Message boot fail and OS recovery, HP Support Assistant updates fail to install

Product has 10, 64-bit windows.

Before that I got the operating system, when the wizard of Support HP told me that there are updates for my laptop, the updates worked OK.

Laptop suffered a spontaneous failure to start.

The only solution I could find was to restore the operating system from the recovery partition.

However, since I restored the operating system, the HP Support Assistant always warns me that there are updates for my laptop.

However, after recovering OS when they download, updates now always failed. There is no error code.

I'm done contact HP Support. They gave me with a link to download the update manually. I still have to do that.

If this does not work, I'll come back to them.

I know it's just a warning and it doesn't seem to affect the performance of my computer that I can say, but I would like to know why it's happening.

Well, I found the task that updates HPSA in Task Scheduler.  I disabled it by using the Properties window.  On the chance someone may be interested, I'll post how it turns out.

I hope that I can now keep the HPSA listed for my computer with no additional alert to update again HPSA that generates several warnings and is not compatible with my desktop computer Pavilion p6 - 2220t and/or Windows 7 sp1 64-bit operating system.

This disabled the HPSA update only not any other.  It seems to be a standalone update for HPSA.

  • HP Pavilion: recommendation of HP Support Assistant update

    Hello

HP Support Assistant recommended (today) I installed "RealtekRT28723BE/RT281882EE Wireless LAN Driver udate. Have you tried a couple of times and each time I end u without connecting to the net - had to use a restore point for come back to where I was so I used the WiFi AC. I like to keep things up-to-date on my laptop, so I was wondering what I should do to get this recommended update loaded and still have WiFi connectivity?

    TXS

Okay, I think that the problem is that, as you update the wifi driver using wifi, the connection falls at a point and corrupts files. so my sollution would be to try to download the driver out of his HP and install it "without having to be connected. Here is the link to download the driver

  • HP Support Assistant - update for Ralink August 2013

I posted this under the hardware because it's the Ralink WiFi card, but the problem is an HP support Assistant update then maybe I should have posted here in the software.  Thought I'd try again; no answer on Forum hardware.

    Hello mpw101

If I understand correctly, you have a desktop PC HP Pavilion p6 - 2220t CTO and run the Ralink SP62055.exe? I have no idea why the Support Assistant recommend this update because it is to the computers of Business model and not your computer. I recommend that you follow the instructions below.

Step 1. Download this driver to your computer

Step 2. Go in Device Manager

Step 3. Right-click on the Ralink Wireless and uninstall (check that you delete the driver when prompted)

Step 4. Double-click the file you downloaded and install it as it's the right driver Ralink for your computer

This should solve your problem. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • HP6267c Support Assistant update problem

HP6267c with Windows 7, Norton 360, Acronis True Image

HP Support Assistant was working properly until I have been offered and accepted a Support Assistant update today. Now, I can't go in front of the opening screen. Clicking (gray) next, setting, either about has no effect. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the latest version several times, including the use of Microsoft Fixit for uninstall.

I worked on a "blue screen" kick this PC, and sometimes it can only be started in Safe Mode, although it works normally now, if these problems may be related.

    Hello again hp6267c,

Thank you for responding to my post, I'm glad to hear than the update of HP Support Assistant solved at least one of the questions. I'm you provide a document from HP support: Windows 7, Vista, XP Product Activation, which will explain how to reactivate your Windows 7 and why it is you are being invited for this key. • HP and HP Support Assistant update

Is it necessary to have and use the updated HP and HP Support Assistant?  HP Support Assistant does not have everything HP Update done more more? It seems that HP Support Assistant was created to replace HP Update.

    Hello:

    I agree with you.

The support assistant is a program that includes the search for updates and other features such as air upward, etc..

I see no need for both (in fact, I see no need of either).

I mean this... I would like to change the default value of the assistant to support the definition and automatically download and install updates. I read where this thing was running updates the BIOS in the background while people were working on their PC with antivirus running programs, etc., than to have bad things happen.

If you like the support Wizard, my recommendation is to change the setting to warn and let me choose which updates to install - or what is the closest option to the default.

    Hello rarif, welcome.

I recommend that you try and that you use the Windows Installer Cleanup Utility (WICU).

    1. go in:

    2. download the utility and install it
3 run the utility from START > all programs > Windows Installer Cleanup...

    4. find the program you want to uninstall, then remove the
    5. next, restart your computer

  • HP Support Assistant is unable to install the drivers wireless wireless device not recognized at startup

    Name and product number:

    HP Envy Sleekbook4 PC / / C2K72UA #ABA

    Intel Centrinto Wireless-N 2230

    Microsoft Kernel Debug network adapter

    Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller

USB - IF xHCI USB Host controller (Intel WiUSB)

Inter 7 series / C216 Chipset Family USB Enhanced Host Controller - 1E26 (there is a similar device that works but ends with 1E2D)

    System Operalting:

    Latest Windows 8

    No error message.

    Changes:

Uninstalled some things via the control panel (I don't know where I can find a newspaper which has been uninstalled)

Attempt to system restore and it failed.

    My diagnosis:

First of all, some info on why the devices do not work.

The USB controller claims there are insufficient system resources to complete the API. However, I am only using about 20% of my memory and my hard drive. If I deactivate and reactivate the device through Device Manager it starts working until the computer passes in mode 'sleep' or reboots.

The Realtek PCIe controller and Intel Centrino Wireless adapter simply read {operation failed}. If I disable and re-enable these devices via Device Manager they begin to work until the computer mode "sleep" or reboots.

The Microsoft Kernel Debug network adapter "is not present, is not working properly or is not all its drivers installed."

Intel WiUSB - windows cannot load the drivers for this device (code 31).

The HP support assistant tries to download and install "Wireless for windows drivers 8. The download succeeds, but the installation fails.

At startup, windows thinks that there are no network adapters (other than bluetooth). After the reboot of the devices from the Device Manager, they appear in the section of the network adapters.

Thank you in advance for reading this and any help you may be able to offer,

    Tim

I see. Unfortunately, the failure of the short DST means that the hard drive needs to be replaced. The computer is still under warranty?

If so, you can contact HP Technical Support and ask them to send you a replacement. This replacement will come with recovery media. If you don't have an external CD drive, make sure you request a recovery rather than recovery disks USB. They should know that the model already, but, I would make sure. Once you have received the new hard disk, you will need to send the back of an old man in this same area, using the provided shipping label. The technician on the phone will give you the details on that.

  • HP support assistant - update card Ralink 802.11n Wireless LAN April 23, 2014

    My HP computer:

    My OS:

    Windows 7 64-bit sp1

The current version of the driver on my wireless LAN card Ralink is 5.0.9.0.  HPSA now tells me that there is a version 5.0.33.1Ap1 update.

Last AS HPSA said that there is an update, it was bad and created problems. See http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Operating-Systems-Software-Recovery/HP-Support-Asistant-Ralink-...

Does anyone know if HPSA sends the correct update this time?  I would like to learn more about this until I followed the recommendation to download and install it.  Must what problems/bugs or security issues correct?

Thank you for your time and your help.

    Hi mpw101,

I understand that you get an automatic update that indicates that you must install the software driver for your Ralink Wireless LAN card, and I would be happy to help you!

For your computer, the most up-to-date Ralink Wireless Network Controller Driver is labeled sp58084.exe. I spoke with Dunidar on this subject, and he referred me to a previous post that you created on your network card. That being said, if you update is always at the SP62055.exe, please ignore this update as it is a business unit.

    I hope this helps!

    Hello

    Try the following

Firstly, uninstall your current version of HP Support Assistant using Microsoft 'Fixit' at the following link: this is especially useful if you are running a 64-bit Windows version, because it helps to prevent problems when reinstalling HPSA.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/mats/Program_Install_and_Uninstall

When uninstallation is completed, restart the laptop.

When windows has reloaded, download and install the latest version of the page at the link below - HP Support Assistant download links are to the bottom of the page.

    http://h18021.www1.HP.com/helpandsupport/HP-support-Assistant.html

After installation, restart the computer again.
