  (For best results, download all the Setup files below before you restore your computer to its factory settings. Files can be downloaded or copied to a USB flash drive).
  
  Preliminary work:

  Download the installation files (only if necessary!) SP2, SP3, IE8 and Avira Antivirus (beforehand). I prefer to keep these (and other useful files) on a USB key, but this is optional. Here are the links to all the installation of four files:

  1. physically disconnect from the Internet. Also unplug all unnecessary devices!

  2. turn your PC to its factory settings.

  Load Windows 7, let the updates for about 3 minutes... I first tried 8 mins but still many updates. So 3 works for me... I am also connected on wire on a Giga lan with Ultra fast connection to my ISP... So time could vary for you...

  After 3 minutes, I had 20 to 26 update ready to be used. Restart the computer. They worked. Makes about 3 times. ON the 4th time I down load 90 updates to see if it would work. But for some reason, if I let all try them and update from the beginning, they would fail.
