MIC stop working; suspect driver but how to reinstall?

I have an Aspire M3 - 581T (Japanese model of ultrabook), which has a single Jack for microphone and speakers. I had never used an external mic with it, but agree with Skype occasionally with the microphone internal. Then the mic started to flake out - the first time, he left when I unplugged my speakers and then when I plugged the in. But not after that, he quit completely, and no amount of plug/unplug, restart, etc. won't fix it. Nothing is off or down or anything - I compared the parameters with a working PC and they look like. I thought that he had obtained just confused thinking that an external microphone has been connected, so I wondered if purchase and connect a real headphone microphone would get better, but it didn't; Indeed, the external microphone does not, either.

Now I'm in the States for a few months, and I'll be there until after that my warranty runs out, so I need to figure this on my own. (Acer US chat support page does not recognize my serial number.)  A tech to Fry suggested updating the driver for my sound card in order to update (such as reinstalling), but the automatic detector of upgrade in Device Manager indicates that my driver is already running, so he won't do anything. The sound card is apparently called "Realtek High Definition Audio", but the Web of Realtek site shows without the slightest trace of sound card drivers I could find, so I don't know how I could reinstall manually. Any suggestions are appreciated.

If you want to refresh or install a specific driver, then go back to Device Manager and expand the item (by clicking the sign +). Now, select the device, right click & Select 'uninstall '. Once done, restart your laptop. Windows will reinstall the driver as a new.

If this does not work, then save all your data and perform a complete reinstallation of Windows.

If, after that it still does not work, so I assumed that the item itself is at fault.

    Please do mention it below as follows to change the settings:

    Open Acrobat > click file > print > click on advanced > and check the box that says "Print as Image".

    Is the image of what 10 victory has been installed or win 7.  Obviously you can't restore an image to win 10 on win 7.

    While in SP2, all worked, but once the system to update to SP3, the game has stopped working.

    I had the same problem after buying the Logitech H330 Mic headset and use Windows XP with SP3.

    -Solution (at least for me):

    * Go to C:\WINDOWS\inf

    To find the WDMA_USB file. BAK

    * Rename this file WDMA_USB.inf

    * Use the Windows Update Wizard (from Device Manager', select the 'Logitech USB Headset"(with yellow exclamation mark), right click and select 'Update driver...) »)

    * Specify C:\WINDOWS\inf as a location to search for the driver

    * If you are lucky (I was / am!), Windows XP with SP3 will install the "Logitech USB Headset" as USB-audiodevice and you can select (and - finally - use) as audiodevice!

    A few weeks ago the mic on "speaker phone mode" on my phone stopped working.

    Go to the App help click test and see if you can test the microphone. Of it fail the test, you will need to contact your carrier for warranty repair.

    It was only in the last 2 days. Before no problem at all... I tried the clearing - cache, cookies, reinstalled et seq. restarted the computer. disabled each add-on individually. Started in safe mode.

    2 do you see anything unusual (yellow bang) in Device Manager?

    Assuming you are using XP (because the thread is in the XP category), I suggest you follow the steps below.

    Step 1: Use Device Manager to find the hardware changes
    Use Device Manager to find the hardware changes. After your computer search the hardware changes, it can recognize the USB device connected to the USB port so that you can use the device.

    To check the hardware changes, follow these steps:

    a. Click Start and then click Run.
    Note If you are running Windows Vista, click Start and then use the search box.
    b. type devmgmt.msc, and then click OK. Device Manager opens.
    (c) in Device Manager, click on your computer so that it appears highlighted.
    d. click Action and then click Scan for hardware changes.
    e. check the USB device to see if it works.

    Step 2: Remove and reinstall all USB controllers

    To remove and reinstall all USB controllers, follow these steps:

    a. Click Start, click Run, type sysdm.cpl in the Open box and then click OK.
    b. click on the Hardware tab.
    c. click the Device Manager button.
    d. expand Bus USB controllers.
    e. right click on each device under the Bus USB controllers node and then click on uninstall to remove them one at a time.
    f. restart the computer and reinstall the USB controllers.
    g. plug in the removable USB storage device and perform a test to ensure that the problem is solved.
