    Hello

Have you tried to catalog the backuppieces? The controlfile you restored might not be aware of the elements of backup stored at "/ app/oracle/BACKUP/RMAN/FULL/MYDB / '.

Try to catalog the location of backup or each backup piece separately.

    RMAN>catalog start with '/appli/oracle/BACKUP/RMAN/FULL/MYDB/';

    or

    RMAN>catalog backuppiece '';

    Hello

  • Create backup password

Remember - this is a public forum so never post private information such as numbers of mail or telephone!

I want to create a password backup disk.  When I get to "insert disc" my laptop will not recognize the DVD player to allow me to continue.  I have Vista Home Premium 32-bit. All updates installed.  I updated the driver for DVD.  What I find strange is that I can use the DVD player to play, burn, and load programs, but it will not allow me to create a backup disc.  What should I do?

    Dr. Ogheda,

The option "backup disc" comes from the old "floppy". Actually Microsoft have not yet changed the wording or the appearance of an option diskette in Windows 7 and probably don't watch change in Windows 8. It still reads 'create the password reset disk'.

I actually now added a tutorial illustrated for my site about creating the password reset disk:http://www.winuser.co.uk/50-creating-a-password-reset-disk.aspx

I'm also composing an illustrated tutorial on using effectively the drive remains to change the account password. This should be transferred in the next few days.

  • How can I recover my backup password because I forgot it on my HP laptop?

I forgot my password to my HP laptop backup. When I hit reset password and Password Wizard turns on, I struck then and plug my USB drive but it tells me to enter the password reset disk. (WHICH I DID NOT). I put a new cd - r disc and it tells me that there is not a disk valid! Help! What should I do? I need to get this going as quickly as possible to retrieve my notes for the work at the end of the week.

    Jimmy,

If you are referring to login your account password, a password reset disk is something that cannot be made in advance.  You can not retrieve or reset your existing password if you already have a password reset disk or written the password down somewhere unless you have an additional account on the computer that has the power to Admin-level at which case you can use it to reset the password for the account of the problem.

In this forum, no one can advise a remedy except reinstalling Windows.

  • ACS 5.3 backup password

When you make a backup on any one of the default ACS 5.x devices, the backup is encrypted with PGP. What password is used for this? Is - this configurable?

It is not configurable, and this information has not been made public. However, when you restore it should be able to decipher it is fine.

  • Missing backups, restorations, jobs... after the reboot.

    Hi all

After some discussions I had to reboot the ESX machines (with Vcenter, VDP, etc) and when I walked into vSphere Web Client I can not find any backups or work, no matter what.

I tried to reload again VCenter, VDP and VDP status checked and all the services are running, I don't see one alert special or warning, but everything is missing, do you know how to fix this?

    Thank you

    Fernando.

    Fibercool-

It seems that your POS performed a restore on reboot.

When this happens, it will roll back to the last valid checkpoint.    Question would be when the checkpoint was created.

Things to check would be - in the usr/local/avamar/var/log/ab_boot.rb.log, you should see an entry that said "perform rollback to...". "and it would list a control point name.  The control point name is formatted with the date in it.  That lets you know what date he restored to.

  • How can I find missing backups time capsule?

Installation of El Capitan in September caused my incoming mail to stop after a certain point, although he showed millions of so-called items waiting to be downloaded. After many attempts of troubleshooting, I went with my last resort for fitness and do a clean install of El Capitan.

When I went to my Time Capsule to restore my documents and applications showed none of my previous backups using the Star Wars. There are available dates in the timeline view, and the time Capsule shows my oldest as backup being December 1, 2015 after I ran the backup check, but I don't see anything beyond yesterday.

Backups must be present on the Time Capsule, because it shows "tuberculosis 1.14 2 TB available." My sparsebundle (only 13.2 MB) indicated no mountable file system when I double click on it. It also has . tmp.sparsebundle as the extension. There is no other sparsebundle showing.

I was looking for answers online and this forum and have yet to find a resolution. My first care in disk utility failed after a few hours, then immediately when I tried again. Any suggestions? Is it useful to fitness again? I did not choose the time Capsule to restore initially. I wanted to see if the mail would work before putting the time restore everything.

MacBook Pro (early 2011) El Capitan 10.11.3

Time Machine, please press the shift-command-C key combination. The windshield will show the mounted volumes. All snapshots should now be accessible. Select the one you want and search for files to restore.

If you need to restore from a backup of the hidden user library folder, first select a snapshot, and then press shift-command-G. A go to the folder dialog box opens. In this document, you enter the path to the folder. The dialog box will help you by automatically filling parts of the path when you start typing.

The path starts with the slash character ("/"). Enter that. The rest of the parts is separated by slashes.

The next part is the date and time of the current snapshot. Enter a '2', and the rest of the date should be filled in automatically. Press the right arrow key to access the end of the path. Enter a slash to start the next game.

Next is the volume name (usually "Macintosh HD" unless you assigned a different name.) Start typing, then jump to the end and enter a slash.

The next part is 'Users', followed by a slash.

Then is your short user name. It is also the name of your home folder, which is represented by an icon of the House in the sidebar of a Finder window.

Finally, enter "Library", and then press return. You should now be in the library folder. From there, you can move like in the Finder. You can also select another snapshot of the same folder.
