• Photoshop - combine images channel purple and green in a fused image?

  My molecular biology laboratory trying to image fusion from a Confocal Microscope batch.  The microscope uses lasers to view different parts of a sample in a number of channels.

  For each sample, there are two corresponding channels at each level.  We try all these corresponding images merge into one combined image.  The image fusion process is simple; However, we must do this 150 - 250 times for each sample and we have several samples.

  I found an old post on the forum (Photoshop - combine images red and green layer in a fused image? ) which causes the writing a script for exactly this.  However, the script does not work for me.  I'm new to using scripts in photoshop and would appreciate greatly all possible assistance.

  Basically, everything I changed code original was the '_r' to '_ch00' and '_g' to '_ch01 '.  Thinking that the only difference between the original message and mine was the file name.  I executed the script in Adobe ExtendScript ToolKit.  The code is not able to go beyond the line 15 without the error "opening is not a function".

  I tried to save the script and try it out in photoshop in any case and I get the error code "error 8800: general Photoshop error occurred." Maybe this feature is not available in this version of photoshop.  -The 'Apply Image' command is not currently available. Line 41-> executeAction (CharIDToTypeID ('Appl'), desc, DialogModes.NO); »

  I honestly don't know enough about coding to know even where to begin to fix this problem.  Any direction would be much appreciated!

  I use photoshop CS5.  I think I found the problem, however.  The files needed to be converted to RGB index for the script is running.  Seems to work fine now.  Thanks for the reply!

  The title pretty much sums this up, but I will here is more in depth history:

  I downloaded a program for PC tune-up of AVG (I had used them before anti-virus without problem) and when I ran, my computer took forever to drive reapair (> 4hrs) and he gave me other problems with files being screwed and what - not. I tried to install a backup copy out of an external hard drive with no luck. I ended up taking my computer to be repaired by a repair shop and they ended up having to re - install windows 8. I go back to my computer and started to install drivers on Lenovo for my Y410p website. However, at the moment I can't change the brightness level of the screen on the right side of the screen in the menu of charms the birghtness option is darker than the other options and said "unavalible. I believe that this is due to a problem with the graphics card base of Microsoft because it has a yellow warning sign in Device Manager. The other problem I have is that the graphics card seems to be 'disappeared', as in all information about it is disappeared completely from the computer. I looked under hardware and sound in the control panel (I think I remember seeing the NVidia control panel there before to re - install) and it was not present. I also tried to search for "nvidia" using charm and nothing came. Working with computers is certainly not one of my strengths, and any help is greatly appreciated.

  Maybe your graphics card struggled to display an image of grand res. What model is your Mac?

  Try to resize an image for something as small as a test. Preview can do the downsizing, or if you have an image editor like Photoshop...

• HP dv6 Notebook PC Envy: purple and green points on screen

  Hey guys,.

  For a little while now, I had green and purple points come on the screen. Randomly, he began to arrive and was not a cause to throw or something. They come on the screen, stay a while, disppear briefly and return. If he press the keyboard next to the mouse pad area it makes disppear for a little while.

  I also have a line of white pixels from top to bottom on the left side of my screen, perhaps a little more two inches to one side. Not so long ago, I called HP, but they didn't really help me.

  I can not screenshot them so I think it's a physical problem and not in display graphics software.

  I saw your post about points violet/green and the white line. I'll be happy to help you. Yes, this could be a hardware problem. We can confirm that by connecting your laptop to an external monitor. If they come we know that there is a problem with the display. That they show it might be a software or graphic card problem.

  What is your product number? There are a number of models of the dv6 series.

  The Act is accomplished. But... Up to now, and after that you went ahead and moved to version 12, we now learn what Premiere Elements version you were using. We don't yet know the operating system involved.

  You said first Elements 10. First 10 Elements is affected by a problem serious display known if the computer uses an NVIDIA GeForce video/graphics card card. In this issue, the only cure is to roll back the version of the driver about may 2013. The description of the problem and how to make the rear roller are described in one of the messages at the top of this forum. What video/graphics card your computer use?

  On another front, Adobe will release a new version of Premiere Elements any day now. Not one, but Adobe knows the function defined for the new version. This type of information is announced at the time of the release of the new version.

  So the solution to the problem you presented in this thread could have been...

  1 roll back the version of the NVIDIA GeForce driver for all may 2013 if possible (Windows 8 or 8.1 64 bit, maybe not possible)

  2. move to a different version of Premiere Elements (which you did)

  Hi, 41 of Firefox, you must use the add-on tab override (browser.newtab.url replacement), to make changes to the page tab.

  Once installed, open the Add-ons (Ctrl + Shift + A) Manager > Extensions, and then look for the new tab override and click Options to set your preference.

  Notice, if you want only the new tab to be the same as your home page, you can use the Add on new tab homepage instead.

  You will then need to restart Firefox for all changes to take effect.

• Problems with connecting fiber and new router AirPort

  I installed the fiber optic connection to replace my cable modem connection... I have a network of airport for a long time. When I bridge router ISP in my airport network that there are multiple problems. The major is that when you plug the ethernet cable from the modem ISP Ethernet port on the WAN of Timecapsule port all the TC LAN ports go dead. My network is itinerant and all of my extremes are connected with cables, but all on my main TC LAN ports are dead. I rebuilt my network and the same problem... And I think that the culprit is ports LAN TC is off

  Unfortunately, Apple has designed their routers airport to work with a standard cable and DSL type connections. The fiber is a whole new game ball, and Apple has not yet learned the rules of the game, so you may or may not have a really hard question.

  When you plug the ethernet cable from the modem ISP Ethernet port on the WAN of Timecapsule port all the TC LAN ports go dead.

  Before you connected to the fiber "modem" Time Capsule, did first reset you back to default settings... and then... set up again I hope to work with the fiber optic router?

  If this isn't the case, you need to do whenever you change providers or the modem that the Time Capsule connects to.

  All other devices that might be connected to the time Capsule should be turned off and unplugged.

  Then, if the time Capsule can be configured to work with the "modem" fiber, you can connect devices to the time Capsule one at a time to ensure that each of them is working before connect you to the other.  It may be necessary to reconfigure some or all devices that are connected to the time Capsule so that everything works again.

  Bottom line here... get the time Capsule working first with the "to modem" fibers.  Then start to add other devices to time Capsule one at a time.

  How do you have Movie Maker and what version is? I think that the new version 2.1 and it requires XP SP2. Make sure you have SP2 or a later version by right-clicking on my computer and choose Properties, then check the version in the general tab, under System.

  You must also make sure that you have the latest graphics card drivers. Check the website of the provider for those.
