Menu bookmarks not always in expansion

Bookmarks menu > folders normally develop as you hover over them. However, this only happens with some of my files and not others. Looks like a bug. Someone else you have this problem?

I had the same problem. I solved it by shortening some long names of the bookmarks in the folder parent (the one that contains the folder that is not growing). Try it and let me know.

    Hello

Thank you for posting this and for letting me know it now works for you (which is acceptable to you).

In fact, what you describe above is not a bug, but it should. This is because Microsoft has changed a bit the boot process and the stop function since Win 8 (which means Windows 8, 8.1 and now 10). Instead of the stop full as in Windows XP, Vista, 7, Windows 8, 8.1, and 10 (when he is chosen to turn off) will stop, but closing them is a kind of hibarnation. For this reason, what describe you above is going on (he begins the latest OS because it was really completely out).  Full done restart restarts and it meets the place where the OS is selected.

This mode ensures a faster start-up (on cause of so-called half restart).

  • Firefox automatically updated itself, would not add new bookmarks, then deleted all mine, will not always add new, now the back button does not work. I'm Livid.

I think I'm on Firefox 13.0. He put itself as part of the update of my computer up to date (at least I guess that's what happened, because it has changed). I noticed yesterday that he would not favorite Web sites, but I thought it was just the website or bookmarks have been full-time or something. Today, I tried to remove a few bookmarks to make more, but they would not remove. I tried to register a new site, and it wouldn't work. I tried to close/exit firefox and re-opening of the program. While the program was closed, I installed the next set of updates on my computer. When I have opened firefox, all my favorites, and the tab menu (or what you call personal small bar on the actual tabs) were gone. I can't always favorite of new sites, so I can't even re-do all my favorites (and I got a lot, all of them arranged so it's a big loss and incredibly annoying). Then I realized that the back button does not work. And the cursor remains on the typing that I symbol, it does not change the arrow, when I click on a link.

One possible cause is a problem with the places.sqlite file that stores the bookmarks and history.

You can also try to repair the database of places with this extension:

  • When I try to add a bookmark, the menu "bookmark"page to rename it comes, it comes automatically adds, also when I installed the menu not appear Adblock it was installed, even if it was, etc...

The menu "bookmark"page sometimes appears for a split second and disappears. The bookmark is added, but I'm not able to change the name of the file without manually all bookmarks.

Also, when I installed adblock plus menu, saying that it has been installed successfully done the same thing.

I tried to disable all extensions and plugins, it did not help.

Also tried to completely uninstall firefox

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

    Try turning off hardware acceleration.

    • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

If disable hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.

  • Library bookmarks not refreshing with new bookmarks or history

This is my first question here then I hope to do things well. Recently, I did a scan for privacy and delete programmatically (Glary Utilities) and
my history and bookmarks have disappeared. I expect to remove from history but not my favorites. Fortunately, backups of bookmarks has been installed in the drop down menu and the icon of the places but not in the sidebar to my dismay. I use all-in - One Sidebar to this function and prefer to leave my favorites open most of the time to facilitate recovery. In fact, my problem is bookmarks and history of visited sites is not stay in tune with what I do. I can't save a bookmark in one selected folder other than the unsorted list. the screen is empty or has a minimum listed sites (3). The screenshot shows it's better that my explaining that this. What I've done so now for this problem: open Firefox in Safe Mode, nothing. Created an account to sync to my laptop browser info correct my office, nothing. Firefox files deleted the program files, nothing. * I may have missed a file if I couldn't tell that it was related to Firefox. Added the module Maintenance of premises and SQLite but do not know how to deploy its services or assistance.

System Information collected by Firefox comes from my laptop (not having is not the problem) and not in my office, info is basically the same. Thank you for what ever help given solve my problem.

Make sure that you are not Firefox running in permanent private browsing mode (don't remember history).

    • Tools > Options > privacy > Firefox will be: "use the custom settings for history".
    • : Uncheck the [] "always use the private browsing mode.

For problems with the file places.sqlite (bookmarks, historical) database, you can check in the Firefox profile folder.

If the extension of Maintenance of places cannot repair the database places.sqlite file remove all places.sqlite files in the Firefox profile folder to rebuild the database places.sqlite latest JSON Firefox backup in the folder bookmarkbackups.

  • Why bookmark drop down panel change has > Z-order when modified in the menu bookmark?

When I try to set the order of bookmarks in bookmarks organize the library page opens, I select Menu bookmarks, select a bookmark and click on organize, select all and all are highlighted, then go to view, sort, sort by name of the sort order, has > Z. I then close the window "library". When I go back to the drop-down list bookmarks on panel without order has changed. Even if I restart Firefox after these actions, it is always the same.

Change the sort order in the library does not change the sort order of the bookmarks menu. If you want to change the sort order in the menu bookmarks, see sorting and the reorganization of bookmarks - Firefox - MozillaZine Knowledge Base

  • Where is the Menu bookmarks?

In Safari 10 I can only add bookmarks to the 'Favourites' section or to bookmark files, I created myself. I can't add to the bookmarks Menu more because apparently disappeared? Is this a bug? Now I can not add my favorites for the 'root' of the bookmark list more. My bookmarks section contains a list of folders of bookmarks and a few bookmarks in the upper slot that I did not put in such a folder. I used to select the Menu bookmark to add those and decided later if I want to move to a folder of bookmarks. But this Menu bookmarks option has now disappeared. It is not anywhere between my either custom files. So where is he past?

Open the Bookmarks Sidebar, then click on the URL, and then drag it to the bookmarks.

  • How to show the menu bookmark black in FF 29.1 o/s Windows 7?

I have fixed all my problems with new FF 29.1, except one, I usually use 4 Noia, but it is no longer available in FF 29.1. When you use Noia 4, I was able to have a black background with white writing in my bookmark menu. I am now using the solid black by MaDonna, but it don't exchange not the color of the menu bookmark is there a way to get around this, because it was much easier for me to read with my bad eyesight. Any help would be appreciated gratefully through my eyes and me. Cheers and thanks a lot to anyone who takes the time to read this and may help with the problem.

As I said in your other thread, (AKA light themes, personas) themes change only the bottom of the toolbars. You need a complete theme if you want to change the background of the menus, or the appearance of the buttons.

Regarding the alternatives of Noia 4, Noia Fox and Nuvola FF are available, but is not a dark theme.

  • How can I change the location of default bookmark in the menu bookmarks to the bookmarks bar?

The question already exactly described my problem.

Whenever I have bookmark on a page, the default location is the value Menu bookmarks in the folder.

However, I would like to change that to the bookmarks toolbar. How can I do?

    Thank you!

Are you aware that you can easily add a new bookmark to the bookmarks toolbar by dragging the tab Web site icon in the bookmarks toolbar?

Click ' drag is faster than to play with the system "save a new bookmark. BTW, it is not preferably built-in to Firefox to do what you ask about.

  • I want that my default Menu bookmark to Favorites Office

If I want to access my menu bookmark on my Android device, I have to do the following:
1 - type on the address bar
2 - tap on the bookmark tap where it shows the tabs ' Top Sites/Bookmakrs/history '.
3 - tap on Favorites Office
4 - tap on the bookmarks menu.

There's 4 things that I have to hit until I'm able to go pick the site that I want to visit. What I want is for my "desktop Menu bookmarks/favorites / ' folder is opened as soon as I tap on the address bar, pourriez please let me know how to do this? Thank you!

It is not possible. You should be able to find your Office bookmarks quickly by typing a few letters of the bookmark name or site. Like Firefox has more historical navigation to work with Firefox should be able to find the sites you visit most often more quickly.

  • How can I remove bookmarks not in folders that do not appear when I click on "show all bookmarks"?

All my favorites that are important are in folders and fines. But when I click the menu bookmarks, folders are followed by a list of unwanted bookmarks. These do not appear when I go to "show all bookmarks". Here, the "unsorted bookmarks" folder is empty.
I can delete the bookmarks side one at a time, but it will take ages!

  • How to customize the menu bookmarks, such as remove subscribe to this page and and hide or remove the unsorted bookmarks in the bookmarks menu bar?

In the old version you could hide the or delete to subscribe to this page from the bookmarks bar option menu option and the same for the unsorted Lily book option.
I would also like to remove some spaces that surround these options in the menu.

I want to talk about the menu bar with the bookmarks menu item.

All of these options in the bookmarks menu makes for lots of unnecessary scrolling for the bookmarks menu in any direction (upwards or downwards). I think it's very annoying that there is NO option to hide these elements either to just outside and to remove it!

The toolbar that I speak has this list on this.
