virtual memory... It is recommended that you increase the virtual memory by 1.5 times greater than the normal setting. • Question about consumption of memory in Collections

I read this on some site-

Memory for collections is stored in the global program (PGA), not the overall system (SGA) area. The SGA memory is shared by all sessions connected to the Oracle database, but PGA memory is allocated for each session. Thus, if a program requires 5 MB of memory to fill a collection and there are 100 concurrent connections, this program leads to the consumption of 500 MB memory of PGA, in addition to the memory allocated in the SGA.

    My Question is-

If I use Collections in my procedures and consume 5 MB of space, is the memory always allocated for the session even if the procedure ends its execution?

I want to say is that the memory free for other sessions after the end of session or completion procedure?

    user9276238 wrote:

Yes. How does know the session as your very next statement to it does not run this procedure even once again (with different parameters). There is still 5MB of RAM. And if the releases, it will reassign. If all the processes work like this, immediately release the memory and then grabbing memory-that could cause contention and other issues.

Memory management is more complex than that. For example, assume that your session required 1 few KB of space. So the memory of the process looks something like this:
    XXXX

Then, your session must than 5MB for the (huge) collection:
    xxxxyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

And during the treatment, he needs a few more KB:
    xxxxyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyzz

Okay, so now he can release the 5 MB of memory (as indicated by y ) to the nucleus? It cannot reduce it because there are allocated and used memory leak (as indicated by the z ). It will need re - org this memory in order to free this 5 MB to a value is.

Therefore, it is not as simple as we'd like to think. The basic rule for PL/SQL is to walk gently using memory. Why? Because it's server code. Memory used in PL is allocated in memory private to this process. Unlike a shared memory, no one can share in its use. Thus the memory must be considered expensive.

There is also the problem of scalability. If your code needs 5MB memory private server PL... what happens when a 100 client sessions running all your code? How well the your code evolves in a multiprocessu environment and several server?

So what memory should ideally use then in PL? Shared memory. The SGA. This means that it is better for scalability and the resource server store structures data for PL as TWG (global temporary tables - where a temporary table is created by session).

I want to say is that the memory free for other sessions after the end of session or completion procedure?

The session is a memory of ito 'sure thing' output to the kernel as free memory - assuming that it is a dedicated server session. The actual process of the server ends and gets out his PGA. Shared services server process several sessions over a lifetime. And only when him over the shared server process, released his PGA. (although PGAs can be narrowed as and deciding achievable by managers of memory)

  • Blue screen and bad RAM memory?

My MBP 2011 early all just stopped working yesterday, it worked very well without any problem of performance for the last 5 years, and then suddenly a blue screen (of death) and it has problems starting.

He will ring the Bell to start, display the bar loading and Apple, and then there will be a glitch on the big screen (horizontally) 1 inch above the Apple, after that, the fans speed up and all that I see a gray screen, not user interface.

The official list of Mac compatible with macOS Sierra:

What are the requirements for Sierra.

Towards the end of 2009 or later

    • MacBook
    • iMac

    2010 or later

    • MacBook Air
    • MacBook Pro
    • Mini Mac
    • Mac Pro

If you do not meet the above, but respect what follows, then you can upgrade to El Capitan.

    Upgrade to El Capitan

You can pass the Lion El Capitan or directly from Snow Leopard. El Capitan can be downloaded for FREE from the Mac App Store.

To upgrade to El Capitan, you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or installed Lion. Download El Capitan from the App Store. Sign in with your Apple ID. El Capitan is free. The file is big enough, more than 5 GB, allow it some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.

Mac that can be upgraded to OS X El Capitan

1 iMac (mid-2007 or newer) - model identifier 7.1 or later

2 MacBook (late 2008 or early 2009 or newer aluminium) - model identifier 5.1 or later

    3. MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)- model identifier 3.1 or later version

4 MacBook Air (late 2008 or newer)- model identifier 2.1 or later

5 mac mini (early 2009 or newer)- model identifier 3.1 or later version

6 mac Pro (Early 2008 or newer)- model identifier 3.1 or later version

7 Xserve (early 2009) - model identifier 3.1 or later version

To find the identifier of the model open system information in the Utilities folder. It is displayed in the Panel on the right.

    Are my applications?

See table of application - RoaringApps compatibility

    Upgrade to Lion

If your computer does not meet requirements to install the above, it can still meet the specifications to install Lion.

You can buy Lion to the Apple store. The cost is $19.99 (as it was before) plus taxes.  It's a download. You will receive an email with a redemption code that you then use on the Mac App Store for download Lion. Save a copy of this installer to your download folder because Setup deletes itself at the end of the installation.

    Lion system requirements

1 mac with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7,

    or Xeon processor

    2. 2 GB of memory

    3 OS X 10.6.6 or later (10.6.8) recommended

    4. 7 GB of available space

    5. certain features require an Apple ID; conditions apply.

  • Why must the Finder 10.12 more physical memory

    Hello

I use the preview mode icons in the Finder feature to pre-select one or more images for later use in documents. The pre-selection spans more than 30-40 records, each a few images from 80 to 120. At the beginning just after the start of system-Finder takes about MB, 45-47. Working through records about 20 this is increased to a muscular 1.78 GB. Which is not a problem at the moment because I have 20 GB of available, but I was wondering why the Finder is the hungry.  And also, this increase in the number of forever with the number of records, I'm working through?

The only way I can "free" memory to baseline is to force quit viewfinder, but there must be a more elegant method.

Anyone know this method? Thanks in advance.

    Hans

Finder, as the system and other applications, will use unused memory in the file cache. It uses more memory, but it does not use what is available and who otherwise would be wasted. If something else needs memory, cache memory is reduced. There is no need to keep 'liberation' memory. The system will take care of him for you (that's why all apps free memory are unnecessary placebos that actually reduce performance).

  • "Your system is running out of Application memory"

    Hello

Since last week I have been having a problem where my computer screen appears with a reading of the question 'your system has sold out of the memory of the application.' This happens around every 20-30 minutes to use my computer, where the issue is resolved by restarting my computer. However, this message appears when I have 1 or 2 applications open (including the permanent Finder application). At my computer without a doubt a lot of memory left and I installed only 5 additional applications: League of Legends, Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Word and Outlook. I used OS X El Capitan for the first half of the week and macOS Sierra for the second half, but the upgrade did not solve my problem.

    I run:

MacBook Air (13 inch, mid 2013)

1.3 GHz Intel Core i5 processor

    DDR3 4 GB 1600 MHz memory

    Start drive Macintosh HD

Graphics Intel HD Graphics 5000 1536 MB

Your system is running out of RAM, not disk space. 4 GB is the absolute minimum of RAM. Try to remove all unnecessary startup items (Preferences > users and groups > you > login items) with the key less (not simply uncheck the boxes - which hide just the app but it still works).

You can also run activity monitor (Applications > utilities) to see what is using the memory.
