• How can I edit a PDF file to have an expanded text box and more small margins?

  I just read a long discussion initiated by a guy who wanted to reconstruct a PDF file to print less pages. I do not ask this topic. I am aware that Acrobat 9 Pro will not recompose the pages in a PDF for you. as someone has said, it is not a word processing program. I want to copy a PDF file into a new file with an expanded text box and more small margins, so I can read it more easily. My view is not so great.

  I try to print a U.S. supreme court decision, for my study. The problem is that these PDF files of such decisions are composed of 10-points with generous margins, in pages of Folio-size smaller than 8 1/2 x 11 "." When you open PDFs of these decisions, you get the margins very broad and relatively small characters. Essentially, I would like to re-rasterize the document so it prints on my 8 1/2 x 11 "paper in a larger size of apparent type, but at the same high resolution as the original. Moreover, the decision that I'm getting is almost 200 pages long, so I won't do that, of course, in a page-by-page manner.

  I guess I could do it in Photoshop, in pages to blow and their culture. Photoshop does a good job of eliminating aliasing when you do this. But it seems to me better to re-rasterize pages of the source PDF file. If any player would be nice enough to explain this process? (I'm fairly warned in Photoshop, Illustrator and printer of computing concepts, but a complete newb in Acrobat).

  If you want just this for printing, one thing you can easily do is to crop all pages to remove the margins. For example, you can RP 2 "on the left and right sides, and 1.5" off the top and bottom. Then print using a Scaling of the Page to "adapt to the printable area.

  To crop in Acrobat 9, select: Document > Pages of culture

  Be sure to select all for the page range.

  The simulations that I create are very simple themselves but are intended to use in the classroom to help students learn more about the proven theory.  I hope to be able to place a 'help' or 'other info' button on the front panel that rises wants more info on theory, they can click on it and a pop up appears with background information on it.  It should also have a second button to close it and return to the main façade.  Can anyone lead me in the right direction?

  Use a structure of the event on the main vi when the button is clicked, launches a "help" void / vi. On the inside of the Sub vi (with the set properties to load the front when it is called, of course), use another structure of the event to wait until then click on the button of the Subvi, you can return to the main VI. • Box triggered more Questions on forms

  I use Oracle Apex Standard Edition 4.1
  
  I have a database with about 60 columns table. I built a form that asks a few questions and the information is stored in the database table. However, since there are so many columns, I want to hide some of the questions if they are not necessary.

  If someone checks the box, then another question appears which says:
  
  "Enter information for approval" (text field)
  
  But the second question should appear only when the box is filled.

• Lost to old hardware activation code

  I use a laptop with Windows 7 Ultimate operating system.  I have a virtual xp running to run my Oklahoma embroidery Mini Magic Box elite.  Everything was good with this set until I had problems with laptop and had to restore it to factory settings.  Then, I downloaded my magic box software and has managed to exploit the box for 10 days before she was to be "saved."  The company sells or services the magic box, and I could not run the box after 10 days.  I find the windows.old file, but I have no idea how I would find the activation code to run on the new windows system box.  OESD was of no help.  I spent many hours trying to figure out a work around for this problem.  Does anyone know of a way to stop the requirement to register when you can save is more because the company is no longer allowing records?  Very frustrating to say the least.  TIA for any help.

  I understand from the description of the issue that you experience the problem with the activation of Windows, please correct me if I'm wrong.

  If you do not activate Windows, I want to what exactly do you mean by the activation code for old hardware. If the problem is related to any specific hardware, so there is no other way other than to contact the hardware manufacturer.

  As the computer you are using is an OEM, it would be best to contact the Microsoft Store support or activation for assistance with this issue. You will not be able to use the operating system correctly if you do not activate Windows on your computer.

  Hello Adam,.

  You can use the tabs Panel or the Accordion widget for this.

  If you are using the ToolTip widget, you can use the ToolTip widget options to set the same onclick (the default value is on working capital), and then clikcing on the trigger will bring the target in sight.

  If you use the Accordion widget, you can remove two out of three triggers in the accordion panel and leave it alone (by default there are three). Then, make sure you keep the trigger accordion closed in design mode. • 9 brick iOS update my iPad Mini

  I have an iPad Mini 1st generation 64 GB WiFi model, which is stuck in a boot loop. It worked very well with iOS 8.4.1 build 12: 321. I upgraded to iOS9.2 build 13 c 75, but many of my applications were not charged despite having used iTunes with a local backup/restore my MacBookPro (mid 2010 13 "El Capitan running). I then tried to restart the device and decided to do a complete restore of the system via iTunes. While I was doing my system recovery/restore when downloading the iOS that my connection from Time Warner Cable is out for me (as it has particular fact for a lot of people in my area at this time as ISP). My iPad is now stuck in a loop of starting up with the Apple logo showing and then it restarts. I get the iTunes error 4005 and have tried all the things listed on the support page for this error, but also to take it to my local Genius Bar. I am still convinced that this error is entirely software related and because of recent changes with how Apple sign their iOS IPSW to install the OS on their devices.

  Apple support, if you read this answer please with a time table for when you create a way for which authorized users can re-sign borked iOS devices and get them running again so they are not left with a brick or a $ $ "repair" which is actually a replacement $100. Also, feel free to send me an email if you want to discuss this issue separately. I understand that privacy and security are involved in it so I want to respect that you can and it will solve as needed even if it is in a public forum).

  Yet once again, I assure you that this error is by no fault of mine and am fairly certain that the problem lies in the iCloud of Apple and/or Apple authentication for devices processes. I can't be the only one dealing with this issue, and I would be interested to see if others on this community have similar problems. Please post here if you do, because I think that most messages will help Apple to understand how many people need a real resolution of this issue.

  Apple, this can only arise under a problem while iOS updates roll faster and the update is practically necessary. (I have an iPhone 6 and 3 both Mini iPad and I leave them on iOS 9.2 instead of iOS 9.2.1 hoping to find a solution to this particular problem). Update alerts come to me at least every day. I continue to say no, and you're getting pretty annoying. I would like to know that there is a little more stability in environments before upgrading.

  Apple support do not go to see this and to provide you with anything whatsoever. I have a Mini 16 GB iPad, who owns the iOS 9.2.1. The issue that caused your boot loop isn't the iOS, but internet disruption admitted that you had. What happened when you brought the device to your Genius Bar appointment? Apple has not any changes to the way they sign their updates to iOS, what would make you think that?

  To be honest, I don't expect the iPad Mini (1st generation) for more updates, but this is my opinion. While mine is a few problems with multitasking, I hope it's because the processor and the most recent iOS. There comes a point difficult to manipulate this need for the processor.   My mini was just delivered. So I try to transfer files from my old Dell Latitude on Ubuntu to the Mini on a Netgear wireless router

  I put the files on the Dell to share. But the Mini does'nt find them well that he does not see a corresponding to the Dell printer Windows workgroup.

  The Mini does none of the files in the working group.

  When I tried to go the otherway to see if the Dell could see files shared on the Mini. I received a request to install 'actions' on the Mini and now when I try to share a file this error message.

  'net usershare' returned error 255: net usershare: cannot open/var/lib/samba/usershares usershare directory. Error Permission denied

  Now, I have two groups of windows work visible on my Linux machines but no files inside.

  How can I transfer files between two computers on Linux via a wireless network? It will not be a big problem.

  Transfer files between linux machines using a program called ssh. I found information on the web. It was not very difficult.

  Never got the two machines to connect using the shared windows resources, now I don't have to.

  Error 255 was a matter of a box under 'users' to allow file sharing.

  I also found the command line terminal hidden but available.

  Had a difficult start with the crumb of the Mini, but I am more familiar with linux OS crumbs now.

  I thought about getting a Mac Mini to use with a Wacom Cintiq Display(either 22HD or 27QHD) and I was wondering what would be best for the execution of the Adobe programs.

  It seems that most of the people prefer the 2012 Mac mini with the quad core as opposed to the current gen using two hearts.

  This brings me to two questions:

  I see a huge difference between the quad core and dual core in the adobe programs?

  8 GB RAM is enough or should I opt for 16 GB?

  Otherwise, the mac mini may be a poor choice for what I would do, so any feedback is appreciated!

  If for some reason you happen across a 2012 end i7 2.3 or 2.6 GHz quad with

  two 1 TB hard drives, they would be more easily upgraded to run an SSD and

  keep a rotating disc; or install two SSDs. between that and 16 GB of RAM, these

• Dialog box "Bookmark all" is HUGE!

  I have the version 40.0.3 of FireFox running on a Dell XPS under Windows 7 Home Premium laptop.

  When I right click on a tab for "bookmark all tabs" in a window, the dialog box that opens is really long and thin... I want to say, "scroll across the width of the page a couple of times" for a long time. (I think that the box is 150px high and almost long 4000px.)

  Wow, that should not happen.

  Sometimes, the file that contains the sizes of window and the dialog box becomes corrupted with dimensions of nonsense. As it is difficult to change, we recommend usually rename this file and have Firefox rebuild. Here's how:

  Open the settings folder (AKA Firefox profile) current Firefox help

  • button "3-bar" menu > "?" button > troubleshooting information
  • (menu bar) Help > troubleshooting information
  • type or paste everything: in the address bar and press Enter

  In the first table of the page, click on the view file"" button. This should launch a new window that lists the various files and folders in Windows Explorer.

  Leave this window open, switch back to Firefox and output, either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > button "power".
  • (menu bar) File > Exit

  Pause while Firefox finishing its cleanup, then rename xulstore.json to something like xulstore.old. If you see a file named localstore.rdf, rename this to localstore.old.

  Launch Firefox back up again. Normally, the dialog box appears again.

  Oh, I should mention that this can turn off the menu bar and the bookmarks toolbar. To activate the different bars on and outside, you can use one of the following methods to view the list of the toolbar, and then select the desired bars it:

  • Right click on a place empty on the tab bar (or the button '+')
  • Press the Alt key to activate the classic menu bar > view > toolbars
  • in customize mode > show/hide toolbars (see: Customize Firefox commands, buttons, and toolbars)

• Just installed v35. Now that the search box does not work. ??

  Today I got a message that Firefox v35.0 (Windows version) is ready to install. So I let it install. Once the installation is complete and restarted Firefox, the search box is more work. It presents suggestions for my default search engine (Google), but when I click on a suggestion, nothing happens. Or if I type the search term in directly or click on the arrow (right out of the box), nothing happens.

  If I put the search term in the URL window, it works, but I prefer to use the search box separate of the address bar.

  Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

  If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

  • In Firefox 29,0 and above, click on the menu button

    

    click Help

    

    then select restart with disabled modules.

  • In previous versions of Firefox, click on the Firefox button in the upper left of the Firefox window and click help (or click on help in the Menu bar, if you do not have a Firefox button) and click on restart with disabled modules.

  If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Mode safe mode as follows:

  • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.
  • On Mac: Hold the option key during the startup of Firefox.
  • On Linux: Exit Firefox, go to your Terminal and run firefox-safe-mode
    (you may need to specify the installation path of Firefox for example/usr/lib/firefox)

  When the Firefox Safe Mode window appears, select "start mode safe."

  

  If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

  To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

  When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.

• Anyone with problems connects an iPad mini to a wifi 2.4 GHz since update to 9.3.1 and 9.3.2 iOS?

  Since the two latest updates, my original iPad mini will connect is more than all the routers wifi 2.4 Ghz based.  If it's a double router broadband with a 5 GHz signal, I can always connect to those, but they are not as prevalent.  He also broke my ability to bind to my hotspot MiFi Karma that I used to work.  I am * off with Apple to disable the part of my iPad is an understatement at this point.

• Mac Mini vs MacBook Pro 13 "with retina display

  Recently, I decided to buy a Mac computer having never used several Windows computers.  I already have an iPad (I love by the way) that I use for taking notes and work on documents, while I'm not at my desk.  I have a Windows laptop at home which I use primarily as a desktop computer.  About five weeks of the year, I need to use the laptop as a real laptop (i.e., I need to move office where I keep it by the way).  However, I believe that, following an update of the iOS OneDrive app, that I should be able to work only from my iPad (i.e. the computer should not necessarily be used for these five weeks).  Nevertheless, I would still know that the Mac was portable so that I could at least carry somewhere or put it in a bag and connect it to a TV, use it as a monitor.

  I also want the Mac to last me five or sixyears, so a very important criterion for the Mac's longevity !  After looking through the different available Macs, I've narrowed my selection to the following:

  • MacBook Pro with the retina 13 "2.7 GHz 8 GB RAM 256 GB SSD (see here)
  • Mac Mini 2.8 GHz, 8 GB RAM 1 TB Fusion drive (see here)

  Most of my work is to use productivity applications (e.g. Microsoft Office); emails and browsing the web, as well as a small photo editing (I currently use Paint.Net under Windows to give you an idea of the kind of program I want to use).

  So, to summarize:

  • The Mac I must last for 5-6 years; I don't want to have to replace here there if that can be avoided
  • I wish it were portable enough to carry rarely, even if I have to plug it into a monitor somewhere
  • It must have an SSD
  • I would like to have a machine that will run the productivity (like MS Office) applications fairly quickly; I won't use image programs much (or at all)
  • I am a student at the University, your costs would be appreciated as well!

  So I'm looking for a recommendation as to whether the Mini or MacBook Pro with the retina (or another Mac altogether) would be better for my needs.

  Either one will meet your needs very well. The laptop has a little better graphics, but the Mini has a lot more on-board storage.

  The laptop has its own screen KB and mouse/trackpad is more portable.

  Two Macs need to be supported for the same amount of time in the future.  However, the laptop is more prone to damage jut because he's moved a lot.
