Minimum requirements of blackBerry Smartphones OS6

Hi guys, I apologize if I am in the wrong forum, but it's just where my bookmark me!

My companion wants to update his Storm2 OS6, and told him that he cannot because of memory and the speed etc. but he always wants

I was wondering if it is possible to install OS6 on the storm, if yes, what are the minimum memory requirements etc.!

Thanks, Ben

Welllll...

The first obstacle that will be no. operating system v6 has been published (or even filtered) for the Storm2 (9550 and 9520).

The second obstacle will be that unless something changes magically on the Storm2 (9550 and 9520) material, as the memory of the camera more, there will be no OS6 for Storm2. Just little unlikely to occur.

    Hello

I'll have too much trouble after upgrade to the new OS 6.

2 rejection of phone to connect to my kit car Bluetooth.  Of course the version of the software is changed, and when I am trying to connect.

    3. a single theme is available and it is without my notice today. I bought passport a few new themes but they do not appear in the list of themes...

    UGLY!

Please help me to solve some problems or to reach OS5

    Thanks in advance!

    3. the OS6 theme kit only became available a few weeks before. Perhaps additional topics that you have installed are NOT compatible OS6.

If you want to downgrade the operating system:

    1. If the most recent operating system is installed on your PC, delete the most recent operating system of your PC by going to control panel > Add/Remove programs.

    2. next, download and install the earlier version of the operating system. Operating system blackBerry downloads

    3. install the older operating system to the computer by running (double click) the downloaded file.
    4. go into c:\program files Research in motion\apploader and delete the file named "vendor.xml."
    5. plug in the BB and double-click on "Loader.exe." It is located in the same place as the above vendor.xml file.

  • Update blackBerry Smartphones os6 and all I have is black screen reset/reload 'Blackberry '.

I have a Bold 9650 and last night I updated to OS6, the undate seemed to go ok, I even had a little video to show the features, but then he told me that I had to update my email addresses, and when I did I was told to reboot to complete the update.  At this point I got was the start to the top/reload screen that says Blackberry with the white flag of the restart procedure.  The complete line indicating that the process is complete, but it is stuck on this screen.

I have taken the battery several times, and the same process is repeated.  Any ideas on how to get my phone working again?

    Thank you!

Thank you very much for this information.  It was my original plan, but I didn't know how to go on this issue.

I ended up going in Blackberry Desktop Software and applications, I noticed that I had 2 email, configure applications.  Since this is what I was doing when it failed, I removed the older (thought it was probably the surplus OS5 and incompatible with the new OS) and it worked.  I did a restore and everything seems to work fine now.  And I'm diggin' OS6!

    Thanks again!

-I have to be in the country where I bought the phone first? NO.

-do I need to enter the mep code, while the original sim card is in the phone? NO.

-Must this original sim card still work? NO.

for most suppliers, all they need is the IMEI of the device and the mobile operator brand, maybe the PIN and the model #.

  • Question of blackBerry Smartphones OS6

You will need to should not change the permissions on the AppWorld. Do not.

Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart. A reboot in this manner is prescribed for most defects and errors of operating system, and you will lose any data on the device doing so.

Now look around icon AppWorld once again, check your tab ALL on the home screen.

If you still don't see it, use your BlackBerry browser to go to the www.blackberry.com/appworld and download again.

  • Steps to update required OS blackBerry Smartphones... Help!

    Berrians,

I am a new user of BB device. Of the manual and page Web Blackberry, they stated that, if we want to update our OS device, we can be updated via the web (Desktop Manager) with our computer or through our device itself by the supplier of services (updated wireless)...

If I downloaded a bundle of BONES and want to update manually, what are the steps to this effect and how? Please someone explain in brief, which will enjoy... and how am I to ensure that the previous version of the operating system is removed? I'm reading about how to back up my data and 3rd data part, once I'm clear with everything, will proceed to the upgrade...

    Thank you in advance...

    See you soon

Hi KC, sorry to watch the Rugby yesterday.

  • Questions of 0.448 browser blackBerry Smartphones OS6

Difficulties with the browser OS6, I often receive alerts that the page that I am trying to load is too big and it will be closed. I also have alerts do not have enough memory to open the pages and I have also problems with the browser close without warning.

First of all the memory. Before loading 6 that I ensured that all unnecessary apps have been removed, ultimately send me some 84 MB of free space. Machine center, I think I was in the middle of 50 MB, but not too sure. After a while my available memory has fluctuated between 35-45MBs but never below it. Once that memory problems began to occur that I deleted more apps to get my free space to 55MBs, this still does not resolve the issue.

A friend suggested that unexpected closures could be due to the execution of Java. I had never allowed 5 and have not checked to see if it is enabled on the update, but my point is that an update should be improved not a downgrade if it is being run or not. I can barely go 2 pages without the browser closing for one reason or another and it's not as if I visit sites that have a visual content or high audio.

Anyway, any help is appreciated before I have 5 retro!

    Cheers, Jonesy.

P.S. I'm in love with 6 other than the browser!

I have solved the problem by installing RAM Optimizer BBAW. Works well and invisibly.

To answer your questions, I use a 9700 and accidents do not seem to occur on any site. One was a constant however, Google Images. The browser opens the first page, but if you scroll further down, it would break unexpectedly or I would get the "page too large" or "low memory" warnings. Now, everything seems to work much more smooth than before.

Thanks for asking in any case!

  • BlackBerry Smartphones OS6 on BB 9300 curve?

Is it possible to install the BB OS 6 on the 9300 tank?

And if so, where to download from. Thank you.

The Curve 9300 has 256 MB of memory onboard, which is half of the memory of any phone comes with OS 6.  You really need to the full 512 MB to avoid freezing upwards, trolling and general bad operation of the phone.

I do not recommend upgrading the OS 6 on a 9300; You'll no doubt regret.  Of course, don't take my word for it, ask around you and look through these forums for any phone 256 MB that users have tried to switch to OS 6 and see what they have to say about it.

    I hope that helps you.

  • Password blackBerry Smartphones required to unlock Blackberry Curve 9300

    Hello

One word: HELP! This is so the case... a friend gave me a Blackberry Curve 9300 to use (cause it not to use) cause my old phone went kaput. in any case, I turned it on and I see a written screen KOODOO mobile (a telephone to the Canada company) and then immediately a screen saying "DEVICE is locked". When I choose to open it says "Enter password" and I can't get past this screen for something else. My friend doesn't remember the password. He had introduced FIDO sim card so I'm thinking that the phone is unlocked... I have a FIDO sim card also. Can someone help me understand this? What I have to go to the KOODOO store and ask them to unlock or to anyone who makes the unlocking the phones? Or can someone here help me? Thank you

Hello and welcome to the community!

BBs are very secure - only the password created by the user can unlock the BB. There is no password 'master' or 'ignore' to do so... only the password created by the user can do.

But, you can maybe in luck still... refer:

    • KB05099 Steps to take before selling or after the purchase of a used BlackBerry smartphone

No not the password the maximum time will initiate a WIPE on the device, which is part of these important instructions. But other measures in these instructions are also important to... by the seller and the buyer. Not well fill ALL risks instructions making the BB not fully usable by the buyer (you).

    Good luck!
