Migrated to the new computer - now Creative Cloud Desktop Application will not work


After migrating to a new computer (Mac Book Pro running OS 10.9.4) I can't run any of my creative cloud apps. When I try to start, I get a prompt to download and reinstall the Application Manager. After installation, the creative cloud dropdown tray is completely empty without list of applications or him sign-in fields, and I get the same prompt when you try to start an application.

I tried reinstalling several times, so to delete the opm.db file but still no luck.

I'm completely stuck here, what more I can try?

Problem solved by a very helpful guy on the support chat!

  • I can't use the product because the creative cloud desktop application will not be installed.

    Windows 8.1. I could download the ambient light, but the site creative Web, when I click on download, nothing happens.  I was able to get off the .exe to load the file for the creative clouds... It seems to download and install with the questions until the end, he said "something happened", and a link to support.  So, I put in most of the time tonight to do repair and there is no support. I'm tempted to give him up, or if I uninstall all remnants of adobe, I bet it would install well.  Y at - it an app that does a total of adobe one install for leftovers that causes this?  My fire wall and the permissions are checked.  has crossed the whole double checking my account.  My password was stolen not etc.

  • Creative Cloud desktop application does not work, install but not visible to applications. I have a subscription.

    I tried to reinstall my creative cloud on my PC subscription. Windows 8.1.

    I get only a blank window, no possibillity to download something.

    I tried one of the suggestions forums to disable AAM addon. Does'nt makes no difference.

    Now what should I do?


    try to leave the cc app and try to delete the opm.db.

    the location of opm.db should be.

    Open the command run: % appdata%/local/adobe/oobe.

  • Creative cloud desktop application will not be installed

    When I launched my desktop app cc to use typekit, it asked me to update. The update has no error 1001. I wasn't able to use it, so I uninstalled and installed then again without success. It initializes the Setup program starts the download of the desktop application, and then disappears. I used cc cleaner, but all that was remove my photoshop! Help.

    I had no luck with above mentioned. I was able to chat with Adobe and the remotely installed an update to Applications Manager and that solved the problem. I strongly recommend to update your App manager and chatting with Adobe. They have been great.

    start at the top and work your way down to apply applicable patches until your problem is solved.

    If your error is:

    "Setup failed to initialize. File not found. ' or 'could not initialize installation. This could be due to missing files.

    first of all, rename folder OOBE OOBE.old.

    to find the OOBE:

    Win 64 bit OS: Program Files x86\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE

    Win 32 bit OS: Program Files \Common Files\Adobe\OOBE

    Mac os: HD > library > application support of > adobe > caps

    Mac os: USER > library > application support of > adobe > OOB

    If it fails or isn't the exact error you see, uninstall, clean (http://www.adobe.com/support/contact/cscleanertool.html) and reinstall.

    If you use an installation dvd:

    Copy the contents of the drive in a desktop folder and install from this directory.

    If you are using a mac:

    1. try to create a new user account in Mac with administrator privileges.

    2. connect to the new user, navigate to Mac HD > Application > utilities > Adobe Installer folder, locate products such as Adobe Reader, Adobe Flash, Adobe Air and uninstall the

    3. navigate to the user library > Application Support > Adobe and Adobe put in the trash.

    4. navigate to Mac HD > library > Application Support > Adobe and Adobe put in the trash.

    5 restart the installation.

    If everything is applicable above fails, check your Setup logs:


  • Creative cloud desktop application does not start!


    Since the upgrade to Windows 10 I was not able to open the creative application of cloud. I uninstalled it and reinstalled and I still have the same. Opens the creative cloud but not has nothing about this except the settings button which opens the dropdown menu with help (no help at all), PIN at the notification area and Quit. Or I can move me, minimize or close it!

  • Creative cloud desktop application has stopped working

    I had several problems with creative cloud since I moved from CS 5.5. To be honest I spend most of my time trying to convince myself all the CC because benefits that it is intrinsically reliable and most unstable - especially when approaching deadlines. And no matter whether Mac or PC.  I have a Mac at home and a PC at work. Trying to problem solve errors that constantly make my user experience simply horrible.

    This time around the creative Cloud application stopped working a couple of days without apparent reason. I uninstalled the old version and downloaded the latest version, then I could update the other applications. I clicked on the .exe file - absolutely nothing!  All ideas welcome.

  • Creative Cloud Desktop Access does not work after the computer loses power

    No crashes, no power surge in surge protector, not questions of cable or internet problems, creative cloud was installed and opened when the computer turns off while I was away from the office.  After restarting the creative cloud would not open access by computer.  I tried to uninstall and when unistall was over I had a message saying uninstall completed with errors.  I was not able to download access Office creative cloud of my creative cloud account or one of the other programs.  Only, I get a message saying that the failed download...

    As a user of CC I uninstalled Premiere Pro CS6 from my PC. But unfortunately, I wasn't aware that CS6 still got also uninstalled. Now my question: is it possible to reinstall. I know it's possible with the old version of the creative cloud under 'previous versions' desktop app, but I can't find Premiere Pro CS6 more in this list.

    I tried to uninstall all my programs and re - install but it didn't work. I seems to be connected as I am able to download apps directly from the adobe website. However, I can't sync my Typekit fonts more!

    Hi Tomgarrad,

    Go to Applications--> Utilities--> Adobe Installers.

    Uninstall Adobe Creative Cloud.

    * If it says application runs in the background, and then open the activity monitor and close the process creative cloud.

    Once the creative cloud is uninstalled then follow it mentioned below as follows:

    Please go to the library

    1. click on Finder, click go and navigate to the folder

    2. tap / library and click on Go

    3. go in Application Support and Adobe and then delete the OOBE folder.

    4 repeat step 1

    5. Type ~/Library and click Go

    6. go in Application Support and Adobe and then delete the OOBE folder.

    7. go to https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud?promoid=KLYVF

    Download Adobe Creative cloud, install it.

    If the steps above do not work. Try to enable the root user account, and then try to open Adobe Creative cloud.

  • My Creative Cloud Desktop application does not

    On Mac OS X 10.9.4

    So, this is what happened:

    • Creative office cloud is initially not synchronized, so I tried the logging and back in.
    • Desktop app froze and won't let me access the activity app monitor classified as "not responding". I tried force quit and reopen it, same problem.
    • Tried to restart the machine, no effect. Tried to uninstall, uninstaller is stuck on "not responding".
    • Don't know where to go from here.

    Any help would be appreciated!

  • Problem when filtering creative cloud desktop application: could not find after effects CC (12) version

    I need to export a CC project (2014) After Effects CS5.
    I kept the CC version (12) but now I need after effects CC (12) in order to save the project to the CS6.

    If I have the filter by 'all versions' or 'audio/video' I see after effects CC (2014) but if I filter by "previous versions" I see only Edge animate CC and Gaming SDK

    No way to see after effects CC (12)!

    Maybe because I use the Italian version of the creative cloud? I don't understand how to change the language of creative cloud, if I change the language in English (in the preferences / applications tab) this affects only the language of the downloaded apps, not the creative cloud itself... During the installation of the creative cloud, there isn't any choice to select a language...

    Why a simple thing like this makes it difficult...
