  • Joystick Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2 no load or not remains loaded.

I have the Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2 joystick.

    I am running Windows 7 (64-bit).

The joystick is fine on Windows XP Home Edition. But, since the purchase of a new computer with Windows 7, the la manette controller game does not load half the time. When this happens, it stops during the Flight Simulator I followed all the steps you gave to another Member here who had problems with installing it and my problem persists.

The manual says that if I meet this problem, I should: let the USB plug into the port, turn off the computer, put the USB plug into a different port, restart the computer. I do this and the joystick is fine in the case of game controllers, but, during a robbery of the SIM joystick suddenly stops working, (i.e. no entrance to the plane of sim) and does NOT appear in the game controllers folder. (Microsoft Sidewinder Central/Control Panel)

    What should I do now?

    Thank you

Ironically, I dragged my old 2 precision last night to see if it worked in Win7-64.

Initially, he did not work at all. As it was long out of warranty, I opened it, gave the printed circuit, a brush to remove chips and checked the different connections. Reconnected to a hub external (just in case), and Win7 he picked up a fine. There are screws under each of the feet, which has just taken off.

The intermittent problem that you described, it could be a similar problem. The ' stick is pretty bulletproof, but not completely free from dust and dirt penetration.

  • Microsoft Sidewinder x 4 keyboard and program Microsoft Keyboard in Vista

I just connected a Microsoft Sidewinder x 4 keyboard in Vista after installing Intellitype 7.1.  The Microsoft Keyboard program continues to show an old "Wireless Desktop Elite Keyboard' as a default. I changed the Sidewinder keyboard, but as soon as I click OK in the Microsoft Keyboard window, it restores the old wireless keyboard (is no longer attached) when I opened the window. I uninstalled all the keyboards in the Device Manager and rebooted Vista.  I have also uninstalled and reinstalled Intellitype with no luck. Can someone help? Thank you.

Yep, a clean install would do :-)

A test, I plugged my X 4 my laptop Win7. He found as a "composite input device", but the bank lights do not come, so I guess that it relies on the software to make them work. I didn't install Intellitype, so I still think there is a problem with the installation of the software on your computer. You can download and install Revo Uninstaller, I have mentioned earlier, it allows to eliminate all traces of Intellitype, reboot, and reinstall. I think that even without the software installed, there will be always an HID input device listed in Device Manager, but not two. If I had the PC here, I would like to try it, but I'm in no hurry for the time or anything since I am retired :-)

  • Problems Microsoft Sidewinder X 8

I bought a microsoft sidewinder X 8 Christmas mouse, but now it is starting to have problems.

    • It will not load
    • "Back" button no longer works
    • Buttons on the fly DPI switch randomly sometimes

Right now I have a regular in my sidewinder X 8 AA battery because the normal battery is dead.  The problem is not the battery, it is the cord or rope to the mouse port.  I know because the normal AA battery won't take a charge and when I take it out, the cord itself will not feed the mouse.

  • Microsoft Sidewinder X 8 slow motion

I am a player who owns a Microsoft Sidewinder X 8 gaming mouse and have been a problem.

It seems that whenever I have hold down a key on my keyboard (without wireless/bluetooth), it seems to move more slowly when im not, I move faster than is necessary or useful for the games. This is especially a problem when stabilize on CoD MW2 sniper rifles.

It of my keyboard/bluetooth that could have an impact on the transmission of signals, or is my fairly new mouse broken

    Thanks in advance

You can get in trouble with your device drivers, firmware and/or software.  Go to the Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  If you need to get drivers (and you shouldbring at least for the keyboard and the mouse, and the bluetooth device and all you have time to do - they can help way beyond simply solve this problem), let the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows:http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. Follow these steps to get the drivers: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows:http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html. You can also try the Driver Verifier Manager to see if you can identify the driver or the responsible device (assuming that it is the cause):http://support.microsoft.com/kb/244617.

If this does not work, try swapping on the mouse to see if you have the same problem with one another that you know works. Do the same for the keyboard. Try one that did not work on another computer, and then see if this computer now feels the problem.  We are trying to determine if the problem is the keyboard, the mouse or the computer.  These tests help us to determine which.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • How to install the Microsoft Sidewinder Gamepad on a Windows 7 computer?

Need help to install a joystick microsoft sidewinder on my computer with a Windows 7 operating system. I have a gamepad adapter to connect via USB. Can you please help me with this.

    Hi Bhottinger,

Microsoft has dropped support for this product. As such there is no driver available for this product.

However, according to the Compatibility Center Windows 7, Microsoft Sidewinder joystick is compatible with Windows 7. You can see the report here.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/compatibility/Windows-7/en-us/search.aspx?l=en-us&type=hardware&s=SideWinder%20joystick

Therefore, using control of pilot integrated Windows if you manage to get the device works. If you have the old drivers CD, you can try changing the compatibility of the driver settings to make it work.

    Method 1:

Usually, Windows will find and automatically install the necessary drivers when you plug your game controller into your computer.

    (a) connect the joystick to the USB port via the adapter.

    (b) see if it is detected.

    (c) Windows should recognize the new hardware and set in place to work properly.

    Method 2:

Install the old driver that comes with the product by changing its compatibility settings.

    Reference:

Make older programs in this version of Windows

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/make-older-programs-run-in-this-version-of-Windows

After the installation, check if the device works.

  • Microsoft Sidewinder x 4 key changes randomly commands

    Hello
I have a Microsoft Sidewinder x 4 keyboard I've used for about 2 months. Recently, I found that it will start to change 'modes' for no apparent reason during the games I play. It happened during web browsing in Google Chrome, in Skyrim, Guild Wars 2 and typing in Microsoft Word. Instead of typing the letter I'm pressing, it will open a shortcut (as "d" will minimize a window, 'r' shoots to the top of the dialog box run, etc.).
I checked to make sure no keys were blocked (CTRL, ALT, Windows key) and is not the issue. I also checked to make sure that the drivers for the keyboard are updated. They are.
This is a persistent problem and the only way I can solve it to type normally when this happens is to restart the entire computer. I used a different keyboard with this computer and have never had this problem. I think the keyboard is maybe defective. Apart from that, I love this keyboard.
I am running Windows 7 64-bit, i5 2500 k CPU, MoBo Extreme3 of ASRock Gen3, Corsair Force GT 120 GB SSD, Corsair Vengeance LP DDR3 1600 8 GB, EVGA GTX 560ti 448 classified Core Ultra

I just discovered that if you go to the center of the mouse and windows of your game key Microsoft keyboard switch (or active) of the Bank active, then off and the problem should be solved. This happened to me probably 8 times now, I've just now figured this out on my own after countless internet searches.
