  Your the POP and SMTP server names, are wrong. That is why it is said 'host not found '.
  Who is your ISP (Internet Service Provider), the cable company that connects you to the internet?
  Or what is your SECOND half of your e-mail address starting with the symbol @, for example mine is * address email is removed from the privacy *.
  Those who are required to determine what your server names are supposed to be.

  Help!  I use Microsoft Mail for several years and had no problems.  When I first got my laptop, I created my user ID and password and from that moment, I never had to enter the usr ID or the password.   2. What is your antivirus (AV) software?

  Find out if your AV has option of electronic analysis. If Yes, is it turned on? If so, please disable it. If this does not help, please temporarily disable your antivirus software. See if the problem goes away.

  I am able to add my accounts (I have a yahoo and gmail) but they are not connected. Connection doctor says its an error with IMAP and SMTP. I also have trouble with the addition of outlook. I also installed Outlook 2016 and yahoo and gmail also have problems connecting through the IMAP and SMTP.

  First of all, make sure you have an active Internet connection by opening a web browser and try to use your accounts through their webmail interface.

  If it works, so be sure that you are on a reliable WiFi network (for example, at home) which does not block e-mail protocols.

  And finally, if you have any security antivirus or other software installed on your Mac, then remove it completely according to the manufacturer's instructions, restart and then try to add your accounts again.
