Menu bar of tasks and Windows Vista boot

Yesterday I sat in front of my computer at work and I got a white screen.  I restarted my computer, and the only thing that popped up was my Documents box.  I still have all my files have and can access internet and other files, including the control panel but I have to perform every time that of the function CTRL + ALT + DELETE and to run explorer.exe to get my bar of tasks and the menu back start.

What can I do to ensure that the taskbar and start menu appear each time that I reboot?  This just happened out of the blue.  Don't install any software.  Could we have a Windows update that changed that?  I tried to go back and restore one day last week, but that has not solved the problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is never a bad thing to do system restore.

I know how to do this? If you do, do not take into account the link below.

If you don't see the tabs in the Task Manager, then that means it works in 'tiny footprint mode' (sometimes referred to as 'Kiosk mode' or 'format') which does not show the legs or the menus above. This mode exists mainly for advanced users who want to put a small CPU counter in the corner of the screen using the performance tab. Sometimes this happens accidentally if you open and use the task manager often. To return to normal mode, open the Task Manager and double-click anywhere in the area of border (open) to reveal the tabs.

  • Windows 7 and Windows Vista

I'm trying to understand the differences in security of Windows 7 and Windows Vista. I am also generally try to understand how Windows 7 is Vista. If anyone has any information they can give me, I would appreicate it.

At a deep level, Windows 7 is almost identical to Windows Vista, but with minor tuning and adjustments.  You can see how they are in the version numbers:

    Windows Vista is 6.0 internally

Windows 7 is 6.1 internally (just a tiny 0.1 updated)

As an example of the update minor: both use UAC, but Windows 7 student autonomous tasks the most initiated by UI so you don't have to confirm as often.

  • Problem to create the Internet connection sharing between Windows XP and Windows Vista.

Original title: Internet connection sharing between Windows XP and Windows Vista.

    Hello

Recently, I plugged a laptop running Windows XP to a desktop computer running Windows Vista using a standard Ethernet cable with the intention of use sharing of Internet connection. The notebook contains a wireless connection that I've routed to the office via the cable said.  While the initial phase of installation went well (I was too lazy to do it manually, so I just used the Wizard "Set up a home or small business network" Windows XP,) I had to turn off the host computer to install a program. When I tried to set up ICS again, I couldn't connect to the Internet by using ICS. After this failure, I tried to configure the properties of TC/IPv4 (IP, gateway by default, etc.) manually, but I still couldn't run.  I am able to access the shared host PC and client files. It seems to me that some service essential to the proper functioning of the ICS may be disabled in some way, but it's just speculation, as I have no evidence of such a service. Help would be most appreciated.

    Thank you

    FG-man

I tried this before using a laptop to share internet with my 360.  problem is there was Nat on the router, and it is in contradiction with the ics.

Anyway long story short I did some research on the Internet and discovered that if you're behind a router ICS will be confllict with her, as ICS also does routing. a much better option is to "bridge the conections ' on the laptop.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/hnw_bridge_install.mspx?mfr=true

If you go this route, you need to set a static ip address for the office,

Either that or if you want to continue using ICS put the laptop in the DMZ in the router may help, but it will be less secure.

Hope that this helped good luck

Two ways are participatory computers in a windows environment, a working group and a _.   You can fill in the blank?

Virtual private networks have little to do with the domains or working groups.

I don't think that WIndows 98 can join to a domain.  All versions of WIndows, you mention should be able to participate in a working group, however.

In my opinion, the best way to share a printer is to use a printer connected to the network

  • Resource monitor shows Windows 7 and Windows Vista running different programs

I followed my programs and other at quite a bit lately since my system hangs and is running more slowly.  I'm trying to understand what might be causing this. I only had Windows 7 loaded on this desktop computer, as I bought it.  However, today I noticed that in the resource monitor to the title of the CPU that Windows 7 is the context of the operating system for some programs and Windows Vista is the context of operating system for other programs (including programs based Apple).  Is this a problem? Could it be added to some of my slowness and crashes?

This indicates the operating system, the program has been designed to target. If the application does not specify this in its manifesto, it is assigned to a context of Vista. This has been added in Windows 7 that allows new applications to benefit from new features, while older applications continue to work on the former.

  • Blue Screen Driver IRQL blue screen of death Windows 7 Ultimate edition and Windows Vista

original title: BSOD Driver IRQL blue screen of death Windows 7 ultimate and Windows Vista

I get the BSOD, and they are different every time.

I had originally Windows Vista on my pc (HP m8300f) and it worked fine for 3 years until last month, I started to have these BSOD.

So I thought a new clean install of Windows 7 Ultimate would solve the problem. Well, I was very happy to get the new operating system installed, but a few hours later that darn BSOD appeared and im now distraught.

What is my RAM? My drivers? My hard drives?

Computer IM but I'm certainly some type of technology. I have basic computer knowledge and that's all.

You can download minidump files and find the information system here in this zip file http://www.sendspace.com/file/mfx420

This issue is very very irritating and has ruined a lot of my work.

Well up to now (18 hours) my computer has not had the BSOD and what I did is that I removed 1 GB of ram for my motherboard. Their were two sticks of 512 MB. I took them both. Now, I have 2 GB of ram running in my system and had not had a BSOD or an error after you have done this.

What is the problem with my ram? I now have 2 sticks of RAM on my motherboard and both are 1 GB each stick. What is the mix n match that causes a problem all of a sudden? My computer came with this stock of installation. I also noticed the ram I got were the brand Samsung and the other on my motherboard are another brand.

Well idk I hope it was my problem. We'll see.
