Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer.
Dear experts. I thought I had cracked this problem, but unfortunately not. Previously, I asked if I could download the Power Point Viewer, to serve on my Windows XP Home Edition, Service Pack 3, I was unable to open some e/mails in this format in Outlook Express. With your expert help, I downloaded it successfully. It shows in a folder, 3 KB - shortened to D:\Documents & All u. However, I missed obviously always to turn it on, even with your help. I waited for an e/mail to come in this format, to test, and it could not open. I was born 70 years at the earliest for that sort of thing. Any ideas would be appreciated, in simple terms please. Many thanks, best regards, 9fisherman6.

Updates Windows stops to open correctly in trying to use powerpoint viewer instead of my regular powerpoint 2007 programThis happens every time Windows updates powerpoint programs. If I remove updates Powerpoint 2007 opens correctly without Viewer trying to fit. But then when my computer updates again it starts all over.
You may need to associate the PPT file correctly with the PowerPoint program.
I do not know what operating system so you have and I'll give you the steps for Windows Vista.
1. click on start / Control Panel
2. click on programs
3. open default programs
4. open "associate any type of file or Protocol with a program.
5. search in the list, PPT and PPTX and make sure that they are associated with Powerpoint and not Powerpoint Viewer.I hope this helps.

PowerPoint Viewer KB 2413381 update problems
Hello, I guess a lot of people are going to have a problem with this update! I tried to find a way to update manually, but have developed zero. I have windows vista SP2 and Office 2007 to Microsoft Office/Home/student. Problem is with this update about the PowerPoint Viewer. Anyone have any ideas? I'd be happy. I don't want to call MS, but this is becoming a real pain! Thanks for any help! jmd06
* original title - HELP! PROBLEMS WITH THE UPDATE OF MICROSOFT OFFICE POWERPOINT VIEWER UPDATE KB 2413381 *.
The update is probably a failure because it can't find its source files. Remove the Viewer to supply and install the last and then run WU again to see if there are updates for this (before you remove the files/media/installation of the sources).

Hello
Thanks for the reply.I suggest to disable the anti-virus application and then try to install the update manually and check if it helps.Security for PowerPoint Viewer 2003 (KB969615) update
http://www.Microsoft.com/en-US/Download/details.aspx?ID=1688Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. Windows Update for powerpoint viewer wil not install - error code 0 x 4397
I tried several times to install this update without success. Also tried the Microsoft Fixit for Windows Update, but it has not fixed the problem.
The update is
Security for PowerPoint Viewer 2003 (KB969615) update
Any suggestions? It will probably not install because most likely the update is looking for the original source.
As this is a security for the 2003 Viewer update, why not get rid of it all together and download the new version-

Update of security for PowerPoint Viewer 2003 (KB969615) error 4397
original title: security for PowerPoint Viewer 2003 (KB969615) update
I try to update the security for PowerPoint Viewer 2003 (KB969615) update and the answer is the error code 4397. Can you help me with this? Allways says the same error code.
The majority of Viewer updates fail to install due to the inability to locate the installation source.
As it is only a viewer update, uninstall the PowerPoint 2003 Viewer and install the latest PowerPoint Viewer.

I use incredi mail as a default mail server. I've been using microsoft powerpoint to open attachments... but it's no longer allow me to do. I ran the test using your powerpoint? If so, how can I open my attachments? Did Microsoft powerpoint does not come with windows vista? How do you get it again?
Microsoft Office Powerpoint is not installed for free with Vista.
Always buy the Suite of Office programs.
You probably had a Trail of Office preinstalled version, and it has expired.
Use the PowerPoint Viewer for free.
But you can't change anything with her.
It goes same for viewers in Microsoft Excel and Word.
