Missing failed to retrieve dv7-4270us "Bootmgr."

I'm trying to fix a computer laptop dv7-4270us for a friend technologically challenged. The hard drive has not 2 months after the expiration of the warranty. I bought a new, larger drive and a set of recovery disc for this model HP. After 6 recovery attempts (from the Directorate of Support FAQ), I always get the message "bootmgr." missing I tried the patch from cyberlink suggested in support, FAQ, nothing helps. After each attempt, I used killdisk to remove any previous attempts. I installed a pirated copy of Windows 7 and it installed fine. The problem is clearly with the recovery discs. From what I have gathered from surfing the Internet, this seems to be common problem. Someone has found a way to use the recovery discs to recover to a new disk? If this is not the case, how can I request a refund from HP for the discs? The operating system is Win 7 Home Premium 64-bit. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

You can install a legitimate copy of W7 by following the instructions below.

If you can read the Microsoft windows 7 25-character product key, you can download simple Windows 7 ISO files to burn on a DVD for the version of windows that is installed on your PC, and which is listed on the Microsoft COA sticker on your PC case.

Burn the ISO with the option to burn the ISO on your DVD burning program and burn it at the slowest possible speed that will allow your program. This will create a bootable DVD.

Use 25 characters on the PC product key to activate the installation.

The key will activate a 32 or 64 bit installation.

Then go to the support of the PC and driver page to install the drivers you need.

    I try to install EBS 12.1.1 on two different nodes on Redhat Linux 5. After properly installing the database on node1 (ebsdb), I started rapidwiz on node2 (ebsapps) to install the application technology. When I get to the screen where it asks "Do you want to create a new configuration or load a saved?", I chose to load a saved configuration, typied in the database connection information (ebsdb.sparkdb.com:PROD:1521) and get the following error. Anyone know what I am doing wrong? I am able to ssh to ebsdb to ebsapps and vice versa, and the database and listener is in place.

    I have written some documents in InDesign CS4 over the weekend and exported inx file to work on it to work using CS3. Something I do quite often.

    When I opened and save it as a new document in CS3 and trying to change my text, I get an error message that says:

    "Failed to retrieve this file. It can be used by someone else. "

    It's crazy, because it it only my folder and is not on any network etc... etc... etc...

    We know what could cause this and how I can close it, so I can work on my file?

    This problem is known. Failed to retrieve the mappings for the server. Reason: null. We fix it.

    Just to check the parameters are collected successfully from the server. Create the project and join the server to the same. CFM open and type must identify the data sources.

    Workaround for this problem is:

    Copy orabpel - thirdparty.jar/bpel/lib and place it in the folder/custom/BpelIntegration/lib , and add this variable in intradoc.cfg of the CS (stop the content server before performing this change):

    JAVA_CLASSPATH_bpel =/custom/BpelIntegration/lib/orabpel-thirdparty.jar

    Start content server after the steps above have been completed, and then test to see if the problem persists.

  • s7510n: failed to retrieve XP on Slimline s7510n

    I have 3 Slimlines from HP that came miss me their hard drives, optical and RAM drives (and with no power supply).  At first, I couldn't get anything from them, but (as detailed in another thread), after trying 2 different sticks of RAM, I was able to get into the BIOS of 2.

    Now, I got a recovery for the s7510n.  Yesterday, I tried several disks.  Some gave the message that these discs would not recover this model, and on others, the recovery through creation of partition on a black screen, then I had an HP logo screen, then white recovery screen with the blue on the left - this last screen also showed that the partition was created (yet?).  After that, recovery seems at first, but in just a few seconds, I get a message that the recovery has failed.

    I checked that version for the recovery set identifier matches that on the merits of the case.  I have no reason to believe there has never been a motherboard swap.  Today, I tried the whole process with a HDD freshly wiping that was bigger than the original, in which case it's one of the issues of yesterday.

    Yet once, it produced the results of this last one I mentioned above - created partition and everything seemed to be OK until I received a message that doesn't have a recovery.  I looked here for help re: recovery failed, but all I found was for laptops, or the systems that have been much more recent, or both.

    Thanks in advance for any help in getting these units upward and running.

    Thanks for your reply.  Nothing on this page that was not like what I was experiencing.  It turns out that Exchange strips from RAM to another pair allowed the recovery to proceed.  I write this here for the benefit of someone else who is looking for such a situation in the future.

    I've owned a large Pavilion s5325UK that the last few months, threw up Smart new warnings on the disk may fail.

    Yesterday, I bit the bullet and paid for a new HDD to be brilliant.

    Copied all my user data etc. to offshore on an external drive OK.

    I got the system once before after a kidnapping missed an infection by the virus.

    Installed the new drive is a Seagate Barracuda 500 GB SATA 600 7200 RPM 16 MB 3.5 "

    The party went well past and that seems to be made of conservation treatment unit to restart.

    Windows cannot be installed on this material,

    Then it's a series loop of reboots everything ending in the same error.

    The old drive is a Western Digital Caviar Blue of the same size.

    The problem with the new hard drive.  I dropped on a XP Pro image and mounted the drive to an old pc from redundant and it starts very well even if I do not mind that install drivers etc chip that was only to check the disc.

    I'm a bit confused now as I have now tried the recovery process 3 right now with the same error at the end of each attempt.

  • Failed to retrieve Windows Photo upward

    I backed up my HDD to an external hard drive Western Digital when my computer informed me that my hard drive was about to fail.   Then I restored my files to the new HD.  The problem is that my pictures have not been restored - the files are there, but they are empty.    I used Adobe Photoshop 2 to process the photos originally, but I don't have a copy saved this old application to replace on my new HD.    In my opinion, this is why I can't get the photos.  Can someone tell me how to restore the photos without the old software or tell me where I could find the old software for Photoshop 2?  I installed Photoshop 3, but I had never used it before, so it did not help.

    I used Windows to the top. I went through all suggestions from windows support to retrieve files from the back to the top, but all I get is the empty file folder.

    Are you facing the issue only with folders with pictures?

    You can try the following steps and check if it helps:

    a. right click on the folder and select Properties.

    b. check the size of the folder.

    If this isn't displays 0 bytes, then the folder is hidden.

    Please help me, I have installed timesten server and client on different machines in the LAN, but with the same user and group - ttadmin:ttgroup

    When I tried to connect to the server with ttisqlcs - connStr "DSN = sampleCS"

    The result gave me errors like below

    Fact.

    The related part in sys.ttconnect.ini is defined as below

    It does not matter that they are VMs (I use between virtual machines all the time), but "Networking" of VM, of course, must be set up correctly. But if you can ping and telnet between VMS so that shouldn't be a problem.

    On the client computer, you have an entry in/etc/hosts for the client machines and the server? Even on the server? Please check that and add entries if they are not there and see if it helps. If not then we need to find the client using 'strace' to see which system call fails. Please try and after the release (or at least the last part that leads to failure).

    It was a problem with the Machine profile configuration, where I had updated the username and password and it had to remain a Virgin.

    Keep the username blank password in the configuration of the machine profile has solved the problem.
