Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000 and Gaming

I have a small problem using this mouse with my games, I mean, I managed to solve the sensitity of the movement of the normal mouse in Vista and general use is not a problem.

Basically, my main problem is the scroll wheel when you attempt to use this mouse with games like Team Fortress 2 and Guild Wars, the scroll wheel is sensitive overally or barely sensitive, I had mice before this one that reacts instantly when scrolls on the same settings, I installed Intellipoint 6.3 the disc it came shipped with in the hope of resolving the issue , but nothing.

Until I get the obv have you checked your settings of the mouse, I would like to point out that I usually have the mouse works fine on programs and the standard Vista interface.

How can I fix the time of response of the scroll wheel?

Hi Ryzy,

Method 1: Check for known problems

There may be specific issues that are documented or troubleshooting steps for your game that may help you to solve the problems of mouse pointer.

Method 2: disable pointer trails

Note because there are several versions of Microsoft Windows, the following steps may be different on your computer. If they are, see your product documentation to complete these steps.

(1) open the item mouse in Control Panel. To do this in Windows Vista, click Start, type main.cpl in the search box and press ENTER.

(2) on the Motion tab on the pointer Options tab, click to clear the display pointer trails check box or the box display pointer trails.

3) click OK.

If the problem persists, proceed to the next method.

Method 3: Select the pointer Standard Windows or default configuration

(1) open the item mouse in Control Panel. To do this in Windows Vista, click Start, type main.cpl in the search box and press ENTER.

(2) on the tab pointers in the game box, click Windows Standard or default Windows.

3) click OK.

If the problem persists, proceed to the next method.

Method 4: Set hardware acceleration for most

1) click Start, type desk.cpl in the search box, and then click desk.cpl in the list programs.

2) click on advanced settings.

(3) in the Troubleshooting tab, click on change settings.

(4) If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on continue.

(5) in the display adapter convenience store dialog box, drag hardware acceleration slider two notches to the left of the full setting, and then click OK three times.

  • How pan in AutoCad with a Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000

I'll try to find how to turn on panoramic in AutoCAD by holding down the wheel with a Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000

Determination wins! I found the solution. Go to your devices and printers, and select your wireless mouse. Then select configure my mouse. Then select the link edit the Microsoft mouse settings. In the basic settings select the button on the wheel and select the option 'Middle-click '. After you make this selection, the mouse x and the keyboard focus screen and select 'apply' on the mouse properties screen and select ok. This helped my wheel button be held down and use the "pan" in AutoCAD.

  • Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000 - strange behavior

    Hello

I recently purchased this mouse (not the model of Laser and BlueTrack), but in some situations, it behaves strangely. In Winamp, it's difficult scroll down - I don't know how this is possible, but scrolling down in Winamp is extremely slow (for example playlist down once some time during the downscrolling), but the scrolling works very well. This place only in winamp in other programs scroll works OK.

The following problem is connected with internet browsers - I tested Mozilla Firefox and IE7, but the problem is the same. When a page loads, the movement of the cursor is very jerky and it is almost impossible to work with her. It is also unstable when a page is loaded, but the browser is reduced to the minimum. It is very annoying, and the main reason why I write here.

I am sure that this is related to the mouse with my ex we (A4tech X750BF) everything works perfectly. My computer specs are:

    Laptop Asus M70VR (Intel Core2Duo P8400, 4 GB RAM, disk HARD 2 x 320 GB)
Service Pack 1 of Windows Server 2008 Standard x 64
6.3 IntelliMouse (from CD) and 7.0 (downloaded) 64 x tested

I'm pretty disappointed with the buy, because I also have natural 4000 ergonomic keyboard which is a fantastic piece of hardware. Please help me solve this problem. Thank you in advance and sorry for my English.

    Hello

I tried some people, but I think that I come to the root of the jerky behavior. For my internet connection, I use Huawei E220 3G modem. It is generally connected next to the wireless receiver, but when I plugged in on the other side of my laptop (I had 2 USBs on the left and two on the right side), the problem disappeared. If the unstable behavior was probably caused by interference with my modem. But the strange 'scrolling' winamp is still there. In fact, I tried the mouse of a computer with Windows XP Pro SP3 (withou installation IntelliMouse) and scrolling in winamp was OK...

  • The Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000 has a power button or an auto-turn off function when you use it,

I am interested in buying one for use on a desktop PC, then the transmitter/receiver must be connected all the time...

Mouse Wireless a usually - ON / OFF switch or the automatic stop function.

And because this mouse is not to have ON / OFF switch, so it must have auto power-off function - and this function is independent of the question whether the radio is placed in the mouse, or even on your computer (plugged) attached.

And sometimes - if the mouse goes into power saving mode - you must first press the button of the mouse to wake up.

  • How to clean a Microsoft Wireless Mouse 5000

The (keyboard and mouse) worked perfectly for the last four years, but today the function of scrolling the mouse begins to fail and I suspect that the failure is due to debris inside the housing.

1 should I attempt to disassemble and clean & if so, do you have instructions?

2 should I remove the battery and give it a bath in isopropyl alcohol or other recommended fluid?

    3. other reccomendations?

    4. If I buy a replacement mouse, it will pair with the existing transmitter/receiver?

    Thanks for any help

    Geoff

Sorry for the delay in responding.

The mouse is more under the guarantee of several years.

Impossible to extract tamper proof screws... guess it IS inviolable.

Clean the bits that I couldn't with isopropyl alcohol, but then the stretched rubber ring and intermittently capture and probably due to the loss of aromatic compounds.

Get sick of all this and bought a tactile mouse that just arrived today. Definitely additional value their loot!

Thnks a lot to all of you who responded... it is a great forum.

    Hello

    1. you have the Microsoft transceiver?

Try the steps below to connect to Microsoft Transreciver.

    (a) press and hold the Bluetooth button on the bottom of the mouse. If your device is equipped with a battery indicator light, it flashes red/green to indicate that the device is discoverable.

    (b) on your computer, open the Bluetooth software. The Bluetooth software is usually found Control Panel in the start menu. For more information, see open the Bluetooth software below.

    (c) in the devices tab, click Add

    (d) follow the instructions that appear on the screen.

    (e) If you are prompted for a passkey, select no password. The Microsoft Bluetooth mouse devices do not work with a random passkey.

  • Microsoft Wireless Mouse and keyboard Natural Keyboard Combo

I have a combo of Microsoft wireless keyboard/mouse and the mouse went bad.  The mouse went bad and I replaced the mouse of this combo with a standalone Microsoft wireless mouse.  The stand-alone mouse and the keyboard/mouse combo are both connected via USB.  From the start and a few other times randomly, my mouse goes haywire.  I open the Device Manager and see that there are 2 "mouse HID-compliant" items listed (I presume because of two separate USB connections) - I right click and uninstall one of them (or the other, it's not serious) and the problem is solved.  Unfortunately, at startup or at other times, the same problem happens again, and I solve it the same way.  Short of buying a new keyboard, is there a way to fix this permanentaly?

I don't think that you need to plug the new mouse, it should work on the original sensor.

What is the difference between the 2000AES of Microsoft, and most expensive, 2000 Microsoft Wireless Desktop keyboard and mouse?

Made me. Comparing the two references, it seems that they are both the same, except that one is titled 'for business' and the other is not. The cheapest is "for companies' then perhaps originally they were to be sold in lots of dealers XX amount. If you plan to do one, get the cheaper. like you, I see no difference:

When I connect the transmitter (2.4 ghz v7.0 model 1423) the mouse to the computer, it identifies only, and the mouse works.
In devices and printers, the transmitter is under indefinite and after installing IntelliPoint 8.2 64-bit for Windows 7, it remains the same.
Sometimes the mouse does not react on the screen, as it got stuck and moving in parts rather than sequentially. Including the mouse buttons that do not meet at the moment.
If I bring the mouse close to the transmitter, the problem goes away and it works fine.
After the test, no relation to the load on the processor, the problem appears randomly.
I tried to replace USB ports but no change, the problem goes away only if I put the mouse close to the transmitter.
