    Hello

I'm using Labview 2009 for storing the date & time of microsoft database but I get an error (0x80040E57), which specifies that the field is too small to accept the amount of data, I'm trying to enter. A screenshot of the error message and the VI is put in an attachment. Please suggest a solution for this.

    Thank you

    Guilhem

    Hi Marion,.

I looked a bit in question and found that the error occurs when one of your columns of database is too small to contain the data that you are trying to (see page 236 of this PDF). The data initially a problem is going to be one of the strings that you are trying to insert. I guess you circled in red is the origin of the problem.

I found a client who had a very similar problem. Here's how, he said, he has solved this problem:

I found the problem. The problem that you said was in the database. The "Date" column in the database table has been specified to enter 9 characters only. So when I ran the program on 12/02/2011 it ran for a week until 2011-12-09 23:59. So 2 to December 9, the total for the date format characters were 9 (if you add them) but as soon as the date changed to 12/10/2011 at 12:00 midnight the total number of characters were 10 (more than 9) and that's why he stopped at 23:59 on 09/12/2011. I changed the number of characters to 10 now and its working very well.

Then you can check your database to make sure that it is large enough to accept this entry.

    I hope this helps.

    PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME

Problem is on my MacBook Pro (13-inch, mid-2012)

Running OS X El Capitan 10.11.6

Summer read your responses on other threads of hours but I can't seem to fix mine.

I just tried to do my small MAC drive through disk utility, I shrunk the size of the disk of my mac partition.

I still see "BOOTCAMP Windows" in Preferences > floppy boot, but when I restart in Windows I get a can not find disc blackscreen/error and it tells me to insert my Windows disk which I did not.

When I restart the 'option' key now just the MAC HD.

I'm curious as to the viability of using FileVault on my OS X and Bitlocker partition on my bootcamp partition. I tried before with apparent success on Windows 8.1 and tried again today with Windows 10, using the EFI System.

  • Bootcamp (Win10) has not started after you changed the partition and updated at El Cap.

I have a MacBook Pro (retina, 15 inches, end of 2013), 2 GHz Intel Core i7 with 8 GB of Ram.

I had 2 system installed, Win 10 + Yosemite from the windows of beginning and the use of most of the time.

Yesterday, I ran out of disk space and passed the partition in OS X with disk utility.

While I changed the partition and I also upgraded to the El Cap.

After all, I can't start by winning 10 more, although I could see my windows in the startup disk Control Panel.

I checked some thread here and mess with command autour terminal, but nothing has worked for me.

  • Repair Boot (Bootcamp)

    Dear members of the Forum,

in the past, lonely T helped me already once for this problem - but I need help once again.

    The original plan:

I wanted to extend my Bootcamp partition by stealing some capacity from the OS X partition.

That day, I was running on Mavericks and WIN7.

Apparently, it's destroying my Partitiontable so I was no longer able to boot the WIN7.

Thank you again here for lonely T advised how how to solve this problem.

It is running stable - but never, I continued the work. There was still the empty partition between OS X and WINDOWS.

Recently, I upgraded WIN7 to WIN10 - no problems later.

When I upgraded now also at EL CAPITAN - the BOOTCAMP partition no longer appear in the start menu (ALT key at startup).

Also my old solitary subject with T disappeared - so I need to ask for help again here. Can T lonely or someone else help me?

I'm not an expert - as you can read above :-)

Searching this forum I found at least that I have to provide the result of some commands - what I'll do in the below.

Please: help me return to Bootcamp/Windows and also to extend the Bootcamp partition by merging the empty space in this one.

    Thank you very much!!!

    Hi TheCrowTL,

From your description, it seems that you are no longer able to boot on your Windows partition after installing the upgrade to OS X El Capitan. I'd be happy to give some instructions to help you with this.

As a first step, I recommend to use Boot Camp Assistant to remove Windows and the Windows from your Mac partition, restore your boot to a single Mac partition drive. Take a look at the article below for more information:

Set up Windows on your Mac - Apple Support partition

    Delete the partition

Use the Boot Camp Assistant to remove Windows and the Windows from your Mac partition, restore your boot to a single Mac partition drive. You can save your information first, because the removal of the partition erases all data it contains.

    1. Open Boot Camp Assistant.
    2. Select "remove Windows 7 or later", then click on continue.
    3. Do one of the following:
      • If your Mac has a single drive internal, click on restore.
      • If your Mac has several internal drives, the Windows disk, select 'Restore the disk to a single OS X partition' Select to continue.

Once you complete this step, you can follow the instructions here to get Windows installed using Boot Camp:

How to install Windows using Boot Camp - Apple Support

    Take care!

  • Bootcamp after upgrade went Win10

Running Win 7 on El Capitan on my MBP 2011 end 17 "for months, then awoke to find that Windows has automatically upgraded to Win10. Everything was very good, but had lost the Bluetooth device. I rebooted to Mac to try sorting this side here and then BCA did not show any current partition of BC.
