• Norton 360 Connection Wizard does not work with Firefox 17

  I just upgraded to Firefox 17 and found that Norton 360 "Connection Wizard" (officially named Identity Safe) no longer works. He does not fill in the username and password fields.   It seems that NI-VISA 5.3 does not support USB 3.0 devices. When I try to use the driver Wizard to create a driver for a USB 3.0 device, I get the error "ERROR-1073807178: device descriptor error - value not valid bMaxPacketSize0 (must be set to 8, 16, 32, or 64 bytes). I noticed that the unit has been giving wMaxPacketSize0 of 512 (2 ^ 9). But the driver Wizard treats the value 9. So I think that Assistant driver does not support USB 3.0 devices. If someone could confirm this?

  Unfortunately, USB 3.0 is not officially supported in VISA 5.3 when you use VISA Driver Wizard.

  A non-official solution is to work around the "information in the descriptor' by selecting 'Other' in the list of devices. You will need to manually enter the 'USB manufacturer ID (vendor ID)' and 'type USB (Product ID) Code. You will then need to find your driver in Windows Device Manager, right click and select "update driver software". This, however, is not a workaround solution guaranteed as NI-VISA 5.3 is not officially compatible USB 3.0.

  Previously, I had the status display, the ink levels, scan document, check printer heads, etc.

  Now all I get is a printer configuration screen that has 3 options

  -Add new software.

  I understand that you use a HP Photosmart 7520 e-all-in-one printer with a computer who has recently upgraded Windows 10 and now, when you click on the printer icon to open the HP printer Assistant you get the "connect a new printer"window. " I would like to help with that.

  It is not that the HP printer Assistant does not work, but probably the printer probable network needs to be reinstalled.

  I would like to start by uninstalling all software that was installed before the upgrade to Windows 10 relating to printers. Here is a support document which can help needed - uninstalling the software of the printer (Windows).

  If you get prompted to restart the computer when uninstalling, go ahead and do the restart. If this isn't the case, restart the computer after the uninstall is complete.

  Once the computer is ready, try to use the HP printer installation wizard for installation. This tool will find the most recent version of the printer software and installation help.
