Original title: MP3 Association.
Hello
Hello
I have 64 Ultimate, I had a problem with the version number of WMPLOC. DLL, see the attachment. I run Kaspersky AV completely up to date.
There is a lot of info on the net and none have worked in this newsgroup on how to fix this error however.I tried to change the version of the file with resource hacker and I tried all the dos commands to save the version of the file, but it worked only partially.
I to WMP do not have access to the list of start/programs, don't y at - it programs in one and the list of features "Turn Windows features on or off", my desktop shortcut has been for version 32 bit and who made the error, as did double click an MP3 file.
I have 32 and 64 bit versions of WMP on my PC, I created a shortcut on the desktop for the 64 bit version and it works however I can't associate MP3s with the 64-bit version, dialogue 'Open with' reverts to the 32-bit version (and I get the error) even if I chose the wmplayer.exe in 64-bit file , I tried to rename the folder WMP 32 bit for windows does not find the exe file in this folder and it uses just Quicktime for the association.
Y at - it a fix for this problem of association?
Thank you
Daniel
I guess you need go to the 64-bit version of Internet Explorer as well for this. There should be a shortcut to this version in the Menu start - all programs. Tim Baets

'MY Documents' was invaded, how can I fix this mess?
As I was trying to organize my files and the library, I found copies of all my documents, windows, messages, games live food all in one file. I have no idea what happened, but has spread to several files, many duplicates and all that appears in "My Documents". Can anyone help me, I have no idea where to start?
Hello
Thanks for choosing Microsoft Community Forums.
According to the description of the problem, it seems that you are having problems with the duplicate in the My Documents folder files. I'll be happy to help you with this problem.
(1) is limited only to a specific folder?
(2) did you have any software / hardware changes before this problem?
Method 1: I suggest you to follow the steps from the link and check if it helps.
Eliminate duplicate files (applies to Windows 7)
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/eliminate-duplicate-files
Method 2:
Step 1: I would say as you follow the steps to start the computer in Mode safe and check if it helps.
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode
If the issue is not persistent, then follow the article to find the cause of the same thing.
Step 2: If the problem persists, I suggest you to place the computer in clean boot mode and check if the problem persists.
A clean boot to check if startup item or services to third-party application is causing this issue.
You can read the following article to configure the computer to boot:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135
Note: After the troubleshooting steps, see step 3 of the link to clean boot the computer to a normal startup mode.Method 3: If the problem persists, I suggest using Microsoft Safety scanner and check.
Microsoft safety scanner
http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx
Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again. The Microsoft Safety Scanner is not a replacement for the use of antivirus software that offers continuous protection. For a real-time protection that helps you keep your home or small office PC against viruses, spyware and other malicious software, download Microsoft Security Essentials.
Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.
Method 4: As you said it started recently, I suggest you follow the steps to complete the restore of the system and check if the problem persists.
What is system restore?
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/what-is-system-restore
System Restore: frequently asked questions
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/system-restore-frequently-asked-questions
Note: When you perform the system restore to restore the computer to a previous state, programs and updates that you have installed are removed.
I hope this helps. Try the above steps and get back to us for further assistance if you have questions about the Windows operating system. We will be happy to help you.

Hello, I get an urgent message to communicate a number of phone about my safari browser. Is it a scam? What is the official support of Safari Apple #? Thanks for your help?
It's a scam.
Force Quit Safari using the command + Option + ESC shortcut keyboard, then restart Safari while hiding the SHIFT key .
Then, to your Safari menu bar, click Safari > Preferences then select the Privacy tab, then click: delete all data of the website can leave then restart Safari.
That should eliminate the alert/scam.

No guarantee, but may be worth a try...Open the Task Manager / processes tab... End task on all instances of moviemk.exe
I was wondering... is this problem occurs after the computer has been restarted?

This happens when the former projects include transitions and effects which are
not included with Windows Live Movie Maker.Best bet IMHO... create new projects, or install earlier versions of Movie Maker.

One of the options from the menu in CS6 recently stopped working. This is the file-> file information... I see no more image information. How can I fix this?
Thank you
Frnak
See this thread: Info file gives me just a blank dialog box
The fix goes like this:
Create a new text file called XMP.cfg (make sure that the extension is cfg and not txt).
The only text that should be in this file is as below:
C:\
Copy the file C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\FlashPlayerTrust (create the directory if not already there).
Restart the Adobe application and review the file information panel.
