Microsoft Kernel System Audio Device fails

I can't get my sound to work. There is a yellow (!) in the sound, video and game controllers drop-down tree the file listed as "unknown device" when I try to reinstall the driver The Microsoft Kernel System Audio Device fails. Can anyone help?

The place where you install the drivers from... Whatever it is, the BIOS is configured to use

integrated audio device or sound card... Once set, real-tek on board equipment

requires the software either specifically for its hardware, go to real tek for it. If this is a sound card

I uninstalled the sound card, updated drivers... everything I could find... nothing worked. I run only Vista 32 bit with a Realtek AC 97 integrated sound. Looked on the forums and read and I tried for weeks hoping to not have to reformat. Finally, I got in the registry and lucky. Here's what I did: Device Manager: uninstalled all the sound stuff. • New device failed, HD Audio after installing updates to Win 8.1

    Hello.

I have installed recent updates from Toshiba, exactly:

and one of them has forced the creation of a new audio device, fails with 'STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE '.

I tried to remove it (and uninstall related drivers to) the device, but it reappears if I do the new hardware detection.

    What is?
    The drivers are Microsoft, 6.3.9600.16384

    Thank you very much
    Marco

    Hi Marco

As I can see from another thread, you Satellite L50-A-1CU. According to the specifications of the laptop this laptop was offered with pre-installed 64 bit ML WIN8.1.
Preinstalled OS contains all the necessary drivers, tools and utilities, so I want to ask you if there is a problem with the feature.

Please don't get me wrong, but I use laptop 4 years but always with the original substance of preinstalled and everything works perfectly so I don't see the reason to change anything if the machine works well and pre-installed OS is stable.

One last thing. Do not use the Microsoft drivers. Some of them are offered as optional Windows updates. Don change anything. Use the original Toshiba drivers only.

  • Satellite Pro M70-220: Microsoft Kernel DLS driver reinstall

I'm having a problem with the "Microsoft kernel DLS synthesizer" (on my laptop Satellite Pro M70-220).
that very well, I would appreciate some help to solve.

My questions are in * "BOLD" type * at the bottom of this post.

In the device under the "Sound, video controller & games" Manager type of device, I found a yellow exclamation point
mark against "The Microsoft kernel DLS synthesizer".

When I right click on the entry for device 'Microsoft Kernel DLS Syntheizer' and select 'Properties', the
more info is given under the general tab:

    Microsoft kernel DLS synthesizer
Device type: sound, video controller & game
    Location: Location 0
Device status: Windows cannot load the driverfor of this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or
    missing (Code 39)
Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device.

Before clicking on the resolution of the problems, I checked the info on the "Driver" tab, which is:

    Microsoft kernel DLS synthesizer
    Driver provider: Microsoft
    Driver date: 01/07/2001
    Driver version: 5.1.2535.0
Digital signer: Microsoft Windows component Publisher

When I click on the button "Driver Details" tab driver, the information given is:

    Microsoft kernel DLS synthesizer

    Driver files:
    C:\Windows\System32\drivers\D.music.sys
    C:\Windows\System32\drivers\lvusbsta.sys
    C:\Windows\System32\drivers\Tvs.sys

    Provider: Microsoft Corp.
    File version: 5.1.2600.5512(xpsp.080413-2018)
    Digital signer: Microsoft Windows Publisher

On the 'Détails' tab in the properties box, the given info is:

    Microsoft kernel DLS synthesizer
    Device ID of Instance
    \DMUSIC SW\ {8C07DD50-7A8D-11D2-8F8C-00C04FBF8FEF}

    * Troubleshooting: *.
When I click on the "store" on the general tab, a page "Toshiba Help & Support" is displayed.
who gives the instructions to uninstall and reinstall the device. Uninstallation instructions are simple:

Go to Device Manager > right to uninstall click Device > click Surdesinstaller > in the "withdrawal of the device confirm.
    Dialog box, click OK.

My concern is with the "relocation of the device" instructions, which are:

Close all programs > start the Add Hardware Wizard > click Next and Windows Search Plug &
    Play devices.
If no device Plug & Play are found, a list of devices appears > click on "Add a new hardware device" > click Next > click
"manually install the hardware that I select in a list" > click Next > in the "Common material Type" list
Click the appropriate device category > click Next > in the manufacturers list, click the manufacturer of your
device > in the "Models" list, click the name of the model OR click "have a disk, if you have an update or
the manufacturer provided to install for your device driver > click Next and follow the instructions in the wizard
    to complete the installation.

    * Issues: *.

    * 1. What is "Microsoft DLS synthesizer" and what is its role? *

    * 2. Is "Microsoft DLS synthesizer" a device of internal device, as opposed to a 'Plug and Play '? *

    * 3. With respect to relocation instructions: *.
    * - what category of device "Microsoft DLS synthesizer" would be listed under? *
    * - in the list of "models", what the "model name" would be for the "synthesizer DLS of Microsoft? *

    * - for 'Disc' alternative option, where can I get/download a update or provided by the manufacturer *.
    * driver for "Microsoft DLS Synthesizer" of? *

    * - one disc 'a' Wizard allow you to select the folder on the hard disk that contains the *.
    * Downloaded (s)? *

Note: I'm leaving the principle that the driver is corrupted so I'll have to download and install
    the uncorrupted driver.

    * Please indicate if there are any other installation information that I'm aware of.*

Thank you very much for any assistance anyone who can offer.

    Hello

I've never heard of the Microsoft kernel DLS synthesizer and that's why I studied a bit.

I found this MS developer site:
    http://msdn.Microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa940369.aspx

    It is said:
The component of the Microsoft kernel DLS synthesizer provides the port of DMusic, content class miniport driver in the dmusic.sys file

It seems that most of the problems with this kernel occur due to lack of SP2.
If you have installed Windows XP you need to update the operating system to the State.
All service packages must be installed!

  • Audio Device notfound & PCI on Aspire One device driver problem

Okay, better control the HardwareIDs, seems to be the microsoft high definition audio device.

Fix Microsoft is necessary above all to the HD, device drivers are installed, but the patch will not pass on windows XP SP2 computers.

    See link: http://support.microsoft.com/hotfix/KBHotfix.aspx?kbnum=888111&kbln=en-us

Open Device Manager by typing the command devmgmt.msc. Select sound, video and game controllers.

If no driver installed uninstall one by one.

Open the registry editor and navigate to the following location

    HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Windows\

Change the CSDVersion value to 200. Restart the computer

    Download the Microsoft patch kb888111xpsp2.exe

    See link: http://support.microsoft.com/hotfix/KBHotfix.aspx?kbnum=888111&kbln=en-us

After updating the patch install the audio drivers for the system.

    Restart the computer.

    Open the Registry Editor again.

Locate the HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Windows path and replace the old CSDVersion value is in a 300 words.

  • Problem with the driver for Audio device high definition

I have a Windows 7, 64-bit, Studio 1558. When I started the computer about a week ago, I was a message that the Service Notification of system events cannot connect. I checked the event log and found error 7022, where it says that the audio device was suspended. After some research and experimentation, I made the error go away by turning off the (Microsoft) High Definition Audio Device Driver, Version 6.1.7601.17514. However, now I have no sound. I tried updating the audio driver for my computer (IDT 92HD73C1 Audio, v.6.10.0.6267, A18), but this doesn't seem to work, and now I returned to a previous restore point to go back to square one. I'm not sure what caused the problem. Some said similar positions that he was leaving headphones plugged to power off the computer. others said that the use of cmd-> "netsh winsock reset" would solve the problem (of least temporarily). Any of these seemed to help me. Basically all I want to do is to install a sound device driver that works. I hope someone can point me in the right direction to do so. Thanks for any help provided.

I can't say that if you were not able to install the driver IDT or if you installed but got the same error message.

If the first case, try to download one of the files directly from the ftp server of DellIDT.

If the latter, if you get the same symptoms with the IDT pilot and the native Windows (high definition Audio Device) driver so it is difficult to see the drivers as the cause of the problem, because it is rare that two drivers have the same failure at the same time. Here's how to switch between the 2 pilots:

    1. open Device Manager (type devmgmt.msc in the start search box and press ENTER) and right click on IDT High Definition Audio Codec.
2 Select this option to "Update driver software".
    3. click on "Browse my computer for driver software".
    4. click on "Let Me pick from a list of drivers on my computer".
    5. put the "Show compatible hardware" check box if not already checked.
    6. in the list of devices, click on 'High Definition Audio'.
    7. click on "next".
    8. in the update driver warning box, click 'Yes' (the driver).
9 restart the portable computer if you are prompted. If not invited, so no need to restart.

To reverse the process, change the names in steps 1 and 6.

  • This device cannot start (Code 10) - high definition Audio Device AND opening. VHD files.

Just upgraded from Vista professional to Home Premium 7.  (Which means that I couldn't have the installationl UPDATE and had to go for CUSTOM).  In hindsight, not a good idea!
    1. no sound from speakers.  I tried updated driver.  Problem is with the Microsoft high definition Audio Device.  Using T9404 of advent, Intel R, HD 400 G, 1 G of RAM.  Speakers are not muted and sound card worked fine with Vista.

His problem solved.  For the benefit of others in the same boat, that's what I did.
After trying everything I could think of, I had another look at the system clean.
    Computer >
    Drive C (double click) >
    Request >
    Driver >
    Sound >
Select Configuration, right-click, choose Run as administrator >
Wizard starts, select 'Reinstall using your computer settings' >
    Reset.
Hey its nice and presto!  (Which almost took off my head, because I had forgotten that the speakers were entirely upwards).
Shows Device Manager now that one mistake, on the network controller - anyone has any information about it, what it does, what application it is associated with etc.
