mini 210-1142cl RAM update

question, is possible to upgrade RAM with a MHz higher than the computer can handle, 1333 MHz > 667 MHz?

If so, how?

I want to upgrade my RAM to the mini 210-1142cl from 1 GB to 2 GB,

According to the manual, the mini can accept an upgrade to 2 GB, but it must be:

2GB PC3 - 10600, DDR3-667 MHz, 204 pins sodimm

Centon 2 GB PC3 - 10600, DDR3-1333 MHz, 204 pins sodimm, tigerdirect, slightly cheaper.

and now he has a black screen, and I can't start with F2, F8 or F10.

What I did:

  1. update the BIOS to F24
  2. upgrade to Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit, the Intel ATOM chip is 64-bit
  3. went to crucial.com for scanning of memory, and it is guaranteed to work:

2GB PC3 - 10600, DDR3-1333 MHz, 204 pins sodimm

Is it possible to make the 1333 MHz running on the cl 210-1142 mini?

Yes, it is possible to improve from 1 GB to 2 GB

Thank you

I went to centon dot com, the hp mini 210-1142cl is not on their list of supported computers.

However, I just got a Centon support respoonse and said that part # is compatible to->

Centon CMP1333S02048.02

    Hello..
I have a HP mini 210-1110eq with Windows 8.1 Pro (i bought the notebook with win7 starter). I have only 1 GB of RAM. I recently bought a KINGSTON 2 GB 1333 MHz RAM. I updated my BIOS for HP f24 (HP.com said this is the most recent). But when I put it in the 2 GB of RAM, the laptop does not work (I think the cooler works). Someone help me please. Thank you!

Here are recommended by Crucial memory:

    http://www.crucial.com/USA/en/HP-mini-210-1108tu/CT5626138

This model has caused support long thread here when he came out about the compatibility of memory. A lot of people had a lot of trouble to get 2 gigs to work right:

Apparently, the memory density is a problem. This means that memory black blocks how are on the chip.  Read the entire thread. Crucial offers DDR3-1600 was 8 blocks of memory, not 16 and she is at work.

  • HP Mini 210-2070NR RAM upgrade

I bought a HP Mini 210-2070NR at Staples and wanted to upgrade the RAM to 2 GB.

Manual says that Windows 7 Starter only supports 1 G of RAM so I've upgraded to Windows 7 Home Premium to try to support 2G of RAM.

Went to Crucial site, put in the computer model, classified in 2G of RAM DDR3 10600 S, installed and computer won't start with 2 G of RAM in it.

Deletion of 2G, inserted original 1 G to start the computer to the top.

I've updated the BIOS with the latest version on the HP website.

Someone can help me to find a solution to this, or is this netbook on only a function with 1 G of RAM?

    Thanks in advance

You can upgrade to 2 GB of memory, but at the moment, not all DDR3 memory is accepted by the new Intel N455 processor... You will need to order it from HP part Surfer... Here is the link for the same thing... http://PartSurfer.HP.com/search.aspx?SearchText=615863-001

  • HP Mini 210-3000sd: HP Mini 210-3000 memory update

I bought a HP Mini 210-3000sd, or LT963EA #ABH used. It came with 1 GB of memory, which is great for Linux with a small desktop computer, but most certainly is preferable. I think to upgrade the memory, but am a bit confused:

    According to the product page.
http://support.HP.com/nl-NL/product/HP-mini-210-3000-PC-series/5082191/model/5116173/document/c02904... 1 GB is the maximum amount of memory.

After Crucial, they have a module for 2 GB of RAM for this laptop, only they call cell 210-3000CTO and their recommended module has a non standard of 1.35v rather voltage of 1, 5V.

The maintenance manual mentions single-channel 2GB DDR3 - 1333 MHz, no mention of any particular tension, but they list a number of spare parts 621565-001, which I couldn't find in the HP store, and he otherwise would be probably much more expensive than elsewhere.

Can someone give me more specific information, that is, the memory is expandable and if so, should it be 1.35v?

I got the memory today. Replace the memory module was quick and easy. Now the Starter Edition of Windows and Linux see 2 GB, and everything starts much more quickly.

  • HP Mini 210-4120: Windows Update does not work after the Reset HP Mini 210-4120 factory

Following the advice in another post on this site, in order to create a "clean" installation and his work & Office Starter (they do now--they have not before) I did a reset to factory of the recovery partition. (Trying to create discs of recovery or a USB key on the two brackets to the stage of checking).

The new game worked well, without error, BUT try as I might, I can't have the updates of Windows to work. If tried to re - adjust the C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution folder, sfc/scannow (no errors found) and using the powerful Microsoft FixIt which is supposed to re - install the Windows Update service - all without success.

I read on a post no HP (but I can't remember where!) someone finds this problem caused by a chip Intel driver, so maybe that could be applied to my PC.  However, since the factory Reset recovery Partion includes SP1, I would have thought that at least the system should download updates!

I get no error message, it justs waits... and waits... and waits.  I let wait for 90 minutes, but there is still no sign of activity.

I hope someone knows how to solve this problem otherwise I'll have to go back on my installation of non - Office Starter - his, no. (Who, fortunately, I have a couple of image.)

    Hello:

    I get it, I guess.

I thought that you also had a simple W7 starter installation disc (which must be done by editing the efi cfg file in any drive of W7 installation), and then you use the product key on the case of the laptop to turn on.

I knew that you had tried the partition recovery without result.

I was in the middle of the answer I have provided the link for audio driver, and I see that you already have.

  • Mini 210 help with upgrade options

    I have a mini 210-1142CL

Someone has updated the motherboard on this model and if so, is it really make a difference in performance.

Upgrade options are also somewhat confusing.

The mini works fine for me and before that pitch for a newer model, wanted to explore options of upgrade of it for at least a dual processor at the fastest speed it can handle.  Right now, it is running.  Have disk space enogh with 128 GB of free space, 1 GB of RAM.   Running a 1.66 GHZ N455 chip.

Not sure if a 1.5 GHZ dual chip will really make a substantial difference, or if it's time for new technologies.

    Thank you

    Stan

Atom processors were a dead-end. However, the N550 1.5 ghz dual was one of the best. A bit like the world above 'little person' but still a honor:

    http://cpuboss.com/CPUs/Intel-Atom-N550-vs-Intel-Atom-N455

Just to put it into perspective, here is a graph of the N550 vs some real processors.

    http://www.cpubenchmark.NET/CPU.php?CPU=Intel+Atom+N550+%40+1.50GHz

I saw the N550 motherboards for $45 on eBay. Performance is perhaps 30% better than the single core 1.66.

Your best upgrade is to install the 2 GB of RAM.

If you feel compelled by the whole thing of netbook, I'd get a new laptop. The technology comes from the netbook to be a reference in the calculation of the story. Good idea at the time. A good current smart phone probably has as much computing power.

    HP mini 210 1175NR w / Win7 (32 bit) starter.  No hardware changes.

I am interested in increase of the stock 1 GB RAM to 2 GB.  The problem is there seems to be a lot of conflicting information about the Max RAM that this PC can handle.  Site Web of HPs indicates she has a maximum of 1 GB.  There are countless articles on other sites, claiming that it may be higher.  I know that Windows 7 Starter will recognize up to 2 GB, so that shouldn't be the ceiling?  So what - this: 1 or 2?

    Hello:

    2 GB is the maximum.

See Chapter 1, page 2 of the memorandum on the link below.

OK... to answer your question... Here is the link to the service manual.

Maximum memory is 2 GB. There is only one memory slot. See Chapter 1, page 2.  My understanding is that even if you have W7 Starter, the 2 GB works perfectly. The manual States otherwise.

I think that the memory works perfectly.

I usually use Kingston memory or critical of myself, but I think I took HP memory of factory on HP laptops which were Hynix fleas.

  • HP Mini 210 Ram?

I just bought a HP Mini 210-2070NR and I'm a little disappointed.  I was told you can 'poor upgrade' to 2 GB of ram, but the product specifications page says this * exact version has a maximum of 1 GB.

  • Mini 210-1014ea: Wifi does not not on HP MINI 210-1014ea

So I've upgraded to windows 8 last year, it was quick but then day after day, it became slow. This laptop has 2 GB of ram and a 64-bit, Intel atom N450 processor. Given that windows 8 has been slow, I have dedcided to install windows 7. So after that I installed, all drivers worked very well EXCEPT FOR MY CONNECTION WIFI. After more than a week of fighting, I tried to update my drivers and do a lot of things. But my wifi it says "no connection available. Ethernet only works. Well, I installed the latest updates in Windows update. Right now I have the latest Broadcom 802. 11 b / g network driver. Version 5.100.xxxx. I tried to uninstall the driver from Device Manager, but even then I can't search for networks wifi, infact it doesn't show all the wifi networks.

    @jass007 ,

Hello and thanks for the display on the HP support forums.  A question when you did your installation of Windows 7, so that installing your drivers that you start first of all with the Chipset Driver.

The reason for this, it's a bit like a traffic COP for all the other drivers on the system.  I've seen this cause of conflict with common devices and even up to the point where they are not even appear in the Device Manager.

If you can make sure that you back up all data.

Once this is done go to the systems support page and download all the software and drivers and save it on a USB key.

    HP Mini 210 - 1014EA PC - software & drivers

Once it's done Windows Safe Mode startup.

    Enter SafeMode (Windows 7)

Once you're in safe mode, that you want to remove all your drivers.  You may need to uninstall one at a time and restart between uninstalls.  Don't forget to start mode without fail every time.

When all the drivers have been removed.  Start Windows again normally. Here, you will need to install the drivers one at a time.  Be sure to start with the Chipset Driver first.

Please let me know how it goes for you.

Thak you again for the display and have a great day.

  • HP Mini 210-1000 is very slow, even after disabling several programs.

I bought a HP Mini 210-1000 little more than one year. 1 GB of RAM. Win 7 Basic. Since only my son used and that occasionally, I never realized how incredibly slow, it was. Often, it takes 1 min for IE open a page. Even though I have broadband, I can't watch Netflix movies. I have disabled several programs in the menu of boot, run CCleaner, but it is still slow. When I check the Task Manager, it seems that 60-70 memory is used even when the CPU usage is 5%. I tried to tune up with HP Support Assistant, but when I click on update, it fails to update, fails to analyze or gather information. HP Support Assistant is only for products still under warranty? Can I maybe just uninstall and reinstall? Or am I left with no other choice than the upgrade of perhaps the memory? I would appreciate any advice. Thank you.

My advice? I would upgrade the RAM to 2 GB.
