microphone headset no longer works

I can't record with microphone headset. Microphone is ok. I am on a network with my daughter. I inadvertently removed my Linksys module from the USB port while the power was on. Would he have my problem?

Hi Irish Sire,

1. using any program to record?

2. What is the number of brand and model of the microphone headphones?

3. is the headset microphone is recognized by Windows when connected to the computer?

Check and make sure that the microphone is set as the default recording on the computer device.

1. open the control panel and then click on her.

2. on the recording tab, click the model of your microphone, and then click set as default.

3. click on applyand then click OK.

I used a pair of headphones from Turtle Beach PLa as standard headphones with a microphone. I had only connected it via USB. I use a Toshiba Satellite L655-S5060 with Windows 7 Home Edition and they were working fine for months. But then just last night, I unplugged the on the accident, which normally isn't much, but when I reconnected it, the computer recorded, they were connected and are the main audio output, but would sound only comes out of the speakers. I tried the audio test and that would not work. After a bit of a panic attack, I downloaded a fix that was to solve this problem. There is no fix, and I tried to plug a pair of headphones Skull Candy. After that I did they worked and it was fine. So, I disconnected the determined to get a pair of ordinary headphones that plug into an outlet. I tried to plug the headset again and of course, the audio came out of speakers. I didn't know what to do.

For a story on my laptop, if it will help you, the battery wouldn't hold a charge, and we could not afford a new so I took it out and left for a few months, using the adapter as a power source. I had some water damage on it, and the keyboard does not work, so I use a Microsoft 2000 No. 1477 wireless keyboard model. Affected only water damage the keyboard. USB port on the right side of the laptop is loose and makes the keyboard disconnect if I move the USB connector. I tried to plug my headphones into the other USB ports, nothing works and I don't know what else I can do and I'm desperately afraid of breaking my phone more as it is, because we cannot afford a new for awhile.

  • dv4t headset no longer works and from the speakers rather

I had this problem several times, where all of a sudden the audio headphone stops and starts coming out of speakers. Even if I unplug the headphones and plug it back, the sound only comes out the speakers.

I guess it's a software problem, because if I go to the sound control panel and 'test' the communication device, I still hear the sound test in my helmet. It's only for everything, like youtube, games, music, coming out the speakers instead of headphones.

    I think I found a solution.

I uninstalled the IDT audio device codecs and when I restarted the laptop installed peripheral repel high-definition audio.

    Works very well so far.

  • Microphone no longer works for Skype on Fedora 21 4.3

Microphone is no longer recognized by Skype 4.3 after the latest updates for Fedora 21.

I already had to move from i586 RPM to dynamic package to get Skype to work at all - but he ultimately everything works including mic.

After the last update of Fedora 21, which included alsa and pulseaudio fixes, microphone no longer works in Skype. I tested several other applications that are configured to use pulseaudio like Audacity and Linphone, and the microphone works in each of them.

Answered my own question. On one of my machines the problem proved that Skype could use my microphone only if it was the only input device activated under PulseAudio. While other applications use fortunately some audio available, Skype seems to have been confused in the face of any kind of choice. The solution is to disable all other audio inputs and speficially to configure my external USB mic as the sole entry. In addition I had to change the Audio setting integrated full-duplex stereo analog stereo output analog.

I wasn't so lucky with my laptop, where I use the internal mic and therefore can't change Audio settings integrated (it must be defined as a Duplex for the microphone and speakers/headphones to work). For this reason, I am now unable to use Skype on my laptop. Accordingly, I am now exploring the possibility of using the SIP/XMPP voice and video with a client open source, which was too bad I was a customer/user of Skype for many years.

  • My internal microphone no longer works after that was plugged in a mic

    Hey guys!

I bought the HP Envy 13 spectrum (13-2113TU) earlier, and everything was smooth and functional until yesterday when I plugged it in one of these headphones with the MIC designed for phones in the 3.5 mm plug. For a second, that it did not work, but after that the external microphone worked fine. However, I find that after using the earphone, the internal microphone no longer works on Skype or any where else and it seems there is no way to test whether it is functional or not.

In the audio Panel, there is only the stereo mix and microphone option external availible under recording devices. I checked the boxes that says see the disabled and disconnected devices but there seems to be no way to activate the interal peak. All audio drivers are up to date and nothing is cut.

Nobody knows what is happening and what are the steps I could take to solve this problem. Thank you.

    Hi Shabab,

I understand that your internal microphone no longer works after that a microphone is plugged into your HP Envy 13 of spectrum. If you follow this document on the microphone does not work after a webcam or a microphone USB is installed, it should solve your problem.

  • X 51 headset does not work after nearly three years of work very well

I got my X 51 since August 2014 with no problems. Since a few days ago, the microphone on my headset (Vibration of genius) has stopped working. The headphones work fine.

I tried the front of rear catch and two different helmets - even. Same headphones on different external co work very well.

Manage Audio, micro devices has the default value. Nothing is cut according to the levels.

Downloaded the latest drivers from Realtek, run the installer twice (which uninstalls and reinstalls) - no change.

When I go to hardware and audio, he has his usual - manage Audio devices, where I did these things. There is also a NVidia control panel with a tab to Set Up Digital Audio, but that just seems to post a link to the Audio devices to manage. Under hardware and sound, there is also an Alienware Audio option (which I don't remember seen before), but still, nothing is cut.

I tested the microphone on the recording of the acoustic window tab, but no green lines rise when I talk. I also tried a video game, with in-game talk (Mechwarrior Online), no luck there. I also tried the call sound test on Skype, no luck there.

    I'm not sure things:

I have three listed under record on my acoustic window: Microphone, Line In and Stereo Mix - the other two are disabled...?

I read something that suggested to uninstall the driver manually and reinstall, but I know not where to do. For example, according to uninstall programs, I see an Nvidia HD Audio Driver 1.3.34.3 which was installed a couple of days - very probably the same day that my microphone no longer works. There is actually a half dozen NVidia components installed so far-should I just uninstall all?

I read a suggestion on these forums about ePSA running, so I did - and not that fast - and he said no problems.

I tried the system restore to two days ago, has not always worked. (I'm trying to overthrow that now)

Only options I can think are either use AlienRespawn to reset to the factory settings, and if it does not, in my view, that I still have the Alienware W7 install disc - could start all over again.

Any other suggestions before I resort to that?

    1. There were two jacks for headphones and microphone - which is analog?

    2. I plugged a microphone to the USB - a literal hand micro - and it worked!

3 do suggest that material analog microphone is broken?

    4. maybe a USB headset work until I get fixed t?

    1 Yes
    2. right kind USB still works. Microphones and USB based headsets do not use the analog sound card hardware at all. They use the circuits of USB and USB-Audio corresponding to the device drivers.
    3. Yes.
    4. Yes. Apart from the replacement of the motherboard, it would be the solution. They make nice Helmets on USB gaming these days here.
  • Lighting control and microphone headset disconnects on iPhone 7 more

    Here's my question:

I use headphones a lot. While driving, my desk at work etc.

I have an iPhone 7plus and have lightning of headset connected, is I let them cool for a long period of time, I can hear this sound as a click. Once this click occurs, mic/line controls stop working, but I can still hear notifications and music.

I can restore the connection just unplug the headphones and plug their folder in. My fear is that this is some kind of energy saving function, but I'm not sure.

Does anyone else have this problem?

    I'm having the same problem.

After sitting idle for a few minutes there is a pop sound and then controls no longer work until the headphones are disconnected and re connected.

This problem also affects the mic which means that if you get a phone call and try to answer through the helmet, the person at the other end will be unable to hear you.

I'm afraid unplug and re - connect the headphones will cause unnecessary wear on the port of lightning and the helmet.

Hope that soon, there is a fix for this problem.

  • Qosmio X 500: power adapter no longer works no reason

    Hello

Now I have my Qosmio X 500 for a year and I love it, however I have little problems with it, and I would like to know if it can be problematic.

The first thing is that my adapter stopped working without reason,
So I bought a new but always makes the noise when the laptop was completely responsible.
I know people with the same laptop and their adapter did not have that sizzling noise, looks like it was already since the beginning.

Then I have a dead pixel in the middle of my screen, no problem for me.

Finally, my screen is a bit loose in the laptop, when I close, I can move it, it always seems as if it was not now is a good place because when I close it normally is not 100% horizontal...
Also when I replace my screen, my speakers make crackling and my webcam no longer works.

So all these problems I annoy me, especially the last one (problem webcam and speakers), can he adapt in the laptop warranty? I extend the one year warranty...

    Thanks in advance.

    > The first thing is that my adapter stopped working for no reason,.
    > So I bought a new but always makes the noise when the laptop was completely responsible.

I think it's AC adapter fault may be a broken cable or something like that I recommend you replace this get in touch with the dealer and request a new.

    > So I have a dead pixel in the middle of my screen, no problem for me.

I found info on issues such as:
+ Information about the tolerance of failure of the technology and pixel of the screen for LCD screens
    + http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB9502LZ0000R02.htm

    > Finally my screen is a bit loose in the laptop, when I close, I can move it, it always seems as if it was not now is a good place because when I close it normally is not 100% horizontal... Also when I replace my screen, my speakers make crackling and my webcam no longer works.

Maybe you should ask technicians for Toshiba laptop for checking maybe a few screws or hinges are detached.
The speakers should be checked with a wired headset. If you don't see the same crackling noise use a headset, so the problem could be related to speakers

  • My external headset will not work

I have 4pc turtle beach headphones and I try to use it on my Dell Inspiron 1545. It is not a headphone port, but is equipped with headphone jacks and the microphone. I bought a converter for it. The speaker on the headset works fine, but I can't get the microphone to work. I tried enabling the Microphone / line device and it does not work. someone help me get this working please.

Hello. Open the recording of the sound Properties tab if you have Vista or Win 7.

Search for the words 'IDT High Definition Codec' - this means that your IDT driver is installed. If you don't see "High definition Audio Device" then go to the Inspiron 1545 download page, select your operating system and get your IDT audio driver and install it.

Right click on Mic/line-in and set as the default recording device. Right click on mic/line-in and click Properties, and then click the levels tab set the level and the micro amp.

Go to control panel > display by icons > IDT Audio Control Panel and see if there is an option to allow pop-up windows. If so, check it. Plug the microphone and then select mic as the configuration of the plug

Test using Windows Sound Recorder. If the microphone still does not work then try reinstalling the audio driver IDT. If still no luck, you can test the plug try another microphone. You can test your headset & adapter on another computer.

  • Microphone jack does not work on the new Latitude E6320 with Windows 7

None of the microphones in the studio work with our new E6320 Latitude. We tested the mics with mono, stereo cards taken, microphones headphones cheap and expensive studio microphones and none of them work or show a signal in windows 'Recorder' setting 'Jack Mic.

This model has a single Jack that is supposed to be a headphone microphone combination plug, but it seems to work only as a headphone jack.

Each microphone works very well when plug us into the power mic separated on the dock, but naturally I would rather not connect a dock autour.

Has anyone experience this problem and have a fix? (I've already spent hours reloading drivers and talk to Dell 'Or' technical support but without success.)

    Thank you

This model has a single Jack that is supposed to be a headphone microphone combination plug, but it seems to work only as a headphone jack.

JJ, these types of jacks work with smart phone helmets that have a segment 4 plug instead of the normal 3 segments. It is unfortunate that they are put in computers. When used with normal cameras they will work as you described, headset will work but micro cards will not mate properly with contacts. You must use an adapter that you will find if you do a search under smart phone cards. One of them is the boyfriend of "helmet".
