Minimum external resistance NI 9269

Hello

I'm trying NI 9269 voltage output. According

http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/5FDA9006283BB603862578B5006A80E7
NEITHER 9269 can take the smallest resistance at 10 k ohms (it's a condition for NI 9263) but the value is not reported.

What is the minimum external resistance required for the output voltage of the NI 9269?

Thank you

Hi tatsuya1

Very interesting question.

9269 output 10V @ 10 my / path. Therefore the minimum external resistance required is 1 k ohm.

  • Can a module SCXI 1102 with a block of 1303 b cause some channels of reading of the voltage signals and other signals of current reading at the same time?

    Hello

I'm trying to use two sensors of moisture Omega HX85BA and experience two CFI mass flowmeters in current loop. Humidity sensors have three outputs 0 - 10V, while flow meters have two outputs 4-20 Ma. Can I have all four sensors to wire to the same block of connection SCXI-1303 and read all the signals in the same VI? the block is connected to an SCXI 1102 b card and a 6052E DAQ of NI PCI card.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello BBalmforth,

Yes it can. Although you will need external resistances (I recommend resistors precision for better accuracy) for current signals. The SCXI 1102 b is indirectly measuring the current by measuring the voltage drop across the resistance. The table below describes the current diagram and how it will seek in LabVIEW and DAQ assistant.

I have a USB-6008, I read an entry on the OID.

I want this 1 report when the line has a present 5v and 0 for something else.

When I don't have anything on the lines.  It reads 1

How configure it to read 0 when nothing is connected?

Also how I re this in c#

    Thank you

    Hello ashitakaLax,

The USB-6008 housing has an internal pull-up resistance to 5V (according to page 22 of the User Guide and specifications) that pulls the line to 5V when nothing is connected.

In order to change this, you can add an external resistance of menu drop down to make the output to the earth when it is disconnected, if your device should get power to fuel the high line.

  • 6008 NI DAQ issues of reading pressure transducer

Hello everyone, I am a new user of labeled and not one expert on electronics, so please bear with me.

I'm trying to read a signal 4-20 my by a pressure transducer using a NI DAQ 6008 and Labview version 8.6. I am running Windows XP Professional. I'm the transducer, (http://www.omega.com/Pressure/pdf/PX01-I.pdf) providing a voltage of 10 v I have a 235 external resistance ohms between the terminals positive and negative data acquisition (although I am not sure that it is correct). At the start of my VI, I am able to measure a voltage of environ.9 data acquisition (verified by a voltmeter/ammeter) V and a current of environ.39 my.

My problem is the fact that when I have a supply pressure of my sensor, I have not received any signal whatsoever by the transducer, despite the fact that it is important that the pressure should give me a signal. Is this a problem with my installation, connections, data acquisition (which has been reset in MAX number of times and pass the self-test) or the sensor itself?

Thank you for your time and consideration

    Hi prenerk,

You are right that resistance must be connected to the terminals positive and negative a way to HAVE to create a measured voltage to current.  Here are two troubleshooting steps you can try:

    1. check with an ammeter so you are detecting a change in the current when you apply pressure to the transducer.

    2. open the Explorer Measurement & Automation and use a Test Panel to measure the voltage of the device.  This will ensure that there is a mistake in your LabVIEW code.  Also check the MAX pinout diagram to see if your sons are correctly plugged into the channel of GOT it.

If you have not discovered a problem with the above steps, we will have to learn more about your sensor pressure and how you connect it to the 6008.  We will need the information on the sons of the Omega instrument and how they are connected to the excitation voltage source and 6008.  Let us know how it goes!

  • Research through external hard drive

I asked about the use of external hard drives before, but I was never satisfied with the results. This time I thought that it would be more useful minimize my question in order to reduce the number of responses.

One of my more frequent needs is to search for an e-mail message. Suppose I know that a message from Mabel or at an uncertain date contained the information I need. Is it possible to type "Mabel" in a search engine for each mention of the same name throughout my external hard drive?

That sums it up. This is an example of the only way to find data that I would find useful: minimum words, and then click.

Yes, it should work, but with a modification.

First confirm that system preferences > Spotlight > search results > Mail & Messages is checked ON.

When you add the search term in a Finder window search field, select the Mac before you click to start the search. Only this option to search through all the disks and volumes.

  • Time capsule as external hard drive

Can I simply move my films and documents through the viewfinder to use it as a drive external hard time capsule from apple?

An 'external' drive is one in which the Player connects directly to a Mac... like a USB or a FireWire drive.

The Capsule is a reader of 'network', which means that it connects to the network router, the Mac then connects the network to the time Capsule.

The difference. Please keep in mind that the time Capsule is designed to store backups of your Mac using the application Time Machine on your Mac.

While other data may be stored on the Time Capsule, it is not a good idea to do so.  One reason for this is that users sometimes want to move the data from their Mac at the time Capsule to create more space on the hard drive to the Mac. Once that data has been moved over the time Capsule, users then often delete data on their Macs.

Big mistake. When--not if... Time Capsule has a problem, the only copy movies or documents that the user flies over from their Mac is on the time Capsule... and now that the data are not available and will be probably lost.

A much better solution would be to connect a USB drive or FireWire directly to the Mac and then have Time Machine back up the Mac and the USB to the time Capsule.  In this way, you have 'original' data on a drive and "backups" on another drive... the minimum it takes to a backup plan.

You should never get too low on your space of hard drive as the OS needs a minimum 10-15 GB of free space at any time to work properly. So, if you do any movie or image/photo, rendering and editing editing works best if you have at least as much vacuum you have temporary files in your project. I can easily raise 100 GB or more temp. files for a one hour film HD, so I keep a lot of empty hard disk space.

In order to get a few things on your hard drive, the usual space hoggers are therefore, movies, photos, etc. You can move all those who in their library on an external hard drive, and after having checked they are working, delete them from your hard drive.

Generally, the application work better if they are installed on your internal hard drive; I'm not a gamer, so I'm not familiar with the specifics of the game you're talking about. Search on Google, I couldn't find any reference to the Macs on their website - here, it shows the platforms it is compatible with:

  • Installation internal SSD drive and storage of documents on external hard drive

    Hello!

I have an older iMac and I want to speed it up by installing a SSD drive.  Currently, my internal hard drive has 2 TB of storage, and I don't want to pay for one SSD of this size.  I consider the use of an external drive for my files and using the SSD internal applications and the operating system.  Can this work?  What is the internal SSD of minimum size I should get, more or less, according to my number of apps?   The documents will open at a decent speed?   It is up to me to use an external hard drive with a Firewire instead of USB connection?  Thank you!

    Hi Dan:

Apps it really depends how much you use and what types of data you want to keep in vs SSD HARD drive.

120-128 GB SSD: USD price: 60-70 price range.

for 250/256 GB SSD: about USD: price range of 80-90

for 500/512 GB SSD: about USD: price range of 130-150

An external 2 TB drive: for laptop (USB bus-powered - usually 2.5 "HDD included): 90 us $, for the largest 3.5" Office style HDD: 90 USD

    For me:

I store all my music on the external network drive (RAID 1 configuration, 2 TB, and 50 percent full this time), all my documents/pictures are still in my 500 GB SSD.

I don't have much video projects on my SSD.

I used about 200 GB in my internal SSD flash drive

Good luck finding your best solution.

  • Why the files are stored on an external drive not appearing in the "other" classification on my iMac HD?

I'm running OS X version 10.11.4 on an iMac, retina 5 K 27-inch/3.5 GHz Intel Core i5 with 24 GB RAM/1 TB HDD and I have had for about a year, although I migrate some files over my old machine, but most were on an external.  I have almost all my larger files on an external drive 2 TB - for the most part hi res .eps, .jpeg, .png.

I run CleanMyMac 3 as a utility. When I saw recently that I had more than 600 GB of 'others' I decided I have to spend the day to clean my files and machine - and have therefore been sucked into this rabbit hole.

After cleaning duplicate files, empty the caches, removing unused applications and clean the external hard drive, I have still 570 GB of "other".  When you click on the bar in their own my Mac, it gives you a list of what is included in each of the classifications of file storage.  I understand, including all Documents to plain text, PDF and even files .docx, ect...

what I don't understand is why:

1 .pages (documents created in the clean Apple program) are not classified with documents, rather than as 'other '.

    2. why each of my .eps files that are stored on an external drive also claim space on my Mac?  It would potentially be the preview images displayed in the Finder? And if so, why it store a snapshot of the same size as the actual file?

AND, most importantly, I can recover some of the disk space consumed by the huge amount of .eps files?

    Thank you

'CleanMyMac' is a scam and a frequent cause of instability and poor performance. Depending on which version you have, the developer's instructions may not completely uninstall. Please follow these instructions, then do as below.

Back up all data before proceeding.

Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select this option:

    /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.macpaw.CleanMyMac3.Agent.plist

Right-click or Ctrl-click on the highlighted line and select

Services ▹ reveal in Finder (or just to reveal)

the contextual menu.*, a file can open with a selected item. If so, move the selected item to the trash. You may be prompted for administrator login password.

    Repeat with this line:

    /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/com.macpaw.CleanMyMac3.Agent

Restart the computer and empty the trash.

You may also delete one or more of these elements in the same way:

    ~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.macpaw.CleanMyMac.helperTool.plist
    ~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.macpaw.CleanMyMac.volumeWatcher.plist
    ~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.macpaw.CleanMyMac3.Scheduler.plist

Never install "CleanMyMac" or something like that.

    * If you do not see the item context menu copy the selected text in the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination. In the Finder, select

Go ▹ go to the folder...

from the menu bar and paste it into the box that opens by pressing command + V. You won't see what you pasted a newline being included. Press return.

    B

For the other category in the display of information storage, see this support article. If the display appears to be inaccurate, try to rebuild the Spotlight index.

Empty the trash if you don't have it already done. If you use iPhoto, emptying his trash internal everything first:

    ▹ iPhoto empty the trash

    In pictures:

▹ Show of the recently deleted ▹ file delete all

Do the same thing in other applications like Aperture, with an internal feature of the trash. Then, restart the computer. Temporarily, which will free up space.

According to the documentation from Apple, you need at least 9 GB of free space on the boot volume (as shown in the Infolog) for normal operation, not the mythical 10%, 15% or any percentage. You also need enough space to allow the growth of the data over. There is little or no advantage in terms of performance to get more free space than the minimum Apple recommends. Storage space you'll never use is wasted space.

See this support article for some easy ways to free up storage space. A common waste of space is old backups iTunes to mobile devices. As shown in this support article, select the devices tab in the iTunes preferences window, select the backup that you want to remove and click on delete the backups. Keep at least a backup of each device you use yet.

You can use a tool such OmniDiskSweeper (ODS) to explore the volume and discover what is take up space. You can also delete files with it, but not unless you don't know you know what you remove and that all data is stored safely. This means that you have several backups, not one. Note that CESO works with OS X 10.8 or later.

Deletion of files inside a photo library or iTunes will damage the library. Such a library should be changed within the application that created it. It is the same for e-mail files.

Go further than if the problem is not resolved by the steps above.

ODS cannot see the whole file system when you run simply by double-clicking; He sees only the files that you have permission to read. To see everything, you must run it as root.

Back up all the data now.

Install the application in the Applications folder as usual. Quit it runs.

Triple-click any where in the text line below on this page to select, then copy the selected text in the Clipboard by pressing Control-C key combination.

    security execute-with-privileges /A*/OmniDiskSweeper.app/*/M*/* 2>&-

Launch the Terminal application integrated in one of the following ways:

☞ Enter the first letters of his name in a Spotlight search. Select from the results (it should be at the top).

☞ In the Finder, select go utilities ▹ of menu bar or press the combination of keys shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.

☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.

Paste in the Terminal window by pressing command + V. You will be asked for your login password.

The application window opens behind other open windows. When you scan a volume, the window will finally show all files in all folders, sorted by size. It may take a few minutes for the app to finish scanning.

I do not recommend that you make a habit of doing. Do not delete anything as root. If something should be deleted, make sure you know what it is and how it got there, and then remove by safer alternatives. If in doubt, leave it alone or ask for advice.

When you are finished with the app, he quit and also to leave Terminal.

This very bad idea of s. If you want to have total control over your laptop, you can delete some of them, but not all. You can remove Tempro, Toshiba service station or something like that, but don t remove Toshiba value added package, the utility of fingerprints or camera Web app. You need all of this.

Remove some additional and unnecessary applications. You can remove preinstalled antivirus and use something else.

By the way: I think this laptop is designed for work and basic operations so I put t think you need so much free space. For data backup, you can use any USB key or external HARD drive. For example, you can buy 16 or 32 GB USB stick. You can save a large amount of data on it.

If you create a minimum install to your internal drive (c) for Windows and use the external drive as D:, all your programs TB partition and applications (other than the BONE) can reside and run from the disk of TB. This allows you to re - install Windows without any loss of data at any time and without violating your license. Most users do not buy Enterprise of Windows including Windows-to-Go.

You can partition the external drive as a GPT Mac OSX journaled Extended and a parts of FAT32. You can convert FAT32 to NTFS on the side Windows, if you wish.
