  The problem.

  I am using Thunderbird 38.2.0 Win 7, computer runs well.
  

  Over the last six months, my Thunderbird had a very unusual problem, I spent hours looking for a solution here and have seen anything similar.

  There are 5 email accounts associated with this installation. It worked perfectly for years.
  A day without known reason the main Inbox appears more messages.
  All records on this account work very well, as do all other folders on all other accounts.
  Emails are there... If I click on the (Now) empty message box, all messages will be displayed in the message display box, but the content of the actual file is empty.
  I hope that I myself have explained clearly.
  All suggestions welcome.
  I have created new profiles, reinstalled tbird... at my wits end, any help gratefully accepted.
  Attached is a screenshot of my main Inbox folder, as you can see display messages, but the record does not show messages.

  Have you tried right click, select properties and then repair?

• iCal on my mac, then merge with iCloud

  I would like to use iCal to automate a task every night, I tried to do it via iCal. I want iCl to open a specific program to save my catalog of photography at a specific time (while I'm asleep), then close in the morbibg until I wake up. I used the custom alert to do, who works for a day or two, then iCloud removes the custom alert and all I'm left with is a reminder without action.

  Ideally, I would like to create a reminder that "on my mac" as I don't want this reminder popping up on my other Apple devices, because it is no longer relevant to my 27 iMac (my work computer).

  I tried to create a calendar that is only "on my mac" that I did it by disabling the iCloud, make a schedule, creating personalized with custom alarm, reminder and then turning power on. The only problem is iCloud absorbs only nine "on my mac" calendar and eventually turns off the custom alert, so I'm no further forward in doing so.

  Please can anyone help because it's so boring. Why did you take this Apple? Not everyone wants everything in the iCloud all the time!

  Thank you for using communities Support from Apple. I know have a problem with the calendar on your Mac app, it's not what you expect. As I understand it, you can't make and keep a schedule "on my Mac", as when you activate the iCloud "on my Mac" gets merged with iCloud calendar and gets synchronized on your other devices. Personally, I've tested this and couldn't replicate, so here is what I suggest to identify and solve your problem:

  1. use Mode without fail to start up your Mac so that it performs certain checks, remove files from the system cache, check your startup disk and trying to fix problems if necessary directory. Test this problem by disabling your iCloud calendar and create the event and a timetable "on my Mac" then restart your Mac and reactivating the iCloud calendar.

  Try safe mode if your Mac does not end commissioning
  Graphics performance limited in recovery of OS X or in safe mode

  2. If you are still experiencing a problem, you can know if unexpected behavior is related to the user file or a parameter in trying to reproduce the problem to another user account. This process includes creating a new user account, connect to it and test for the issue.

• Main Inbox do not display messages

  Hello. I realize there have been similar topics, but could not see a corresponding to the mine.

  I have around 30-40 emails all managed in thunderbird. I used to be able to see all messages in the section of the main inbox at the top. But now it is completely empty. Screen always accounts individual messaged all right, but it is consuming a lot more to go through them individually rather than select all and remove section from the main Inbox.

  I'd appreciate any help on this!

  Try this:
  In mode "Unified."
  Right-click on the upper main Inbox and select "Properties".
  Name must be unified inbox folders.
  Click on the button "select".
  Make sure that all the 'Inbox' folders are selected for different accounts.
  Click OK

  You need to select again from the Inbox?

  Check that the search criteria using the radio button for "match all messages" and that there are no additional criteria.

  In general, you will see a 'subject' greyed 'contains' followed by an empty field the more and fewer buttons.
  Click on "update".

• How to create the new library of Photos to iCloud without it merging with the former?

  I started my iCPL in January 2015. It is now 104 Gb/8000 photos. In a year I need to upgrade my plan of storage iCloud.

  So I think I would make the existing one a regular photo library, and start a new photo library iCloud.

  If I start a new library now and make the iCPL, merge it with the existing iCPL. I want to replace the existing in iCloud.

  I could do (I think): -.

  1. make the existing a non-iCPL and rename it.

  2. create a new lib Photos and make the library system iCloud.

  3. the new library (empty) will download and merge with the former in iCloud, so it contains now 8000 photos of the original lib.

  4. delete all the 8000 photos in the new.

  5. start put new photos in the photo library now empty iCloud.

  Is there a better way? I do it too difficult?

  I can see what I've described above taking a long time to settle on all devices, even if I can avoid 30 day waiting by removing the deleted record recently.

  You use "Optimize Mac Storage" on your Mac? Then, you will need to make sure that all the photos to download to your Mac before you copy your current library corresponding to your backup disk and start deleting iCloud.  Is there enough free storage on your Mac to do this?

  I would also like to than my thin iCloud library. My iCloud library has only my favorite photos of many years, I want on all my devices as well as the most recent photos that I'm still trying. Because the iCloud library must be the library system, only in iCloud library photos are available in the media for other applications browser, so I keep all the photos here that I can use in other applications.

  What I do to save bandwidth and download time is to have two libraries:

  1. A large library where I keep all the photos I want to keep - it's my photo archives. This library is on an external drive that is supported by Time Machine and is currently still an Aperture library.
  2. A smaller library iCloud in my pictures folder.

  I import new photos first to the iCloud library, remove all the bad moves that do not need archiving, then I export the originals at the library of the archives.

  And then I start editing the photos in the library to iCloud and learn by removing and keeping only the best photos.

  What is the size of the E:Drive?

  E: drive may be the recovery disk to reinstall the OS, if there is between 5-15GBs.

  Do not touch, except to make the recovery of the disks.

  1. to reinstall Vista from in the case of a failure of the system, based on individuals or the keys at startup.

  F10 or Alt + F10 or F11 are a couple of different manufacturers use sequences.

  You will need to ask your manufacturer for proper sequence.

  2. to make the recovery disks on if your drive hard breaks down, so that you can then reinstall the operating system on a new hard drive.

  Also ask them how to make records.

  Your D: or E: drive of recovery should not be used for backups, defragmented, etc..

  There are backups on an external hard drive.

  To resolve the problems that have arisen with the recovery D: Partition, you will need to contact the manufacturer of your computer to remove all that has been added to it.

  If E: is not the recovery disc, with disc of Vista management you must use all the space of the E: drive, doesn't not part of the E:.

  See if this applies to your situation.

  Save all data on E: > E: remove > and then extend C: into the now unallocated space where E: was.

  Having recently upgraded to Pro XI in DC and I am unable to locate the files to be merged with similar measures. This exists in DC or is there a way to do this without going back to XI Pro?

  I see at the bottom of the Action Wizard pane, you have an option to AutoSplit Pro. It's a third party plug-in for Acrobat, and I bet that's the source of all the other measures (they are not included with Acrobat Pro XI). Thus, it seems that you have lost access to this plug-in (which can happen with the update, because DC only supports 64 - bit plug-ins architecture).

  You may be able to recharge that plug-in for Acrobat DC. If not, I would check with Evermap to see if they have a newer version: http://www.evermap.com/autosplit.asp

• Question about merging with the function of the background

  Hello, I was wondering if someone can tell me when it is useful to use the fusion with the function of the background.  I see nothing in the documentation on the subject. It seems to me that you can make your changes on the master slide, and you would not need the feature.  If I'm misunderstanding please let me know, thanks.

  Is not safe to be comprehensive here, just my ideas. If you merge objects with the background on a master slide, you can save on the size of the file, because the background is an image, compared to several objects. You will not be able to edit these objects more. Also the slide background will always be behind any object. For slides model objects you can have them either on top, where they sit on top of the stack, or not. If you have objects of time during the rest of the project, they will always be on top of the slide background, but if you slide model objects, they'll be on top of the object of time during the rest of the project, unless you put that one always on top. You can disable to show slides on normal leaves model objects, separately from the power off from the slide background. Some of my ideas. For objects that I still want to be with the background, I'd prefer to merge. For objects that do not always, I will keep the separately and it is of course always the case for the button of interactive form that you cannot merge with the background (which is just an image, non-interactive).

• Merger with two screens

  Hi all

  I have been using Fusion for some time now and recently put on a 20 "iMac with a second screen to 1280 * 1024 (think that's what it is).

  The trick has been to install merge with Windows XP & run on the second screen, then using spaces, configure Windows used the second monitor

  This worked well, the views are properly recognized by iMac in 1680 * 1050 & the second screen 1280 * 1024 is correctly shown on the iMac & space works very well.

  However, Windows made a complete mess of the display using the highest resolution (I guess the iMac) and enlargement of the image beyond the screen, there are scroll bars to move around the office.

  This despite say right click Windows display properties, settings tab to 1280 * 1024 - there a box but is grayed out to "extend my Windows desktop to this monitor" which looks like it should be removed, if I dare say that I have to logon with Admin rights, but that is no big thing. Yet another example of what a nasty piece of bad programming Windows may be what Im like he can't even recognize a display.

  Enyone else knows this and if so how is it overcome?

  I installed VMWare tools but that diddnt have all options to set the display size, unless I missed something obvious.

  I assume you are using the full screen. Have you checked view > use all displays in mode full screen?

• Merge with Hub Microsoft contacts Skype contacts!

  For the love of God, why Microsoft bought Skype if you are not able to work together to provide a common working contacts list?

  I use Skype on Windows (main PC), modern Windows (Tablet) and Windows Phone (Lumia) with a joint account of Microsoft. I take advantage of the integration of the people Hub.

  The hub is able to rightly see contacts Skype (filter list option).

  But Skype on all my devices only show a part of my contacts in the hub of the people. In fact, I see it seems an old version of my hub of people on Windows Phone list and none of them under Windows / Windows modern, even if I choose 'all' in all cases.

  So please, team of Skype, could you difficulty once the contacts list and why not merge all together with hub Microsoft People?

  What Skype is not supposed to be more integrated with Microsoft services? Then even better, offer your customers an option to get rid of your contact management and instead, use one Microsoft!

  Thanks for the answer, but in the meantime (and windows mobile 10 is not for tomorrow!), Skype is almost useless. I change a phone number in the hub of the people and expect to see change in Skype so that I can use Skype to call.

  But no, the Skype app still shows the old number.

  It used to be better, so I guess that a bug serious behind!

  EDIT: got it: need to refresh my hotmail Inbox in WP to force a synchronization of the hub of the people.

  To close Skype completely, wait a few seconds and then connect again.

  Now see the number published in Skype. Should be much smoother.

  I now have to change the settings of my account from microsoft on Windows Phone "based on my use' to 'as items happens', it might be useful...

• Time machine: old back to merge with another of

  I have a problem my back disc is full. And I have similar backups. whenever time machine backs up all the files (I thought it automatically adds only new... boh.) Anyway could you suggest me how to merge the old backups in order to keep a backup with older and newer files in the corresponding folders? Can I do it manually, but what paths of files across? I know on the restoration in disk utility, but is used to copy a disc shape to another, I read. I have all in one disc, and I want to do new backup now that the mac is new. Thank you very much.   I suggest that you forget about 'fusion' backups Time Machine. Time Machine backups are complex, they contain several levels of permissions and access rules to prevent users from editing, display or delete data belonging to others (or system files).

  Time Machine also manages the size of backup itself, so even if you manage to make "a big backup" eventually he will get full & TM will remove the oldest copies (often without warning).

  Apple don't support editing, merging, or otherwise change the backups Time Machine.

  You would be wiser to upgrade the old backup in a safe place and start a new backup to a new disk. If you need old files you can retrieve them from the old backup.

  Another option is to make a copy of your important data for archiving. Simply copy these files to another disk instead of depend only on the Time Machine backups.
