  I understand that you are having trouble with the HP Support Assistant software. I'd be happy to help you with that.

  To resolve this problem, you'll want to uninstall the wizard help completely. If you don't know how to uninstall the software, you can follow this document that will guide you through it.

  Once you have the old uninstalled software, install the new software using this download from the HP Web site.

  I would be happy to assist you with the support of HP Assistant.msi error. I suspect that the best thing to do is to completely uninstall the existing software and reinstall with the printer Installation Wizard. Please use the following steps to perform this task:

  1. Hold down the Windows Logo key () on the keyboard and the 'R' to open the dialog box run, type %temp%

  This is something tricky, simply because the Starter is not available anywhere to download (it's the OPK only), and it is not available to resettle them in the HP Recovery Manager. After researching this for awhile, it seems to me that your only option to get Starter upward and the execution is to perform a recovery of the HP System. This restores all of the original software, including programs that are not available to resettle them in the Recovery Manager. He is also the 'nuclear option' and will completely erase everything on your computer. You will need to back up all personal files that you do not want to lose.

  If you're desperate for Office Starter, you can use this recovery method. But if you're open to exploring other alternatives, you might want to try a freeware productivity suite (like OpenOffice, for example).

  Here is a link to the instructions for performing a HP system recovery for Windows 7. If you have a different version of Windows, let me know and I'll post a different link.

  Let me start by saying this: I used to work for Apple in the store. I know that the software and the beautiful products well (it has been a few years since then), but I was never a genius. I do not do things that will eventually be glitch the operating system.

  If this problem only somewhere between points 3 and 4 above?  "Consolidate" has a very special meaning with iTunes as an action done iTunes and to consolidate you need iTunes using preferences default to the Organization and to copy media.  At this point in your description I start losing track of what it was exactly you did and when things started does not.
