Microsoft Windows vista not a copy authentic

Original title: Microsoft won't validate Windows Vista

I'm not sure exactly when the problem started, but it now says in the lower left corner of the screen Windows Vista Build 6002, this isn't a genuine copy.  I tried to change the product key on the computer and also tried the automation, but it just keeps saying invalid product key. I followed the instructions in one of the posts here.

  • Why are external USB drives not considered "Devices with removable storage" by Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium?

Readers USB Flash RAM, CD drive USB, readers of CD - RW USB, USB DVD +-RW drives and DVD-ROM USB readers are all handled by Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium as "devices with removable storage".  To check this, look under the "Computer" entry in the menu 'start '.  However, if one uses as a USB external hard drive, that one is listed under 'hard drive '.  Programs noticed this, and some of them refuse to use it as a removable media drive, even if it is technically removable media, with its electronic and all.  It's kind of weird, because you can't remove the RAM on the USB Flash memory drives either.  Is there a way to get readers to external USB hard drive listed under "devices with removable storage"?

    -Yekta

USB hard drives do not seem material RMB (removable media bit) bit set.

I tried to format my external drive scratch NTFS (it has been formatted in this way, but I have re-formatted to ensure that), and it always happens as "Local Disk".  Also, I put the "Optimize for quick removal" option on the parameters of the disk driver hard software.  Which doesn't change anything either.  It came even as "Local Disk".  Finally, I formatted the drive with the FAT32 file system (use some flash drives).  The drive still shows as "Local Disk".  In the tests described above, I still "withdrew safely" the disk first and then re-connected.

Thanks for the help, I now know it is a bit material in the electronic control unit which controls special registration of the drive in the operating system.

  • Scanners supported in Microsoft Windows Vista or Windows 7

I have a HP Scanjet 5370c running on my desktop PC with Windows XP and am planning to upgrade to Windows 7 by releasing.  However, when the software running Microsoft Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor Beta to determine the compatibility of the system, the report indicates that the 5370 Scanjet is not compatible with Windows 7.  Further investigation on the HP Web site titled "Supported in Microsoft Windows Vista Scanners" page, it seems that my scanner is not supported on Vista either.  Does this mean that my scanner which works great under XP has been made obsolete due to lack of a driver which runs under Vista or Windows 7?  I like the Scanjet 5370c better than most scanners newest I've seen, it seems a shame to throw the right equipment for lack of support drivers.

I understand your point of view, and it's a good thing.  BUT it can cost the sale of new scanners.

The Scanjet 400, for example, was a very popular scanner.  Do not update for Vista, HP turned its back to a large number of its customers.

When I buy a scanner to work with Windows 7, guess what?  Because of the behavior of HP, I'll be that much less likely to buy a HP one.

I'm probably not the only one to see things this way.

  • Microsoft Windows Vista Home Permium freezes to the logon screen or gets stuck

Microsoft Windows Vista Home Permium freezes to the logon screen or crashes on the black screen with Copyright Microsoft Corporation with the load with six green bars moving through bar. It will start in safe mode. I ran the auto repair (recommended) when starting after being forced to stop. After it says its full it restarts and remains stuck on the black screen with Copyright Microsoft Corporation with the load bar with six green bars that cross so I force disable it again.

I had no problem with this computer, he got in last seven. It was working fine yesterday and then the without wire came out, so I restarted the computer to find the connection again as I had done several times before. That's when it froze on the opening of session and password screen. Who started this cycle of freezing or stuck on the black screen with the loading bar permanently running.

    UPDATE:
Start safe mode then made the instructions on the clean boot. Not checked, all iteams he says and rebooted and it worked. So I went to the next step to select only half to refine the list. Restarted and when at the loading screen for a little over 30 sec - 1 min (which is more short than the time it took to work initially after the first stage of the boot with all unchecked), but it goes to a completely black screen that has not happened before. So now, a little lost, or do I have to keep trying to refine?

    Hi Greg,.

It will not harm the computer to run it in a boot environment.  Some programs do not work properly because they were probably responsible for their own services and rely on them to work.  You have disabled all non-Microsoft services, and things like printers and software can be difficult.

Click Start, then options type power and press ENTER.  Let us make sure that the system is not configured to sleep.  Go ahead and put the power plan to High Performance, then click on change Plan settings below.  There will be a framework for "put the computer to sleep".  The value than ever.

If it continues to turn black in clean boot mode, you may have a hardware problem.  One thing you could do if it's a desktop system and really need to use it now, it is the lid of the machine and aim a fan in the box.  This will help if it is overheating.

Please complete the steps to diagnose the problem with the boot when you have the chance.

  • Microsoft Windows Vista: Rebuild the system volume information folder

    Greetings to everyone.

    (1) the Crypto ransomware locker has done the thing is on a friends laptop last week. This is a laptop HP DV900 Microsoft Windows Vista. Unfortunately, we have re-installed Vista, from the recovery partition, before attempting to restore the system, using the system restore. It is my understanding that the system volume information folder, contains files, such as excel and word files, which can be restored, but they are stored by Vista, in a special encrypted way.

If I could get it back or if I got the complete information system volume, would be possible to replace the current and to restore the system to a time before the ransomware hit?

    (2) in fact, I've used a file recovery program and was able to recover a huge file with the name:

    {11d89a13-09a9-11e4-9917-cb6a370b41f2} {3808876b-c176-4e48-b7ae-04046e6cc752}

This file is approximately 1.99 GB, and is dated on 17/07/2014. I suspect that the virus deployed on 18/07/2014 as the most important Excel and word files have the date of last modification of 18/07/2014. And those files that have changed on the 18/07/2014 cannot be open - unless I have change the extensions of excel to .csv file, in which case excel files open, but the info is still obviously encrypted.  OK, so I have the part of the system volume information folder content, which seem to be of the part that contains the files there, as this is a fairly large file.

My question is this: is a reconstruction of the folder system volume information, based on this possible of the file? In other words, using this file I have cancelled/recovered, can we restore Vista from this file?

    Thank you for your time.

You cannot use the system restore to recover files from the user.  Restore points would be zero because of the new facility.  Update of installation dates would be irrelevant as well as software installations.  The new installation files will take precedence.

  • Impossible to reinstall Lightroom 6 retail DVD.  Gives the error message "Windows Vista not supported."

After a horrible experience with the upgrade of Windows 10, I re-installed Windows 7 Pro and had to reinstall all my programs.  When I try to install the retail DVD of Lightroom 6 version, I got and error message that Lightroom does not support the Vista operating system.  This is NOT Vista; It is Windows 7 Pro x 64 SP with installed updates.  Installation stops there and will not continue!  I then reinstalled my old version of Lightroom 5.2 (who has updated to 5.7) without problem.  How can I bypass the installation process that incorrectly detects Vista?
