Microphone is not record audio (my voice) during the recording of videos!

So, today I went to check on some of my video files to modify and at their reading, I heard no noise. I was confused by this because in the past, my microphone was fine and should record audio without a problem. But all of a sudden it stopped working at all, at least for the record there. When I'm in Skype calls, my microphone seems to work because I can be heard. But when I try and save, my microphone is not working. I record with Fraps and tried a lot of different options within the system itself. I tried "His file Win7" stereo and surround, and two of them did not work. I even went to Skype call testing service to see if my microphone still worked, and when it reproduces the audio I could hear myself using the microphone. Please help me because I don't know what the problem is!

Edit: Forgot to say that I tried to record with no microphone but the eternal mic and I have all his be picked up when recording, but when I tested it with Skype, I could hear audio.

Re Edit: So I tried later and tested with my microphone and could not hear any audio, but when I used the computer's microphone, I could hear audio! So that leads me to believe that my mic is broken, but I can't be sure.

    Did you change your computer before this problem?

    Try the following steps to cross check if the microphone is correct.

    a. Click Start, type mmsys.cpl in the search box and press ENTER.

    b. in the sound dialog box, click the recording tab.

    c. click Microphone, and then click Properties.

    Note: Make sure that the work appears under Microphone. If the job does not appear, click Microphone, and then click on set as default.

    d. in the properties of the Microphone dialog box, click the custom tab.

    e. turn on or off the amp Microphone check box.

    f. click the levels tab adjust the slider for the volume to the desired level and then click OK.

    g. click OK to close the sound dialog box.

  • Microphone is not picking up my voice correctly

    For some reason unknown, crazy, my microphone is not properly pick up my voice.

    My helmet is the Razer Carcharias http://www.razerzone.com/store/razer-carcharias-for-xbox-pc
    (the link I provide is actually a newer version of what I have. Mine is not for the XBox, PC only. "The thing about node controller in the middle of the string is different, not that it makes much difference.)

    I feel that I've done all the possible troubleshooting it is possible, and I can not find the problem.

    My microphone is picked up and recognized, but when I speak, it only picks up no sound except if I set my mouth right up against the microphone.

    I am putting together a course and I have an audio welcome that plays automatically when the user starts the course. Since this slide contains a list of the modules that will be ongoing, I would also like to the use it as a navigation option - click on the link 'Menu' on any slide and return to this page.

    Set your audio welcome to an object that is not seen (e.g. a highlight area set to 0%) and use your stocks advanced and variable to HIDE this object ON SLIDE ENTER if the user comes back in the same Menu slide at a later stage in the course module.

    This should mean that the first time that the user gets to this slide, the audio will play.  But every subsequent hour, they come back on this slide, the object will be hidden immediately on entering the slide, which means that the audion does not play and sees all users are the menu options.

    Your alternative strategy would be to have two slides that look almost the same.  The first has the audio, and the other does not.  Your TOC for Menu item and all other links in the project that point to the Menu, go to the second slide without audio.  The user no longer wise will also be long as you train to navigation.

    I'm having a problem getting my new 3.5 mm microphone to work properly. The microphone is plugged in correctly in either taking rose in the back or the front of the case, but no sound is recorded. I checked the menu sounds through "Manage Audio devices" in the control panel and Yes, the green bars are moving. All levels are up, nothing is cut. I looked in the Realtek Audio Manager and the recording level is maxed out as well. The only thing that is cut is the Volume of reading to the Realtek program (reactivate this only causes the microphone continuously power the speakers and has no record effect). I checked several programs (steam, Windows Sound Recorder, Teamspeak, Mumble) and bars green all spend in each, but still no sound is transmitted. The microphone was working on a Skype test call, it worked on another computer, and I used USB microphones without problem on this machine before, so I'm fairly certain that this is not a hardware problem. Please help, I can't find anything else that I could turn the sound back on!
