Missing files on Windows Server 2008 after Windows Update being run-

When I updated Windows Server 2008 via windows update, Server Manager no longer works. Miss me the following files:

Policy.1.2.Microsoft.Interop.Security.azRoles.dll,

System.Web.dll,

System.Transactions.dll,

System.EnterpriseServices.dll,

System.EnterpriseServices.Wrapper.dll,

System.Data.dll,

System.Data.OracleClient.dll, srmlib.dll.

Where can I find these files?

When windows update is running on my machine (and updates), my screen goes down to 1024 x 768.  I have a HD card of ATI all-in - Wonder and an Acer X203H LCD with DVI connection.  If I use system restore to go back, I can get higher resolutions, but Windows does its thing and I'm back at low resolution.  I can't change the settings manually as 1024 watch as the highest res available to the general public when this happens.  There must be some weird conflicts.  I tried to update the drivers, that made no difference.  Is there a setting Aero or the conflict at stake here?  In the past, I've had trouble with a display of balnk and I had to go back to the 2008 version of the driver to get things to work.  From there, whenever I update, I can keep high resolution, but after the last windows update (security of IE8 and much smaller pack that was released on March 28-30), it dates back to 1024 x 768 again.  Control Panel and catalyst control the two show that as more high resolution available for refresh rate. Suggestions?

Understanding Windows Update and Extras in Windows Vista

Download updates but let me choose whether to install them - if you select this option, Vista will download the updates on your computer, but not install them automatically. If you want to install updates, then you must install them manually. You should only select this option if you have a reason to not install updates automatically. Only advanced users should use this option.

Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them - if you select this option, you'll be alerted when there are new updates available for download and install. You can then choose to download and install the updates that you want. This option should really be reserved for people who know exactly which updates they need, or those who have little access to the Internet.

If I bought a used computer, no matter who previously owned the
first thing I could do with it would be to reinstall the operating
system itself. You don't know how the computer has been maintained,
which has been improperly installed, what's missing, what virus and
There may be spyware, etc. I would not live with someone
other errors and problems, possibility of kiddy p0rn, etc. and I
would not recommend anyone else to do.

If you reinstall Windows properly, you are playing with fire.

  • Missing files on Windows 7

I had windows 7 for a few weeks now on a brand new computer. I'm impressed, but I'm having a problem. Twice now, I turned on my computer to find my saved game files are absent, and my wife does not have the documents that she had worked on. The games were still installed, but when I went to play them (Comand and Conquer 3 and Resident Evil 5) I had to put the new purchase code and my saved games was left in the two programs. Windows Live does not remember my profile the way which he had many times before. The gadgets that I had installed on the desktop disappeared, history of the internet, Favorites, everything disappeared. Looks like an update runs and deleting files or restore to an earlier time. I didn't catch it doing, and no home did it on purpose. I think that's when the system boots. I'm not a computer guru and I don't have any idea what is causing the problem. It's very frustrating to know that I have to go kill all the zombies again!

Anyone know what could be causing this? Thanks in advance.

The only programs I have installed are Office 03, Norton Internet Security 2010, command and Conquer 3, Resident Evil 5 and tool XBOX 360 accessories (to run my XBOX 360 controller). I had no other problems or any other problem to be wary of. Norton runs a scan, and it comes out clean.

Fix of BigSarge87 was perhaps automagical?

... My wife called me at home this morning and said when she opened a session, everything was back to normal. Now it looks almost like some sort of problem user account. I'll check when I get home for lunch. There is only one account (the default) and a password that has been put in place, so I don't see how we could have been connected as the wrong user.

My plan now is that connection, then connect again the next time it happens to see if that fixes it.

  • Files on our server disappeared after installed CC

I hope someone can help me understand how to use them to retrieve the two folders that have been deleted from our server after installing the full suite could creative on the iMac (Designer) and InCopy on four computers (two PCs, two iMacs) editor. Macs are running Yosemite and the Windows 7 PC.

I now see discussion forums that this has happened in the past, but I hope to find out...

    1. is there a way to recover your files Adobe?

    2. How can I make sure that this does not happen?

The records in question were named 'Admin' and 'Archives', so I suspect the problem was that Adobe was a conflict with the directory names. But since Admin stored our contracts and Archives had our publication project files of the last five years, it is a big deal. (And don't you know that we have discovered this morning that our backup had been missing for 2 weeks, but no one told us. Grrr!)

    Any help would be appreciated.

So uncomfortable. Talked to Adobe on the phone support, then to our staff. It seems that someone here has several pop-up windows asking if it was OK to delete these records and she assumed that she should say Yes. At least missing files affect him more than the rest of us... Needless to say that I now turned off the preference of synchronization of file on the computer of everyone!

  • Software missing Notifications in Windows Update and Microsoft Update.

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit and options to get updates of Microsoft products and the new software is missing.  How can I fix it?

    Hello

I understand that the option for Microsoft products and new software is missing, and I'll be happy to answer your query. We will try the steps below and check.

Step 1: Try to update Windows Update agent such as documented here:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/949104

Step 2: Restart the Windows Update service. To do this, follow these steps:

    a. the logo-press Windows Key + R to open the run.
    b. type services.msc in the run box, and then press ENTER.
    c. right click on Windows Update in the Services management console and then click on stop.
    d. After Windows Update, click Windows Update and then click Start.

Step 3: Wait for Windows Update to start and check the Windows Update Agent is updated. For more information on how to check what version of the Windows Update Agent is installed, go to the section 'How to check which version of the Windows Update Agent is' in this article of knowledge Microsoft (KB).

How to check what version of the Windows Update Agent

1 open the %SystemRoot%\System32 folder. SystemRoot is the folder in which Windows is installed. For example, the folder % systemroot is C:\Windows.
    2 right-click c:\windows\system32\wuaueng.dll and then click Properties.
    3. click the Details tab and look for the version number of the file.

Hope this information is useful. Please feel free to answer in the case where you are facing in the future other problems with Windows.

  • Windows Update always running in background

    Hi all

I am running Vista and have reformatted and reinstalled three times in the last four or five months.  Whenever I installed, the pc works fine for a while then after a windows update, I don't know which, I start getting a lot of substantive activity on my hard drive.  This activity relates the mouse so much that sometimes it won't let me move it for 10 to 20 seconds.  Even with the keyboard.

After each reinstallation, I load Vipre, to update and run a security analysis. Can I update Vista with each patch MS listed as critical or recommended before installing other software.  Now, all that is loaded is MS Office, Adobe Web Premium, Sony Ebook Library and some printer drivers.

Manager tasks indicates little activity, 1-3% on each of the 4 hearts.  I restarted in safe mode, just to see if it might be something that takes over and I have the same problem in safe mode.  Lock the mouse and the hard disk activity.  Again, all the security scans show nothing other than a few cookies.

I saw in other Councils there have been problems with either Windows Update has blocked upwards or with the MS .net framework installed.

Someone has seen this before and if yes is there a solution that doesn't require a reformat and reinstall?

    Thanks in advance,
    Eric

  • Windows 7 Ultimate. Computer never stops when windows update is running.

I recently got windows 7 ultimate system and with the exception of two questions im love it.

The big one, is that, since at least two to three weeks every time the automatic windows update installs something windows closed, never stops.

I think the updates are installing, windows just hangs after the update is complete. (history of update of windows said that they where successful)

The screen will tell me its 1 installation of updates for a few minutes.

then it will say that its closure, that she will never be.
