Hello, I seem to have the same problem as you all. I was using what I was told was a good anti virus program, Windows defender and a few others, and yet my computer has been infected. I'd appreciate if someone could send me the file to fix my problem.  32\rundll.exe file system is on my computer and I get a message that this file is missing.  And now, I don't know what to do.     1. did you of recent changes on the computer?

    2. has the recovery disk provided by Compaq?

    3. what happens when you try to boot from the recovery disc?

    Unfortunately, you will not be able to use the recovery disk to repair Windows XP as these recovery discs are very different from the original Windows XP.

    Therefore, you will need to make arrangements for an original CD of Windows XP and later to perform the installation of Windows XP.

    My desktop has windows xp media center edition with Service Pack 3 for years, there work and maybe it's time to junk food, however my laptop has windows vista, which I don't like, I have seen windows 7 and am not fond of him either, so what can I do?     I'm writing this in case others have had the same problem, I had and it was impossible to restore.

    When I pressed "del" and got the installer, I looked in the first box, product information.

    This info was typed in a field of google search on a working pc, and I discovered that I could restore my pc by pressing the ALT key and pressing F8 repeatedly. It will work for Acer Asprire anyway. Just an idea for all those who were distraught as I was and knew nothing about the restoration or what my pc really was. I was lucky and got my restored xp, it works ok and I enjoy it once more.

    Good luck to all of you who have had the same problem I did.

    Whenever I turn on my pc, I find the time to scan the disk and chjeck to find errors etc, just to try to avoid

    have a pc unstabel again.

    I followed the instructions to load the OS disk, type expand C:i386\rundll.ex_ C:\windows\system32\rundll.exe, etc., but the error continues to appear.

    Looks like you had a meeting with the FBI MoneyPack (Ransomware) malicious software.  Fact that all sounds familiar (FBI, your PC is locked, you need to pay your fine, etc.).

    You must first perform some scanners from reputable and do what they can do, but sometimes leave you with a fake startup item that you must manually remove using something like Autoruns.

    No matter what you use for protection against malware, perform the following analyses for malware, then correct any problems:

    Download, install, update and do a quick scan with these free malware detection programs (not at the same time):

    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/

    SAS will probably report a lot of tracking cookies and you can just let him delete them.

    Microsoft does not automatically contact you if you send details of error for them.  They use these reports to see what types of questions are trending and those that are trending upwards looked at herself.  The rest cannot.

    And your daughter has been very wise - the call she received WAS a scam and she did well to cling to their topic.  Microsoft never call you unless you call them first, and they tell you that they will call back.
