Hello

Why don't take you back to where you fixed it; It is the sensible thing to do.

You do not tell us your operating system, but they are all similar.

You can contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send you a set of recovery disks.

They should do this for a small fee.

"How to replace Microsoft software or hardware, order service packs and replace product manuals.

You have probably destroyed this method when the relocation is already made.

And if you have never received a recovery disk when you bought your computer, there should be a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall Vista on how you purchased your computer.

The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

Ask them to the proper key sequence.

The methods above resettlement generally do not require allows you to provide a product key during Installation, the recovery process uses the Installation product key factory to activate automatically during the resettlement process.

See you soon.

    Hello

If the operating system is preinstalled, product key Finder programs won't find a product key that can be used for purposes of resettlement.

  • I'm looking for my product key for windows 8 on laptop fujitsu have preinstalled window 8

Laptop fujitsu, I bought a few days ago, I want to activate windows preinstalled 8 where can I get the product key, I tried but I couldn't so please help me

With Windows 8, Microsoft changed stickers that have the product key that the user must type in during the installation of the operating system of new embedded BIOS product key. The idea is that by eliminating the tile, you eliminate one of the easiest ways for nefarious users get a legitimate product key. The sticker also eliminating product key removes any concern that the vignette could get damaged while at the same time eliminating the long and irritating the process of typing in various letters and numbers in the installation of the operating system.

If the user has to reinstall the operating system on a computer with Windows 8, the installation process automatically captures key software product of the motherboard BIOS without input from the user. This means that these stickers familiar windows product key will no longer appear on Windows 8 computers.

Help with the activation process, contact technical support.

If your Windows product key label is worn out or unreadable, you can forget about getting any help from Dell or Microsoft. You're basically on your own. Microsoft will send you to Dell. Dell will send you to Microsoft. Microsoft will try to charge you money. Dell will try to charge you money. You'll spend an hour chasing your tail and you will get nowhere.

This is a very simple and very common problem. It is mind-boggling to me that there is not some sort of procedure in place to deal with a wide scope or unreadable COA label.

    Hello

2 years ago I bought a computer laptop Dell 'XPS 17 (L702x)' my production code is . I want to format my laptop and make "new" again, but I noticed that my windows product key is impossible to read. I can see a part of the key, but not all. It is xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx. In this way, I won't be able to re - install. Can you give me the missing part of my code? Where can I ask for it? I try to use a KeyFinder, but I know with certainty that they are 'find' the wrong code because I can read more than half of it and it is not matching. Please help me!

The key finder gives the System Locked Preinstallation key which is used for activation OEM Dell Dell.

You can find more information (in my very long document). See the Windows reinstallation Guide / A Clean install of Windows 7 step 2 to back up just in case product activation:

    http://philipyip.WordPress.com/Dell-community-forums/

If you use the DVD to reinstall Dell your product should automatically enter the Dell SLP key and activate when a Dell BIOS is corrected. If you use a Windows 7 .iso (recommended because it includes Service Pack 1), then you can use the backup and restore of activation program and restore the activation product, as mentioned in step 11. A clean install of Windows 7 will help guide you through the installation process

  • The Windows product key sticker has disappeared and cannot use it to activate

Windows product key sticker is missing at the bottom of my laptop and I can't do some of the latest figures, my laptop computer manufacturer did not provide any hardware Windows 7 or a disk and I contacted them and they won't help. My windows 7 is actually owner I have the sticker on the bottom of my laptop as evidence, can I send this to microsoft to help out me? also note, I had problems with my laptop and realizing that the hard drive has indeed not my old windows 7 installed and the hard drive is faulty, it cannot be extracted, that is the reason why I have a problem.

your manufacturer would have provided a recovery partition on your hard drive to recover windows. If your hard disk does not and you can't read your key, you will probably need to order from your manufacturer OEM recovery disks. (no key needed, because the OEM SLP key is embedded).

Try a bright light and a good magnifying glass to read your product key.

    Hello

    > Home Office thing
    Nice description ;)

In any case, I think you mean the version of Microsoft Office that is preinstalled on your laptop. As far as I know that s only a trial version of it and that means you need to buy a version of office if you want to continue using it.

If you n t buy a version of desktop, you can t more use it.

Finally, and especially if you have several problems, you should contact a Toshiba instead authorized service provider directly.

  • ENVY dv6 7200-sl: windows product keys 8.1

    Hello
I wanted to know if you can get a product key for windows 8.1 to upgrade my computer with a clean installation, because I had a virus that ruined both the recovery partition that windows partition. I have already downloaded on a another computer tool for installation crashed windows 8.1. To return to my question I was wondering if you can get a product key for my pc.
    Thank you

    Emanuel

You can make INSTALL CLEAN Windows 8.1 update on your laptop if it was pre installed with Windows 8, then Option 1 in this tutorial:
    http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/18309-Windows-8-Windows-8-1-ISO-download-create.html

Select the edition / the correct version of Windows came with your laptop (for example. Windows 8.1 language core 64-bit edition is pre installed OS in my machine), while you download the ISO file after downloading the media creation tool.

The version would be very probably seen in system properties in Control Panel. It'll be editing Windows Core single language more often on laptops consumer OEM.

Additional drivers can be downloaded from your support page and copied on an another USB and installed to your laptop after installing the OS.

You don't need to dig to the top of the product key. It is built into the BIOS chip. The Windows 8.1 update will be automatically activated with OEM product key in the BIOS.

For more security, you can save the key of Windows using this tool:

    http://www.Belarc.com/free_download.html

When running this tool, it produced a report, scroll to the section of management software for the product key Windows 8/8.1.

Note: This key will activate not detail that Windows 8 ISO downloaded from the Microsoft Web site. You must install the tool of creation of such Windows Media suggested by me before, to automatically activate your OEM Windows 8.1 update 64-bit.

  • HP Envy 14 LR198AV: HP sold me PC with no valid Windows 7 or at least an invalid Windows product key and product ID

I bought this PC in July 2011 and it is out of warranty.  After that of being harassed at level to Windows 10 months I decided to do it, but rather than the upgrade, I did a clean install from the laptop was malfunctioning.  I read on the Microsoft site that we could do it as long as they have Windows product key for Windows 7 Home Premium Service Pack 1 that was already installed on the machine.  I wrote that down with the Windows ID (different number).

I've updated by downloading Windows 10 to a USB key and then the installation.  Seemed to work very well (I think that I entered my product in the process ID).  Now, a few weeks later I get a message that I need to "activate windows".  I called MIcrosoft after it could not activate using the ID that I and after 30 minutes on the phone they me said my Windows product ID and both are my "invalid" Windows product key  I would call HP and get this sorted - I have the original order number and Microsoft said that's all I need for HP to help me - but I am out of warranty and apparently help me unless I pay them $60.  Another alternative is to buy a new copy of Windows 10 and pay MIcrosoft money.

I am shocked, because I'm simply doing what Microsoft has been harassment to me.

BTW, the PC seems to work fine except the message to activate windows.  I guess that another option is to do nothing.

    Any suggestions will be appreciated.

    Thank you.

Available for the free upgrade until the end of July 2016, according to the latest rules from Microsoft Windows 10. Thus, you will be able to spend to Win 10 If you want. I'm not a fan of win 10, but if you want to upgrade to it I personally recommend the ISO for Win 7 upgrade method to win 10-

    # Download the ISO from MS site, burn it to a DVD, insert the DVD into the PC and start the process from inside Windows 7

    # Follow the on-screen instructions then

Computers HP isn't a product key. When you first buy the computer operating system is already built into the motherboard (OEM). If in any case, that you have upgraded your operating system windows 10 and it asks for a product key. There could be a problem in your operating system while you perform an upgrade.

However, I use a Windows Xp Home Edition and this CD key is fine with *-*-*-*-Q6JWG.

    Hello

I read a few threads about similar problems with the BONE key and the key change has always helped
Sometimes, Microsoft rates the key of the image as incorrect or not valid. Why? I don't know... it's Microsoft you know ;)

Fact is that the key on the cover of the CD can only be used to activate the software Microsoft Works or OneNote installed on the laptop. The key is not responsible for the Windows operating system.
The key that could be used with the Win operating system is placed at the bottom of the unit.

Well, according to your message you used this key and now I m a bit confused
I think you should make a call to the Toshiba authorized service provider in your country to clear this problem

  • Question about "Windows 8.1 DG to Windows 7 Pro 64-bit" and Windows product key

I have acquired a recnet ThinkPad T450 fdrom a retialer online (NCIX) and I hav ea a few questions about the installed Windows operating system.

Before I just go further, HRE are some information about my particular system.

    Lenovo ThinkPad T450

    Model: 20BV00BUS

    CPU: Intel Core i5-4300U

    RAM: 4 GB

Under the product description, it was stated "Windows 8.1 DG Windows 7 Pro 64." My understnading, the ThiknPad has been installed with Windows 8.1, but downgraded to Windows 7. There is also a Windows 8 Pro badge sticker at the bottom of the matchine.

Is it possible, at the end of the user/consumer, to alter the functioning ti repressive back Windows 8.1?

Can I create a recovery with Windows 8.1 disk?

A separate but related matter relates to the Windows product key.

I noticed the Ultrabook do not come with a sticker / label with the Windows product key (i.e. COST). Some quick research indicated that the Windows key is programmed into the BIOS.

This indeed true (I wish an audit)?

The key is visible in some way (for when you need to reinstall the operating system. I have not tried to enter the BIOS at the moment)?

Thank you for taking the time to consider my question.

    Kind regards

    Victor L.

    Hi Victor,

I'm in the same boat as you type, but want to keep the facilities of Windows 7 rather than pass them to 8. Just like you, I buy our Lenovo from different retailers and they come with windows 7 installed through the Windows 8 lower upgrade program.

We had one or two laptops come with a recovery media (for windows 8/8.1 only) but have noticed that all laptops now come with no physical media or codes for the recovery. WIN8 stickers, you described is more came with the license key on the sticker (it comes to stop you using the same license again and again, microsoft will get more money if you buy another license etc.). I also saw that the key is essentially located in the BIOS but were not able to test what we use any of windows 8. I use it even at home!

To answer your question, you can get a recovery of Lenovo for Windows 8 media!

Go to the following link: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/lenovorecovery

(It help you understand why this method is used on this page as well)

    Select Start,

Please have your serial number of your laptop, (to find it go to this link: https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/find-product-name)

If you qualify (which you will very probably) Lenovo will ship for free, recovery disks give it a go, took me 2 minutes.

    I hope this helps.

    Best regards, Max.
