I think I solved the problem by going into the QOS and preferably change Skype to high. Since I did it I tried to send video messages 2 and it worked. Could you tell me why that would make a difference?

  If you are allowing others to use the computer, set up a new account for each user.  They would then not be able to display your desktop or Skype messages.

  The sounds of it, I think you are saying there is no box to type in. I would say mine, but it clears the logs and settings that may not work either as Ruwim is a less destructive version of mine.

  Basically the same thing, press windows key + R, type in %AppData%, but instead of rename, simply remove the Skype and Skype_old. Last resort well.

  Ahh, I forgot about Hamachi... Yes... i've got networks it cause my PC is used as a server for Minecraft, so no, is not get uninstalled... If that blocks somehow Skype then I'm done, if this thing actually blocking Skype, needs of Microsoft to get their * together cause I won't start uninstalling programs to make their useless program work. That's like saying you have to downclock a graphics card than his stock clocks cause a game crashes if not downclocked... it will not happen.

  One of my friends uses instant messaging to windows 8. He was signed as a "non-visible". He sent a text to that me and I responded via Skype (version 6.3.0.105). No reply until what he asked me if I was there.
