Microsoft's folder opens at startup

After a recent update of Windows XP is installed, a folder named "Microsoft" now opens at startup.

I can't seem to make this issue go away.

The folder does not appear at startup.

How can I make them disappear?

Thank you

Go to start | Run and type msconfig and then see what are startup items.  You can selectively disable them and restart to see if you got rid of the issue.

    Hello everyone and Microsoft workers.

Well good for me first 'libraries', so now it's the "computer" folder Every time when my starting the computer to shutdown or restart, popups of computer file at startup.

It only popup once when turn on or restart the computer, it will pop up when the window loads in.

NOTE: 1 update Microsoft Security Essential 13/02/2012 complete scanned with no internet. computer clean result that found nothing.

"2"msconfig"- isn't the problem, it does not display"my computer ' or 'library' or 'my document'.

    3. regedit - is normal, there is no dub or any other person.

I think that the window could open some programs after the cut or in "scheduled tasks".

I tried to use the Autoruns and gradually disable some elements in the tab "connection", then in the tab "regular " tasks"and restarted the computer. If she doesn't havenot helped, then I myself allow their return and I would try to disable other elements.

  • How to stop the "Microsoft" folder opens at startup

Whenever I start my computer, "C:\Program Files\Microsoft" opens. I went through each item, start nothing leading to this path. (msconfig, registry, and "Startup" in "Programs" folder.) Anyone know how to stop the start to the top of the file?

You are really the way strong, but as long you are looking at the registry "Run" keys, make sure that the names of path for various startup items are surrounded by double quotes.

I can find no documentation final for this - and there is certainly some entries in my key Run that have spaces in them, but are not surrounded by double quotes - but in general, Windows behaves better if you either do not use characters such as spaces or surround the path with quotation marks name.

    For example:

    "C:\Program Files\Fichiers Files\Adobe\ARM\1.0\AdobeARM.exe"

Because registry Analyzer seems to know the space in Program Files, and given your statement that the problem started when you installed Office, I suggest looking for an entry that starts C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\

If you find such an entry without quotes, modify to add and see if the problem goes away.

In the future, Autoruns is an easier way to find the startup entries... and it shows many places more than just two Run keys you watched.

  • Microsoft/Search Enhancement Pack folder opens at startup

For a while when my computer starts a window pops up that contains a folder named "Microsoft", which in turn contains a folder named 'Search Enhancement Pack', the two files in date 25/12/2010. The files are in my computer/HP_Pavilion C: / Program Files. I am running Windows XP Home Edition Version 2002 Service Pack 3. I guess that this issue came on my computer in a download automatic update of Windows that I did not knowingly download it myself. How can I stop happening, please?

I found a solution to this problem, and it is displayed under the second thread for this topic.

It seems to me that your computer is infected with malware. Download the free Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free

Double-click mbam - setup.exe to install, and then run it.

  • Folder open automatically at startup

My Dell desktop computer uses Windows XP with SP3. At startup, the "C:\Program Files" folder opens automatically for about two weeks. I could not, so far, to cancel this action. Almost all the files in this folder are files ".dll" of Real Networks, Inc. need help.

    1. check folder Options > view tab "Restore previous folder on Windows Login" is unchecked.

    2. in addition, after each connection, your profile is loaded in the registry and a number of programmes is launched for the key hkey_current_user\\software\\microsoft\\windows\\currentversion\\run. When Windows is unable to load a particular program, say, the path of the program no longer exists, he sometimes opens the folder C:\Program Files by default.

To resolve, in a run window (Windows Logo key + R), type regedit, hit enter and go to the key above and check if each value is known to you. Then do the same thing to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run.

Note, it is prudent to create a system before any restore point, just in case something goes wrong.

  • Right click > open the startup folder opens search Active legends

I am running Vista Home Basic. When I click on the Start button, click programs, right-click the startup folder, and then clickOpen it does not open the startup folder. Instead, it opens a search window Active legends. How can I fix?

Go to the startup folder and right-click on it and click Proprties and then click on the location and enter C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup.  Click OK.  When you click Open the next time it should now open the folder that corresponds to your startup folder.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Folder my documents opens at startup and log on

Folder my documents is opens at startup and log on how to stop why it behaves?

See if it works (I'm not your configuration): Command Options Panel\Folder.
Select the VIEW tab, uncheck the RESTORE PREVIOUS FOLDER WINDOWS at the CONNECTION.

Here's another option to remove this problem: http://www.technize.com/my-documents-folder-opens-at-windows-startup/.  Make sure that you are in the registry and I would only delete the Documents folder reference rather than all - but it is up to you.  I would like to make a registry backup system and the restore point before starting this procedure to be on the safe side.

    ==================================================================================================================================

Here is another similar option worth a try, if others do not work (same for system restore point and registry backup):

    Click Start > run Regedit > move > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ logiciels\ Microsoft\ Windows NT\ CurrentVersion\ Winlogon

In RHS Panel, change the value of "Userinit" to: C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe

    Now, go to:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ logiciels\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ advanced Explorer\

In RHS Panel, change the value of "PersistBrowsers" to 0

    Reset.

    Click Start > run Regedit > move > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ logiciels\ Microsoft\ Windows NT\ CurrentVersion\ Winlogon

In RHS Panel, change the value of "Userinit" to: C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe

    Now, go to:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ logiciels\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ advanced Explorer\

In RHS Panel, change the value of "PersistBrowsers" to 0

    Reset.

    Click Start > run Regedit > move > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ logiciels\ Microsoft\ Windows NT\ CurrentVersion\ Winlogon

In RHS Panel, change the value of "Userinit" to: C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe

    Reset.

    Click Start > run Regedit > move > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ logiciels\ Microsoft\ Windows NT\ CurrentVersion\ Winlogon

If this does not work, go tohttp://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx and run Autoruns and click all.  You are looking for something, with the documents folder, and when you find it, uncheck the box to prevent it from starting at startup (it probably isn't there because it uses a different process to open it, but it's worth a try since different processes was the one before this one and if you are here it means that you did not).  Check the entire list as there may be several entries.  When you're done, click OK and restart.  The file should no longer start.  If by chance you find explorer.exe listed there, then try disabling that and see what happens.  This can cause a lot of problems, so be ready to CTRL-ALT-DEL and file run Explorer.exe to restart the program and then go back and check the box - it sure is not the solution.

If this does not work, try a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135.  If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem.   Follow the procedures described in the article.  Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall.  Once remember to put Vista in normal status, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

In RHS Panel, change the value of "Userinit" to: C:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe

    Now, go to:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\ logiciels\ Microsoft\ Windows\ CurrentVersion\ advanced Explorer\

In RHS Panel, change the value of "PersistBrowsers" to 0

    Reset

First of all it will be interesting to know from when it happened. If this started after anti-virus software, there is answer to your question.

It's very strange. In any case please check in the Autostart folder if there is a shortcut in the Control Panel window. If so you can remove it and he is unbootable at commissioning.

How can I find out what programs are open at startup? I suspect that there may be some spyware as I often get the message that windows needs expand what that, and I don't remember getting that so often before going online to Garmin to update my GPS. The site said it is necessary to download another program first, but I do not remember what was this program. Think it could be something with 'Net' in the name,
