  There is a simpler way to achieve this:

  While being in the list of messages, press and hold SMS you want to answer. Choose the icons that appear on the right, the 3 vertical lines, then "send a text Message".

  You can then add additional recipients as much as you want.

This was published on deadcat and may still be available to the general public here. The problem is that it doesn't seem to work with BBPE.   What it means?  (Long story) I've recently updated to El Capitan 10.11.3 and also iTunes 12.3.2.35.  I have no game because it caused many problems for me.  I was happy to see 'Music' as a playlist that shows everything in iTunes is in this version.  The previous version I was using on OS 10.6.8 had that.

  Looking at the list of reading music I noticed that I had a duplicate song.  We were already in one of my playlists where it belongs, and I could click "Show in Finder."  The other version was not in a playlist and I can't "show in Finder".  The quality of this version is better that the copy that I have on my computer so I decided to put the other in the trash and move the best copy in the playlist where the other was.  But when I tried I get this.

  In your loop, I noticed that you frequently call message.getRecipients (...).  Not sure how long takes every call, but you can definitely optimize your code by calling which, once by setting a local variable on each iteration of the loop, then using this variable instead.
