Microsoft calls customers to warn them that their computer is showing defects?
I was contacted twice in the last 3 days of a call center, claiming that they are from Microsoft and they discovered that my computer is showing the flaws. I asked them to send me an email instead and warned, I got her phone number and should be to the police.
I suspect that it is a phishing scam. Who would have my phone number with regard to my computer?
Somehow I can check, I'm not wrong and look into this further? It is not Microsoft and whatever they are, they try to rip you off. Search in this forum for the words scam and the phone.
If they call again just tell them that you don't even have a PC. See how fast they cling.

I received a call today a stone that identified himself as Windows Support calls. He informed me that my Windows program was in danger of crashing, and if I went on my computer immediately he could walk me through the steps to correct this situation. I refused, and he said he'll call again tomorrow. I also Norton Antivirus installed on my computer, and according to the latest analysis today, there is no serious problems. So, my question would be support personnel Tech Windows do actually contact customers or should I consider this a scam?
Thank you

This a complete scam and one that has become very common these days. . Don't think anything such a caller said, do nothing that he tells you to do and hang up on him immediately.
At let them into your computer? If you did you are at serious risk for what they could have done it (installed spyware? Steal the passwords?), and I highly recommend that you do the two following:
1 reinstall Windows properly
2. change all your passwords, especially those of the financial institutions and online stores.

original title: Flash Player
I have installed Adobe Flash Player on my PC (Vista), and every time I want the internet ((spécifiquement ferme ville,, sur facebook)) a box appears and tells me that there is a problem with an add-on that was installed called flash10c.ocx. How can I solve this problem? I tried everything I could think of. I deleted my cookies (and Add-ons), re-installed Adobe Flash Player and nothing works.
What browser are you using IE or Firefox or others? Sometimes special versions of Flash are required for browsers, and besides, IE 64-bit does not support modules including Flash, she, that is to say, it takes the 32-bit version, even on a 64-bit machine.
Take a look at IE / tools / manage add-ons and make sure that 'Shockwave Flash Object' is enabled.
Check that you downloaded the correct version in the first place.

* O.T. > phone call
I received a phone call today (a third) saying that my computer has been hacked and that they need to get into my system to make the necessary repairs. They have stated that they are from Microsoft but I didn't honestly believe that. Has anyone else had these calls?
Thousands have and you have reason to be wary.

Original title: I will take a phone call from "Windows Care" telling me that my computer was sending Windows messages. He wanted to access my computer to solve the problem. Is anyone aware of this company?
Does anyone got a call from 213-221-3528 "Windows Care"? I received a phone call from "Windows Care" telling me that my computer was sending Windows messages. I had some problems with error messages saying that there is an unknown device on my computer. The care Windows person wanted access to my computer to solve the problem. I would not grant him permission until I have check this. Everyone is aware of this company and it is legitimate?
It is most certainly NOT legitimate. There are a great many scams running right now, in many countries around the world, with similar claims. None of them believe. Microsoft never call unless you called first and made arrangements for a recall to work.

I just got a phone call from microsoft? to say you need to get your computer fixed. We can fix this for you if you do as we say to your computer?
It wasn't Microsoft. It is a scam and that is becoming more and more common lately. But
even worse, if you let them into your computer, who knows what damage they did here or what confidential information they stole.
So, if you did. I highly recommend that you do both of the following immediately:
1 do a clean reinstall of Windows.
2. change all your passwords, especially all of banks or other financial sites.

Got a call this morning asked them to remember. Is this really windows calls or just another scam
Too right, I got a call telling me that my computer sends a signal any or information to Microsoft. The person told me that I needed to give him permission to take control of my computer to solve the problem. Telephone number presented themselves as unavailable on my caller ID. I told him that I didn't believe him and that my security program showed no problems. I hung up on him. I do not provide any information.

A Microsoft agent called me and told me that I need to renew my license windows
A person who is called an agent called me this morning and told me that I need to renew my license of windows 7. The operating system provided with the computer when I bought it from Tigerdirect (and he got his inventory directly from asus) and I think he has a great chance of being a scam. He said a life time license costs $100 and I want to ask you if Microsoft really has this kind of agents and if I should trust him?
There are a lot of these current scams. Microsoft does not make unsolicited calls:
