  Hey, I don't know exactly know what happened with my phone. Suddenly, my microphone work on LINE, Whatsapp and almost all other applications that use mic. Except, camera and when someone call me on my number.

  But it does not work on whatsapp and LINE calls. And it also does not work when I snapchat. Only works on the default camera Apps and call through my number.

  I tried:

  -restart my phone

  -hard reset and blink? Reset with the power and the "home" button.

  -read the micro support page. Still no solution.

  TL; Dr:

  my microphone does not work on every apps on my phone except calls through number and approx. of default camera it gives you just that silence when I play it on voice notes. But it works when I record yourself using videos on the default camera app.

  I see from your post, some applications have a problem to access your Microphone. I know how it is important to ensure that your applications have access to the Microphone and can use this feature. I have a few things I want to try.

  First, tap Settings on your iPhone and then scroll to the last section that lists your apps. Select the applications that use the microphone and make sure that the Microphone is activated (green).

  Then, follow the steps in the article below to close these applications:

  Force a nearby application on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch

  Then, test the microphone in these applications again and see if it works.

  Try resetting your device. This will not erase your data stored on that device.

  • Press and hold the sleep/wake button
  • Press and hold the Home button
  • Press and hold both buttons until the display turns off and on again with the Apple logo on the subject.

  Alternatively, you can go to settings - general - reset - Reset all settings

  If that doesn't work, restore your device to factory settings. Please note that this will delete the data on your device.

  As a final step, try recovery mode. Turn off your unit, then plug it to your computer with the hold home button. Hold down Home button until you see the logo of iTunes on the screen of your device. After that on your computer, you should see the iTunes window saying that your device needs to be restored to factory settings. Click Restore.

• Germinate by HP: bought a sprout of HP and the microphone does not work

  I bought a HP pushes about five months ago. I recently discovered that the microphone is not working when I tried to use it on an application that I have. It's windows 10 and always up to date. I tried to download the audio drivers from the HP site, but that did not help. I've also given to plant affecting several times, but this has not fixed the problem.   Can you please explain what microphone is not working means?
  You may need to activate the microphone amplifier in the audio settings of Windows.

  In addition, you must update the driver sound and webcam. Micro is a part of the webcam and if this driver needs to be updated too.

  As I m not wrong not the internal mic belongs to the internal webcam.
  From my understanding, you need to activate the webcam in Windows settings

  Open the camera app Point to the lower-right corner of the screen, move the pointer of the mouse to the top and then click settings. Click on Options. Here, you can adjust the settings for each option.

  As I m not wrong there, you should be able activate the microphone on or off.
  Finally if you want to use this microphone, you must set its default value in the sound? recording device tab.

  It's very strange. I installed Windows XP Home SP2 on Satellite U300 edition. It's the same laptop fine but a bit smaller and in my case works cam and microphone. I tested it with Skype. The sound quality is not very good, but it works.

  Are you trying to test also with Skype? Did you check the sound options?

  The internal MIC is part of the webcam module.
  What happens if you start the webcam, try saving and small clip? The sound recording is this too?

  Usually, you can change the recording devices in Control Panel-> sound-> recording tab
  Here, you can check what devices are available. Right click and check if hidden and disabled devices can be demonstrated.

  By the way: I had some problems with the playback of the sound after installing the Realtek audio driver. I uninstalled the Realtek audio driver and Device Manager remove the audio display Intel (in games, field audio video controller). In the peripheral zone system you could remove the controller high definition audio.
  Again, restart the laptop.

  Usually, removing devices should be recognized automatically. Then go again to the dashboard-> sound-> recording tab and check if other devices outside external microphone are available.

  I tried to use Skype but my microphone is not working, I have re-installed all the drivers but it's always the same, I click with the right button on the icon on the system tray sounds and opens "recording devices", and it seems to detect a microphone (device Realtek HD audio by default), but still no sound.   Have you tried to record a short clip using the internal webcam and webcam Windows application?
  If this isn't the case, that the built-in webcam is supported by the built-in microphone and it s able to record video and audio.

  I guess that you can not use the internal mic in relation to the Skype due to the wrong settings. As far as I know it of possible to change the settings of the microphone in Skype.

  I can't say with certainty what may be wrong here, but two things confuse me:
  -somehow your external MIC is obviously not detected because in the case when the external microphone is connected laptop switches automatically to it
  -I don't understand why there are two identical entries under recording devices.

  When I connect my headphone it is always a single entry (Conexant SmartAudio HD default unit), but my machine automatically goes to the external microphone only.

  Have you tested the feature with some applications like Skype?

  This means that you have installed Win7 using original recovery image?
  If you have installed the own version of Win7 have you installed the software of webcam too?
