Migrate network Script

Hello

I need a script will take a map of VM network by mac address (for VM with multiple network cards) and change the network label

Thank you

Itay

Try something like this

$mac = "00:50:56:11:22:33".

$vmName = "MyVM.

$pgName = "NewPG.

Get-VM-name $vmName | Get-NetworkAdapter | where {$_.} MacAddress - eq $mac} | Together-NetworkAdapter - NetworkName $pgName - confirm: $false

  • How to run a startup from a network script Script?

I want to place my startup script on the network so that when I update or change the script, it will be updated on the other computers, on which the script is.  Is this possible with a startup script?

    Thank you

    Chris Bishop.

You can use a shortcut to the script, and not the file itself. For example, if all users use the shortcut, then all changes made on the file should be reported to other computers, they have all given the min volume access.

Apart from this, one of my clients uses some utility to send a file all of the computers of users that they may be updated with a single click. But I don't remember what it was exactly. I think this is a native feature of MacOs. Will try to get some info.

Finally don't forget that startup scripts require inDesign to start over if there are changes in the script.

  • MySQL to Oracle Migration offline: scripts incorrectly generated for tables

    Hello

I used SQL Developer 3.0.4 to migrate Mysql to Oracle databases.

I have the following errors on the charger (oracle_ctl.sh) scripts to run:

SQL * Loader-2026: the charge was dropped because SQL Loader cannot continue.
SQL * Loader-500: could not open the file (data / framework_perdadepacotes_diari.txt)

The "framework_perdadepacotes_horario.txt" dump file is generated by mysqlsdump with the original mysql table name and ".txt" sufix:
    -excerpt from unload_script.sh
    mysqldump-u $username - p $server h $ t socket=/u01/mysqlmulti/mysql2/mysqld2.sock port password data = 3312 fields terminated by = "< EOFD >" fields escaped by = ""-lines terminated by = "< EORD >" "dxdb" "framework_perdadepacotes_horario" "

but sql loader controlfile makes reference to the file by using the new name of the oracle table (in this case, that the new name is truncated to 30 characters):
    --
    load data
    INFILE ' data / framework_perdadepacotes_diari.txt ".
    "str"< EORD >"
    in the dxdb.framework_perdadepacotes_diari table

Another instance of the same problem, but in this case the table name starts wth "_":
    -of unload_script.sh
    mysqldump-h $server u $username - p$ password t data fields terminated by = "< EOFD >" fields escaped by = ""-lines terminated by = "< EORD >" "netdb" "_Clientes" "

file name generated by mysqldump: "_Clientes.txt."
    CTL file:
    load data
    INFILE ' data / CLIENTES_1.txt ".
    "str"< EORD >"
    in the CLIENTES_1 table

Is this a bug, or are we supposed to manually fix the scripts for these cases?

    Thank you

Currently, you have to fix manually because there was no bug recorded for this question. I have now filed the bug and it will be if all goes well fixed in one of the next versions to come.

  • Access 2003-&gt; Oracle 10 g: fixed error of migration, SQL script

I recently migrated an Access 2003 to SQL using Oracle SQL developer Oracle database, and the process went well, with the exception of some migration errors.

The errors I had have largely brought on 3 main groups:

    (i) "doesn't have to convert' errors:
Failed to convert view Q345_Delete_NR > filename. Q345 - Delete NR: unexpected node in the AST: EXEC_PARAM_LIST: column of the row-1-1

    (II) 'limitation of translation mistakes:
Limitation of the translation "cannot convert to display" met on view filename. Q326 - update column of NA column_name line 0 0

    (III) "parse errors":
    oracle.dbtools.migration.parser.ext.ExtStringTemplate.setValue(ExtStringTemplate.java:106)

I know that these can be fixed, but I'm unable to understand what they mean. I would be grateful for some advice on what this means and how do I address to them.

Finally, I would like to watch the complete SQL script for the database migrated - please someone let me know how to consider this in a single sheet? I would like to create a stored procedure from this one.

    Thank you.

As you have an Oracle database you currently have support for this database and this is quite enough to save a service request for the SQL Migration Workbench developer.
Saving a service request will allow us to examine the migration of more detailed SQL Dev and then we can improve the product.

(The stored procedures, you need to manually extract the instructions in the script generated) that you intend to do) and then put it in a procedure.

  • Server cerificate PKI in the network script: EEM DMVPN

    Hi all

Before to jump in the topic, I have two questions:

    (1) when the root certificate expire it is possibe to renew automatically?

    (2) when a ray is certificate renew speak it will save the new certificate in NVRAM?

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What I'm looking for is a solution that might send a log/mail to our customer 2 days (for example) until the certificate expires the certificate authority ROOT/a TALK. It could be a script TCL or EEM.

All people ideas on how he could do better?

    Thanks in advance.

    Kind regards

    Laurent

    Laurent,

If you registered via the CEP, as I remember, timers for bearing cert CA indetitiy are kept (you can check in 'See the timer crypto pki').

We gradin not not automatically the certificate to the running configuration, you must perform a manual "wri" what registration or re-registration is made, it is to be able to recover if things don't go your way.

I have never created such a script, but depends strongly on your current deployment/configuration scenario.

  • ESX 3.5 and I seem to have lost all the networks.

DL580 G4 with ESX3.5. I've migrated all clients to another ESX Server, but it went a bit strange to say the least.

After the migration, all the guests off I went forward and add more ram and restarted. Server come OK, tells me the IP address to connect to (static) but that's all.

I can ping 127.0.0.1, but not static host ip address, I get an error "connect: could not connect to the network.

If I check the following localions I get zero information in files

    / etc/hosts

    etc/network-scripts/ifcfg-vswif0

    etc/VMware/ESX.conf

If I try the list of network adapters that I get no NICs in the list, if I have the material list network get hardware type and mac address.

    I see no switch to vmware if I try esxcfg-vswitch - l

I tried to restart the network and a few other services that I found on Google, now claim.

If I start using ERD Commander and enable networking I can not use the 2 onboard NICs but can use 2 additional network cards / 4 ports and can ping / map of external drives.

    Hello

I think it would be a case of corrupted file esx.conf. After the upgrade of the host by adding more ram or anything else, you may need to update the initrd image that you don't have and this translates into the corruption of your esx.conf file. Until that time, that it's the only imagination, I can take.

Now, there are simple process of recovery of the original esx.conf file. Please see the procedure below.

    #

Connect to the ESX host with a SSH client, or connect directly to the ESX with KVM console.

    #

Back up the corrupted file esx.conf using the command:

    CP esx.conf /tmp/esx.bad

    #

Copy the image into a temporary directory using a command similar to:

    CP /boot/initrd-2.4.21-47.0.1.ELvmnix.img/tmp

Note: The version of the initrd image is different from the ESX 3.x. If the version in the command / tmp /boot/initrd-2.4.21-47.0.1.ELvmnix.img cp is different, cd to the directory/boot and run the ls command to see your version.

    #

Decompress the image file using the command:

    CD/tmp

    gunzip - dc initrd - 2.4.21 - 47.0.1.ELvmnix.img > initrd.unziped

    #

Create a directory and mount the uncompressed image using the commands:

    mkdir initrd

    Mount-o loop initrd initrd.unziped

    #

Copy the file esx.conf to the directory mounted at/etc/vmware/en using the commands:

    CD/tmp/initrd/etc/vmware

    CP esx.conf/etc/vmware.

    #

Remove the directory mounted in step 5 by using the commands:

    CD/tmp

    umount/tmp/initrd

    #

Restart management agents for the changes to take effect.

Now other solutions could be looking to recreate the Console of the ESX Service and see if that can help you. Procedure is as below:

On your system, the vswif, vmnic, numbers of vSwitch and network settings are different.

    1.

Run the following command to list the name of the map of vswif:

    esxcfg-vswif - l

    2.

Run the following command to remove the adapter vswif:

    esxcfg-vswif - del vswif0

    3.

Run the following command to list the name of the vSwitch:

    esxcfg-vswitch - l

    4.

Run the following command to remove the vSwitch:

    esxcfg-vswitch vSwitch0 d

    5.

Run the following command to create the vSwitch:

    -an esxcfg-vswitch vSwitch0

    6.

Run the following commands to create ports for vSwitch default groups:

    esxcfg-vswitch - a 'network of the VM' vSwitch0

    esxcfg-vswitch - a "Service Console" vSwitch0

    7.

Run the following command to create the adapter vswif:

    esxcfg-vswif - add-- ip = nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn-"Service Console" portgroup mask = 255.255.255.0 subnet vswif0

    8.

Run the following command to verify that the settings in the network file are correct:

    sysconfig cat

    Networking = yes

    GATEWAYDEV = vswif0

    HOSTNAME = Host.domain.com

    Gateway = nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn

    9.

Run the following commands to list all network cards and associate a vmnic which has a status of site link:

    esxcfg-NICS - l

    esxcfg-vswitch - L vmnic1 vSwitch0

    10.

Run the following command to verify that the vmnic is associated with the vSwitch:

    esxcfg-vswitch - l

    11.

IP address ping to verify network connectivity. If the ping fails remove the previous vmnic from the vSwitch and try another adapter that has a

State of the link towards the top.

    esxcfg-vswitch - U vmnic1 vSwitch0

    esxcfg-vswitch - L vmnic2 vSwitch0

    12.

Run the following command to change the ID vlan a vSwitch

    # esxcfg - vswitch - p "VM network 1" - v 10 vSwitch0

    13.

If you make manual changes to sysconfig, run the following command to restart the network service:

    service network restart

  • Live migration of HYPER-V Server R2 2012

    Hello

I have a new Hyper-V 2 built node cluster. Storage is presented through SAN. Live-Migration network, network Public, private network and virtual switches-2 VMS-MGMT. These boxes are hardware identical; HP DL580 G7 with a lot of horses. I am running Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter Core on each node. My problem is, I validate cluster, and I get no error at all. This is a brand new clean install, but for some reason any I can only migrate from one node to another and not return without having to reboot a node after live migration. I don't know what I'm going? Has anyone already experienced this? A peer of mine installed the same scenario in a different data center and it does exactly the same thing too. Which leaves me to believe it's OS or hardware related?

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

    Hello

This error is usually done to firewall or selinux - but since you have already disabled, I recommend you just do a restart of your two virtual machines as I have explained these mistakes here http://salmandba.blogspot.sg/2015/04/using-cluster-verification-utility.htm

I also believe that you have also disabled Firewall (not only stopped) by using the command «chkconfig iptables» off

  • Convert script Illustrator cs3 to CS5

    Hello world

I'm new to illustrator script I made a simple script InDesign before but this the first time that I am ask to create the script for Illustrator.

We have an old script that will create a report for properties (e.i.: linkedImages, strokeWeights, strokeColors, indents, fonts, etc.) of the illustrator file. The script works in CS2 and CS3, but as most producers use now CS5 and CS6 they ask if we could migrate this script for CS5. The script uses hashtable.jsx to get these properties. CS5 script still has hashstable file or I have to create the script from scratch with using hashtable script?

Any suggestion or information on how I could convert the above script is very appreciated.

    Thank you and best regards,

    -elmer

OK, scripts in the startup folder will run on opening Illustrator... once. If your script needs to access a specific function in the hashtable.jsx file, you should know where it is and call it whenever he needs... it doesn't have to be in the startup folder, it can be anywhere,

at the beginning of your script to add

    #include "c:/full path/hashtable.jsx.

I copied the image to a different system and it turned. But now the networking does not work. It shows as instead of eth0 eth1. change the/etc/sysconfig/network-script/ifcfg-eth0 once again restores the networking. is their anyway to maintain the previous configuration after copying.

The movement will probably cause a new MAC address to be generated.  Check out KB 507 and 49 KB for more information on this. Try the supply of machinery, or what is your ultimate goal here?

    Good luck!

  • Networking on RedHat 5.5

Hi all, I think it's a common problem judging by messages on the internet. However, none of the fixes worked for my setup. I have a HP DL 350 G6 server. ESXi 4 running. It has an extra quad NIC n375t, which I installed additional drivers for one is picked up in VMWare. I installed Red Hat Linux 5.5 on it, which has installed without problem. I have a virtual installation running off of the built-in NIC switch. This goes to the console management & the machine virtual linux.

Machine starts, no error reported. I configured a correct on eth0, default gateway static IP address and mask. However, I am unable to get any access to the LAN or Internet to eth0. The MAC address matches that of E1000 card when checking the configuration settings of the Virtual Machine. TX RX traffic via eth0 is, I can ping the loopback, but still not bring no matter what connection beyond the Virtual Machine.

All the blogs suggest to change the virtual NETWORK of Machine card MAC address to the same thing as the vmnic0 (the only allow NIC). Having done this during the restart of its give an error of incorrect MAC address on eth0 and disables it. It is by changing the \etc\sysconfig\network-scripts\ifcfg-eth0 file to change the MAC address.

This should be easy, and I'm sure someone will know a quick fix. But slowly, I'm going crazy. This used to be so easy on ESX 3.5! Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

We have solved the problem on our side. If you have the advanced platform, and you enter the subscription number, you have the possibility during the installation of "Virtualization" (the same screen as the Web, development tools, and clustering).

There is a problem with Red Hat virtualization running while the server is virtualized. (I opens virtualization configuration is when the server runs as a host, not a guest operating system)

I reinstalled without virtualization and networking works like a charm.

    I hope this helps!

  • How to add the device (eth1) after the command 'neat' calls 'Configure Network'?

    People,

Hello. I want to install 2-node RAC Oracle 11 GR 2 VMPlayer 3 System. The host OS is Windows 7. Oracle Linux 5.6 is the guest operating system. 2 nodes (2 Virtual Machines) are RAC1 and RAC2.

We must create the public IP address and IP private for each virtual computer (RAC! and RAC2). IP addresses public (eth0) connect RAC1 and RAC2 of shared storage. The private IPS (eth1) connect RAC1 and RAC2.

In Oracle Linux 5.6, the command "neat" to the root user calls the configuration of the network (5 tabs) as follows:

    Devices | Material | IPsec | DNS | Hosts

In the "Devices" tab, I created the public IP address for RAC1 whose nom_peripherique is etho.
But I don't know how to add another device 'eth1' in the 'Devices' tab to create the private IP address.
Thus, the network cannot be implemented.

Can any folk tell me how to add another device (eth1) in the 'Devices' tab after the "neat" command calls "Network Configuration"?

    Folk,

Hello. Thanks much for the reply.

In the directory "/ etc/sysconfig/network-scripts", there is a file 'ifcfg-eth0"which contain a public IP address.

But there is no file "ifcfg-eth1" that must be a private IP address.
What is the reason that there is no device 'eth1' in the 'Devices' tab in the Network Configuration window?
Do we need to create a file 'ifcfg-eth1 '?
What should be the content of 'ifcfg-eth1 '?

Did you create a second NETWORK adapter to the virtual machine?

  • Run the script if only for a specific computer: need advice.

I want to be sure that a group, a people has done a job "within the gates" and that they did not bring pictures under the direction of the House.

My script works only if they get the name fo PCs.

I thought to use each computer name (network name), but I couldn't get it from javascript.

Would be an another way to do it from a photoshop on PC windows7 Pro network script?

    Thank you

One idea is to run a startup script to run a vbs script to set a variable in Photoshop.

For example, this script will set a variable 'processorID"with computers processor ID that can be checked using your script: -.

    var processorID = $.getenv('processorID');

    vbs...

    strComputer = "."
    Set objWMIService = GetObject("winmgmts:\\" & strComputer & "\root\cimv2")
    Set colItems = objWMIService.ExecQuery("Select * from Win32_Processor")
    For Each objItem in colItems
    ProcessorID = objItem.ProcessorId
    Next
    Set appRef = CreateObject( "Photoshop.Application" )
    Script =  "$.setenv('processorID','" & processorID & "');"
    appRef.DoJavaScript( Script )

You could blur the vbs code, an example of script to do this is here...
