Microsoft Photo Viewer memory problem / unable to print images... (2 questions)

The other day I tried to print a photo (.jpg file) color - so I deactivated the "Print in grayscale" checkbox in the properties of the printer (just like always).

But after clicking on the OK/Print button in the Print Wizard Photo, 4 the same error windows pop up.

Translated from Danish:

"An error occurred during printing.
"The images cannot be printed due to the following error:

... But there is no description of error?

Now 4 error popups every time I try to print an image (.jpg or .png) - but NOT when you print documents containing images (.pdf and .odf) that prints very well.
.txt files print as well...

Standard Windows 7 Photo Viewer no longer works. He tells me that I have not enough memory on my system to display the selected image (.jpg-file 3 MB)...

I'm on a system Windows 7 Home Premium with 4 GB of RAM installed - I'm only using about 1 GB of them at the moment - is NOT a memory problem.
The CPU usage is also about 1%...

Any thoughts?

Kind regards

I hate this chime late trying to solve this problem, but I had the exactly the same problem (per month) and finally resolved.

What has not worked:

  • Reinstall Windows 7 as an upgrade on the spot.
  • Upgrade to Windows 8 (improved the situation, but did not fix)

What makes:

  • Create a new user account, it set until I transferred the old user account settings.
  • Set the color management settings.

Before you reinstall, I suggest to create a new user account and try printing once logged into the new account. If the photo printing Wizard works when logged in with a user account, the problem is specific to the settings for the user account with the problem.

To check the color management settings try this:

  • Click Start
  • Color in the search box type
  • Click on color management in the results of the research
  • Click the Advanced tab
  • Make a note of any settings that do not start with the system default
  • Change all settings that are not listed as default from system to system default
  • Close the color management dialog box and try again the Print Wizard

In my case it was a colour profile Adobe corrupted causing the problem.

    Hello

You did not mention the version of the operating system that is running in the computer with the problem. We know the version of operating system on this computer.

Windows Photo Viewer application allows you to view multi-page TIFF files, but it does not allow to print a number of pages in a multi-page TIFF file. In order to achieve this functionality, you can have a look at the workaround solutions provided in the answerin the following threads:

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/windows_vista-windows_programs/unable-to-print-only-one-page-in-a-multiple-page/737b4afc-0D0E-4cb8-8374-f6de218720b2

(Note: in the link above, a third-party program is proposed as a workaround.) Please keep in mind that using a non-Microsoft program is at risk of the user and for all the problems arising from the use of these programs, the user must contact the manufacturer of the respective program)

  • Microsoft Photo Gallery to view tiff files using windows 7

How to print only a few pages of the tiff file.  I don't have a problem when you use Microsoft photo Viewer with XP

    Hi GillRoad,

-You use Windows Live photo gallery or photo viewer in windows 7 to print the Tiff image?

You try to open the image in paint and check if you can print images of wise page.

To print the image in MS Paint, steps to follow:

    i. Click Start, in the search box, type in the paint

II. open the document to print

III. click on print and check.

If you are able to print selected pages in the painting and cannot print from Windows Live Photo Gallery, it would be better suited in the Gallery of Photo for Windows Live community. • Strange tint Windows Photo Viewer

I had a problem with the Windows Photo Viewer. Whenever I load an image, the entire window, image included, is given to this strange beige hue. It is the only program where it happens. The thumbnail is color correctly and it is coloured corectly seen in a slide show, but not in a preview. That seems independent of all the moniter settings or custom window color settings. Any ideas?

  • Vista Photo Viewer printing with HP 8100 problem

I have windows vista Home premium and use a printer HP 8100.  Until recently, everything was fine, but now the photoviewer program and direct program photoviewer seem to have no possibility to change the default settings of the printer.  If I put the default value of the printer for printing General color, or spectator is printed in grayscale or black and white despite my change of the configuration on the preferences box.  If I change the default black and white printer, it only allows me to change color.  Any ideas on how to get this working again?

  • Windows 7 photo viewer will not be printed

    Everything prints OK.
Photo Viewer gives the following from their selection error message... 'Print '.  That is to say BEFORE the print dialog box and before a printer is selected. The error message is "Photo Viewer cannot print this picture because there is no printer installed, or a service that Windows needs is not running."

Obviously, the printer is installed (prints everything else), if this service is not running.  Or is there something else?

    Any ideas gratefully received
