Microsoft outsource security on personal computers patches?
My friend, informed through incessant alerts then on the internet she had serious Trojan and virus problems, clicked on the link provided in the ToolTip. As a result, a startup with sound alarms screen and a phone number to call to solve the problem. Dialing the number, the security firm, Tech help Expert, informed her that for $200 they would remove the virus in line, to which she agreed. She also called me and when I got the "fix" online was in the process. Quickly, I checked the papers in the history of Microsoft Defender and firewall. There is no incident or violations and I have set out to stop the process and restore to reset the computer to an earlier time. After payment, we called the security cabinet, and that's what they claimed. Microsoft has contacted them due to violation of the security of the firewall. That is why their number came to my friend to call. Microsoft outsource fixes security for personal computers and, in the affirmative, is Expert help Tech one of them? Paul

Microsoft called the owners of computers on the virus?
I recently got a call at my place of residence of a person saying that they were calling from Microsoft and that they were receiving error messages from my computer as a malicious virus was downloaded on my computer. They really say this without having access to my computer and what they are doing he used to call people to their personal residences? When I tried to tell the person that I don't download games or music on my computer, he said "I don't trust you." I was pretty shocked and hung up, but then I started second guessing myself. Someone at - he heard of this? Is this some kind of scam?

Why and when will be communicated to Microsoft, an upgrade or a system Patch File/s, allowing a system of 32-bit Windows (such as Windows 7) operating system, upgrade to an OS 64-bit (as Windows 8) system?
As for now, it is NOT possible to upgrade a 32-bit of the windows operating system like Windows 7 or Vista or XP, so that the latest operating system (such as Windows 8), but what I want to do is install (once it is released into the public domain), Windows 7 32-bit to 64-bit Windows 8.
This situation will be resolved with time, prior before NEXT new operating system release date of microsoft.
Thank you.
Chris...
I wouldn't hold my breath. What you CAN do is to make a new partition and install Windows 8 or another 64-bit of the system on it. It is not hard to do, and with huge hard drives that have modern computers, there are usually lots of disk space to do so.

I forgot my microsoft internet security and acceleration server password and username
I forgot my user name and a password for microsoft internet security and acceleration server
Hi Tom,
Unfortunately, we are limited in what we can do to help with password lost or forgotten by Microsoft Policy, which applies to anyone who answered questions here. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/189126. But there are a few options to try:
You have another administrator account where you know the password that you can connect to the password changes to this account?
First of all, make sure that you do not have the CAPS LOCK SHIFT keys or Numlock enabled - this can change what you think, you type in something else (different case or a number or a letter) and the system see what you entered as incorrect.
Second, if you have another keyboard, you can use with the computer, try to do this. Maybe it's that one of the characters of your password is not working properly on the keyboard or the keyboard is inserting extra spaces or something else that makes you think that you enter won't be not what you're really in.
Unfortunately, if this does not work in this case the only option, we can suggest is to restore the system to factory conditions (or do a clean install). But too late for this time, next time create more than one administrator account in order to have a backup in case something like this happens again. A new installation will create a new administrator account. It allows to do some backups to avoid that from happening.
I'm sorry, that we cannot do more to help.
Good luck and best wishes!

Hi Mkress,
Welcome!
You can get this error if Windows Error Reporting Service does not start, try to restart the service on the computer and check if the problem persists or not, follow the steps below to start the service:
1. click on start.
2 type Services in the start search.
3. look for Windows Error Reporting Service in the list.
4. right click on the Service.
5. click on properties.
6. set the Startup Type to automatic.
7 set the starting state.
8. click on apply.
9. click on OK.
Now restart the computer for the changes to the effect.
I would say that you do the check disk on the computer to find the bad sectors and disk related errors on the computer, follow these steps:
1. the procedure for chkdsk to run:
i. Click Start
II. type cmd in the start search box.
III. right-click on cmd.exe list programs and then select the run as Administrator option.
IV. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click on continue.
v. in the command prompt window, type the following command and press enter Chkdsk/r
Note: When you restart, Windows checks the drive for errors, and then Windows starts. Now, run the disk check in the command prompt.

I am operating Windows 7. I get this error that I see in my event log, Event Source LSA ID (lsasrv with) 5000, which translates the message that Windows has encountered a critical error and will stop in a minute. My research looking for the solution indicates that this error is not applicable to Windows 7, but that's it! It happens every hour approximately. It was supposed to effect Windows2000, so whenever I search, it says any fix does not work on my machine. No idea how to fix this error before the reinstallation of the operating system?

Hi Rick,
Thank you very much for the detailed information.
If the error only occurs after the server has been rebooted, it is likely that a service tries to authenticate before the directory service is available. Lsasrv.dll library is required by windows and is used to perform the encryption/decryption and local password hashing. Lsasrv.dll is flagged as a system process and does not seem to be a security risk. However, removing the LSA Server Library might harm your system.
Corrupt Lsasrv.dll file could lead to this problem. You can download the file from any .dll and register again on your computer. But we do not recommend this.
I suggest you to run the System File Checker command to check if there is any violation in the system files that may be causing the problem.
To run a SFC scan.
Please follow the link https://support.microsoft.com/kb/929833?wa=wsignin1.0 to make a SFC scan on the computer.
If the problem persists, then we run check disk command to find the volumes on your hard disk for problems.
To run the check disk follow the steps below:
1. right click on the Windows button.
2. choose command line (Admin).
3. in the command prompt window, type the command Chkdsk C: /F and press ENTER.
4. this process will take about 20 to 30 minutes.
The above command corrects the bad or corrupt volumes in C:\ drive. After you run the check disk command, check to see if the problem persists.
Warning: The data available on bad sectors could be lost whenchkdsk trying to repair your hard drive.
Please respond to this post with the State to help you.

I see that almost every day Silverlight security trying to install automatic updates. I think I McAfree and I also have System Mechanic and IOLO. Should I allow this update or not? So far, it is not installed and even with the share of Microsoft in the name, I want to be sure. If I leave, what would be the advantages and disadvantages?
Hello
Silverlight isn't a security product. This is the plug-in that provides media rich experiences in web browser in about the same way as Flash Player more widely adopted by Adobe. Silverlight is a Microsoft product - please see:
http://www.microsoft.com/silverlight/what-is-silverlight/ .
(if you want, make sure get you it via a Web page with a domain microsoft.com and not a pop-up or other site)
Silverlight is optional - it is not an essential part of Windows. However, if you install it before you can use it, then keep it up-to-date so that security issues are addressed.
My personal opinion is that the development of system tools and registry cleaners are useless. I use just common sense and the tools provided with Windows. Of course, you have an up-to-date antivirus program, offering a real-time protection and a single firewall.

Microsoft outsource online maintenance?
I was contacted by phone by a company that claims to fix my computers "slowness" in www.onlinesupport.com saying that my computer has sent an error message to Microsoft and that they are under contract to fix it for £70 for! year and '£150 for 2 years! Their phone number is 02030266392 and it was "Alex" who spoke to me. Anyone who encountered this?
It is a common and well known scam. No, Microsoft never does that. I hope that you do not have to give them any personal information or pay. If you did, contact your credit card company immediately to do a chargeback and urinate on this map.

Hi Gary,.
If I understand correctly you are faced with the question with the Combat Flight Simulator 3 after installing a recent security update. You need to reinstall the game after you install the security update. I would say to contact Combat Flight Simulator 3 support for assistance.
